Overall great experience. My wife and I appreciated the knowledgeable guide who spoke excellent English. Tour was interesting--great hotels, fine food, and comfortable travel.

The greatest part of the "Italy by Rail" experience with Alexander and Roberts was the ease of having the framework of the trip already planned by my husband - from the chauffeured transports in Mercedes vehicles, to the complimentary breakfasts at the hotels, to the private tours of the Colosseum in Rome and the Academia in Florence, to the first class reserved seats on high speed trains, to the private gondola ride with a singer and accordion player.

A terrific guide and jam-packed itinerary of sites and culinary local delights. Be sure to have comfortable walking shoes for this tour.

My host, Taric, met me at the Cairo airport and whisked me through, and got my Visa, in minutes. He did the same thing for me when I departed. The relief of having an Arabic speaker get me my boarding passes and navigate the Cairo airport was priceless. The driver, Menin and my daily guides, Randa and Walid were great. I had a wonderful experience in Egypt, really couldn't have been better.

Itinerary was thoughtfully organized. Guide and driver were professional and attentive. Lodging arrangements were largely excellent, as were meals.

Our Visions of Egypt tour was the journey of a lifetime thanks to Alexander & Roberts. Their attention to every detail was exceptional, and our tour guide and expert Egyptologist, Yassar, made not only the ancient history of his beloved homeland come alive, but he (and other A&R staff) also attended to our every need along the way. It was an incredible experience!

Small intimate tour groups are what we like about A&R Tours. Using local tour-guides and Naturalists are also what make this company unique. It is obvious that only the best talent and personalities are employed by A&R and it shows. Great experience was had by all on our tour to Peru.

Me took the Machu Picchu/Reserva Amazonica trip. The itinerary for our trip was full of so many different experiences and the tour guides made each one interesting. The hotels were very nice, and the one in Cusco was exceptional. The restaurants were very good!
Given the number of transfers required for this trip it would have been very difficult for us to manage, but A&R took care of arranging all tickets and boarding passes and our luggage.

You get what you pay for. Although Alexander and Roberts tours are not cheap, the service and accommodations are second to none. During our Kenya/Tanzania safari, we were pleased with the quality of service, accommodations, and the knowledge of the guides. This was a fabulous trip.

Just returned from our 17 day custom tour of Italy and Greece. A&R handled everything beautifully for us. From the Hotels to the private tour guides to all of the travel arrangements between destinations, everything was taken care of. Nothing left to chance with top-notch providers used. We are thrilled with the experience we had and recommend A&R without reservation. They are true professionals!!

Rhonda Sherman planned our trip and did an outstanding job. Everything was seamless and perfect. The hotels, train and guides and drivers were great.

They took care of everything and let us truly enjoy our time in Peru. Our guides, particularly Sheila, was excellent and helped with any questions we had about Peru. Each transfer from town to city to airport was seamless. Staying at the top of Machu Picchu was the highlight. Being the first one in on the second day with few people was beyond expectations. So peaceful and well, transformational.

Basically the trip started off on the wrong foot.we signed up for an AR trip however it was with another cruise line who did not know who we were there was 4 couples.we had problems getting our COVID checks etc.Than we had a person take us the 4 couples to the ship and a supposed tour of Toronto.The van did not have a working HVAC system and no shocks to speak of and to top it off the driver was supposed to give us a tour and talk about the City He dropped us off and 3 places to kill time and did not know anything about the city except to get us to the ship>>>Terrible trip.... once on the ship we were ok based upon this I would not use this company again unless we were using their facilities

Our safari in Tanzania and Kenya was absolutely amazing. The guides, the drivers, all people involved were very knowledgeable and fun to be with. The accommodations were awesome. The
numbers of animals that we saw, and the sheer expanse of the land made it a wonderful experience.

Having traveled with Alexander & Roberts multiple times, I can say that their itineraries, guides, and schedules are excellent. I will travel with them again.
Eery trip is different, and much of the success of a trip depends on the travelers. One glitch is our last trip was the number of tourists in general in the region we were visiting, so that even though we thought we were staying in one hotel, we ended up in another hotel for an additional cost. I understand what happened, but it was unfortunate. The additional cost was not worth the hotel, even though it was nice, but the trip was very good.
