Alexander + Roberts Avis 

Perfect trip—Alexander and Roberts does everything right! The itinerary, accommodations and meals, transportation, along with their assistance entering and leaving Egypt, worked out great. Our Egyptologist was incredibly knowledgeable and his enthusiasm regarding the antiquities and their history made all our experiences interesting and fun. The Historia far exceeded our expectations! It was lovely, the staff was excellent, and the food was delicious.

It was a great trip to Helsinki and Kakslauttanen in the Arctic forest. The food in the dining room was mediocre, two of my four dinners were Luke warm and needed to be sent back. The reception staff at the main lodge was inexperienced and had trouble with English( they are staffed from all over the world , yet English was a challenge for many. In Helsinki the Hotel Lilla Roberts was truly nice, except for turning on the shower required getting wet . Good location, nice breakfast and dinners at the hotel . Nice staff.

Our trip to Finland was well organized and managed! Hotel Lila Robert’s was lovely, breakfast fantastic, location great! We loved our guide taking us through and around great spots in Helsinki, laying a path we revisited on our own when we returned from Lapland’s Kakslauttanen Resort. Thoroughly enjoyed the lodging(kelo log cabin with glass domed igloo) and the excursions particularly the dog sled adventure. Wanted more of Sami culture information and contact.

Recently took A&Rs Gems of Central Europe Tour. A&R did not disappoint. The tour consisted of visits to Budapest, Vienna and Prague with tour guides in each city. First off the accommodations in each of the cities was excellent. They were located within walking distance of the major historic area with many choices to take part in local cuisine. Our guides took us around the first day in each of the cities and showed us the rich architectural heritage and explained the historic legacy of their cities and culture so that we could further explore them on our own time. The guides were also helpful in recommending best places for enjoying local cuisine. Commuting between cities by train was effortless. The guides escorted us to our trains to ensure our travel to the next location was stress free. At the next city, drivers were at the platform waiting to transport us to our hotel. The hotels were top notch. The included buffet breakfast provided different choices from local fare to international food. At the conclusion of our tour we were driven to the airport and taken directly to the appropriate check in. Overall A&R excelled in selecting the accommodations, vetting the guides and ensuring that our vacation was stress free. I would highly recommend A&R Gems of Central Europe tour if you are considering a more personal tour experience.

Alexander +Roberts "Spectacular South Africa & Victoria Falls" was an amazing trip! It was perfect in every way and exceeded all expectations! All the hotels and the private game reserve lodging were exceptional! Beautiful rooms, grounds, and exceptional service. The tour guides for all the destinations were personable, knowledgeable, very engaging, and passionate about their job. Every tour, destination, and highlight of each region was well covered. The food and dining were exceptional as well. Their Customer/Concierge service was outstanding and took away any apprehension about preparing for the trip. We could not ask for a more perfect trip! We highly recommend it!

Everything including myself was well taken care of. I like that tips and everything is included. They select the best guides and arrange so many things that arent part of itinerary.

Absolutely spectacular. The arrangements, facilities, tour guides were terrific, and of course just visiting these unbelievable places was incredible. The guides were very knowledgeable and helpful, and flexible with what to do.

This is my fourth trip with Alexander+Roberts, this time a multi-cities tour in China. The accommodations were great! Pacing was leisurely, local meals were tasty and interesting. The local guides make the trip great: multi-lingual, great personality, caring, considerate, and appropriately they are local. I visited Tibet, Beijing, Guilin, Xi'An, and Shanghai. As this is China, a lot of pieces (hotel itinerary) have to occur when putting together the China VISA application, plan early to account for the many days needed for this part of the process so that the VISA process goes smoothly, the latter process is separate and can be stressful. I did have a problem on the trip, but I used the emergency number and they help resolve it. Significantly, I was half-a-world away, and they came through fixing a domestic flight issue. Meaning, it's good to know they're there to help and they came through terrifically. Lastly, I love the souvenirs, a great reminder of my journey.

The overall planning and our guide, Mustafa, made this trip unforgettable. Morocco truly is magical and the people are warm and genuine. We visited right after the earthquake and the local agency adapted very well to substitute visits for the few places we could not go. And did I mention the food? Amazing!

All good. Very enjoyable experience. This is what travel and vacation time are all about. Great itinerary. Super hotels. Itinerary was good mix of 'go' and 'rest'. Greece at its best. Much thanks to A+R.

The Journey to Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia-Herzegovina was a well-organized tour explored with our extraordinary local guide leading us. From the mountains to the coasts, the scenery was beautiful and varied and for the most part, we were able to avoid hoards of day trippers by occasionally going off the beaten path. What I found most fascinating, was learning the history and seeing how these conflict-torn countries have resurrected themselves (or not). Recommendations: 1) more time in Sarajevo or in the national parks and less in the port cities where cruise ship day tours are overpowering. 2) Capping the group at 16 is a sound idea and should be continued. 3) Have a more accurate rating of 'Tour Walkability': there were a number of travelers who had a hard time ambulating even on flat surfaces and missed out on visiting certain sites.

Everything was first class, on time and truly wonderful. The accommodations, the drivers, the guides, the tours, outstanding. The trip was a 10 to us! We hope to use Alexander and Roberts again in the future.

Our Expedition Cruise to Alaska-Northbound in July, 2023 was our 4th trip with Alexander Roberts/AAA. This was our first cruise. The other trips were small group.
Our expedition guide reminded us we were on an expedition and not an ordinary cruise. With the encouragement of the guides, we went on zodiacs, which we loved, took part in scientific talks onboard, visited small towns and learned from the indigenous people about their history, lives, and environment. It was a unique experience which is typical of AR.

Everything was well organized. That made the trip very stress free and very enjoyable.

Alexander & Roberts developed a custom tour of Italy based on our specifications (Venice, Florence, Rome, Naples). A&R did all of the planning, the travel logistics and secured the daily local guides. A&R recommend several hotels in each city giving us the final choices. Everything worked flawlessly for the entire 15 day trip; all of the guides were superb, with lots of location knowledge and a clear passion for their city/subject. Each day had a structured 4-6 hour tour leaving the afternoon and evening for self exploration; this combination worked very well for us. This was the trip of our dreams and A&R’s execution of every detail made it a wonderful experience.
