AccuVision - The Eye Clinic Avis 

I had LASIK one week ago, and I couldn’t be happier.

I’d spent the last couple of months shopping around, and AccuVision (Fulham) were by far the ones who made me feel more like an elective patient and not a customer.

They have a small team of professional, open, knowledgable and friendly staff. The consultation was thorough, pros and potential cons were explained in detail, and the quote was straightforward with no sales tactics or pushy phone calls. Everything is about achieving the best results, and not trying anything to get your signature.

I decided to go with AccuVision, and when I asked, was given a copy of my surgeon’s CV. After another series of tests immediately before the procedure, I met the surgeon and within ten minutes it was all over.

The aftercare has been superb, and I couldn’t be happier with the results (my eyes are still stabilising but are already better than 20/20). In terms of quality of life it’s a transformation,

The only thing to point out is, at the time of review, there’s an upfront fee of £150 for the initial consultation (which goes towards the cost of the procedure should you choose to go ahead), so if you’re shopping around you may want to take advantage of providers who offer this service for free first.

That said, I’m so glad I followed my gut and went with AccuVision and I’d recommend them without hesitation to anyone considering surgery.

I am 56 years old and have had poor eyesight from 10 years old. Over the years, it has deteriorated to 5.50/4.75 per eye. In addition I was struggling with short sighted vision unless I held a book a few inches away! Not a great situation. I had friends that had had surgery a few years ago and some recently, all of which said that it was the best thing they had ever done. I had always been a sceptic but it was a 'now or never' moment and I decided to take the plunge.

I attended the Wetherby clinic and my optometrist was a fantastic lady called Natalia. She guided me through the procedure from the initial consultation, obviously many questions and worries from me, through to pre procedure, post procedure and the regular check ups thereafter.

The service Accuvision provide is nothing less than 100% professional. Even during the procedure you are being reassured and guided through the process which I found reassuring.

It is not actually as harrowing as you might think. It is over within a few minutes. I think with regard to recovery, for some it can be immediate and for others the brain adjusts to the new sight situation but even then the immediate change is unbelievable and then after a few weeks in my case, I could see and read without countless pairs of glasses and contact lenses. I can't believe that I did not have this treatment years ago! To quote my friends, 'this was the best thing I have ever done'!

My sight was very poor and declining at a worrying pace. Accuvision provided me the answer that my opticians couldn't, by identifying my keratoconus and outlining the necessary treatment to prevent my sight from getting worse.

I underwent a very successful laser-guided topography which drastically improved my corneal shape and my overall sight. The results far exceeded my expectations as I no longer need to wear glasses at all and the support I have received post-treatment has been fantastic.

I have been wearing glasses for over 14 years and I wanted to take the jump to have laser eye surgery and it was the best decision I’ve ever made.
I attended the Birmingham clinic and right from the initial consultation, I felt at ease. I didn’t even feel nervous for the procedure as the atmosphere is so relaxing and everyone took the time to explain every step of the way. It has been 1 day since my procedure and I have attended to have my check up, I now have 20/20 vision and don’t have to reach for my glasses anymore.

I used the treatment centre in Solihull Birmingham. Like most people i was quite nervous about this and researched every detail. However from the first time i went for my Pre Opp, to the after care service, i cant recommend Accuvision enough. Brilliant !

The Opticians explained everything and put me at ease with any questions i had.

I can also say that the treatment lasts about 30 seconds each eye and felt no discomfort at all. Watching videos on the internet is nothing like how straight forward and comfortable it actually was.

I was very hesitant about proceeding with LASIK eye surgery, but it’s the best decision I’ve made! The team made me feel at ease from the phone consultation, in person consultation, the surgery itself and the aftercare. My sister and I had the procedure on the same day and we could not recommend Accuvision enough. So friendly, trustworthy and supportive right the way through. 10/10 service.

AccuVision was superb from start to finish! Vikash and team spent all the time I needed to explain the procedure, educate me on eye health and what to expect during and post op! Lasik was painless and so quick and the results are absolutely amazing from day 1. For those that are on the edge, thinking whether to do it or not, its worth every penny! Sitting in Accuvision’s inviting waitingroom now after one of my last post-surgery checks, sharing my review: I had LASIK surgery here on both eyes, 5 months ago, and have 20-20 vision now. I used to wear glasses/contact lenses every day since I was a child. Having full vision now is just amazing. It took several weeks for my second eye to heal properly, it was constantly improving, in contrast to the other eye, which was full vision straight after the surgery, but I was told that can happen. The Accuvision team guided me through all in the most professional and caring way, helping me with my fears before the surgery, and afterwards during the healing process. I can highly recommend them, and would definitely do surgery there again!

After growing tired of wearing glasses with my eyes constantly declining rapidly, I attempted to get laser eye surgery at a high street opticians. I was turned down on the day of my surgery after tests determined my prescription was too high (-5.0) and my corneas were too thin. I was devastated and accepted I would have to wear glasses for the rest of my life. 2 years later I came across Accuvision and discovered they had a much broader and specialised range of treatments and equipment available than anywhere else I had previously seen. I decided to book a consultation at Accuvision London Fulham even though I didn’t have my hopes up seeing as I was now a -7.0. To my surprise, after running my eye tests with multiple opinions to confirm my suitability, it was determined that I was suitable for a Trans-Epi Lasek procedure with a further cross-linking surgery to stabilise my corneas to prevent any future issues that could arise.Both procedures only took an hour and I was comfortable the whole way through. The healing procedure was tough for the first two days but since I have felt free. The blessing to be able to see clearly is definitely something I will never take for granted. I am even relieved I had previously been turned down by the other opticians. The standard of care and support both pre-procedure and post-procedure has consistently been incredible. This is not a clinic that will abandon you after treatment, I have regular check up appointments. I am now 2 months post op and 20/20 on the chart. I am much happier and more confident. I can’t thank the team enough, I will forever be grateful.

The best decision I have made in a long time!
I had been happily wearing monovision contact lenses for 5 years, but my eyes were gradually drying out and my lenses were lifting at the edges, irritating my eyelids. I had been toying with the idea of LASIK surgery when a chance meeting with a lady praising Accuvision made up my mind.
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Each stage was explained clearly and I never felt pressured. Natalia at the Wetherby clinic was a superstar and I felt that I was in safe hands throughout. Even though the surgery was explained step-by-step and was a painless experience, it still feels like there must have been some magic going on as I could see immediately!
My aftercare has been (and continues to be) amazing and the team have made every effort to accommodate me. My eyes quickly adjusted to my new monovision prescription and feel so much better now they are not irritated daily by contact lenses.
