Timely delivery on in stock items
Timely delivery on in stock items. Very helpful in emails when shipping to me in the United States. Honest about items not in stock and didn’t waste my time. I’ve used Willow and stone several times in past few years for almost all my knobs and pulls. Products are beautiful and well made. Impressive.

Excellent across the board
I've bought from Willow & Stone a few times. The website is one of the best online stores I've seen. Excellent photography. Excellent check-out experience. They're easy to get hold of in case of any questions. And the products are outstanding, at a really fair price.

Thanks so much for the review, glad we were quickly able to solve an issue!
Likked the product aesthetics but...
Delivery of letter box was on time and product, which was purchased because of its aesthetic, period design looked the part. There were however practical problems. Firstly the face plate was quite shallow so that the hinge mechanism + the fixing points for the through the door bolts had to be recessed into the door. This made it evident that the hinge mechanism was only a few milimetres clear from the edge of the face plate making it difficult to fit without a gap but in my case the existing door cut was irregular and this is inevitably visible. (There were no detailed dimensions on the website and no tenplate is provided to assist installation.) Also whilst the brasswork should be reasonably corrosion resistant, the hinge, spring, bolts etc are mild steel. In the best of circumstances there would be galvanic corrosion but we are by the sea! I will use corrosion inhibitors to minimise the harm but I'm not optimistic.

We are really pleased that you like the look of your letterplate as much as we do, and I do hope it lives up to expectations. We’ve been selling them for nearly 20 years and can honestly say that we get very very few issues. However, we would be really interested to be kept up-to-date with how yours fares, but to reassure you, we are ourselves based right beside the harbour so we do sell a lot of door furniture for properties very close the sea. (The stainless steel collection was developed for exactly that). See how you get on, but I’m confident you will be pleasantly surprised. A regular wipe over to remove salt residue from the surface of the letterplate is the most important thing. I do agree that letterplates can be a faff to fit especially on older doors with existing holes as there’s no ‘standard size’, but once installed do a wonderful job. Thanks again for taking the time to review.
