I'm sorry you had a bad experience! We do a lot more than look for grammatical points, though the needs of each document depends on the document itself. Generally, we look for errors in syntax, fluidity, grammar, awkward vocabulary choices, and other issues that makes your document sound less than native. While documents that are well-written or very technical will generally have fewer changes than average (due to our desire to ensure the original meaning of the document remains the same), we do very consistently catch far more errors than Grammarly, and make many changes Grammarly doesn't tackle, including changes to overall sentence flow, syntax, and vocabulary.

I had one document proof read from write-saver.
Additionally, i mailed them if they can edit it to make it suitable for admission committee which i was applying for.
And they asked me for the complete document and mailed me the proof read version of 1300 words in like an hour.
Their services are excellent and they deserve all the praise they can get.

2nd update: They did send messages and they were in my spam and I didn't see them so I'm now updating this review to 5 star due to my error in not looking, not their error. Thank you for responding to this review and letting me know!!
Update to this review: after going on their website again, I found a dashboard where they did say they got document and then another where they say its done but I never got an email back with my revised document or anything saying changes were made or anything at all saying what status is to my requests about anything. Please add email confirmation so people don't have to check your website every 20 minutes to see if project is complete.
I think I uploaded my document but never received any confirmation so I sent a message on their website asking if they got it and how long it would take but I never heard anything back and I went on website today and it says completed but I never got an email saying it was done so I have no idea if it was corrected as nothing looks different. Poor customer service and communication.

Hi Laura,
We do actually have confirmation emails, and send an email when a proofreader starts working on your document and when it’s completed. We also sent you an email in response to your email asking us to confirm we received your document, and another email earlier today in response to your other email. I’m guessing all of our messages are going to your spam folder: please search your inbox/spam for emails from contact@writesaver.co.

Our editor clearly made a typo when changing your sentence structure around, but I can assure you she is a native English speaker (as the other 70+ correct edits on your document can confirm). Sorry for the issue! We strive for perfection on all our client's documents, but we're all human and rarely mistakes do happen.

Thanks for your review! Generally we do edit sentence structure where necessary, but it looks like that wasn’t really one of your issues in the document. There were sentence structure edits made in a few sentences, but generally your sentence structure was good!

When a sentence is unclear, we take our best guess as to what it means and make sure the finished product is in fluent, clear English.
