Food very generic, I do not understand how an Italian restaurant cannot cook Italian food authentically Epsom branch the worst.

We went to the Ask Italian in Lakeside, Thurrock without a reservation and despite it being a very busy Saturday-the staff accommodated myself and 6 others for my niece’s birthday. Despite them letting me know they needed the table back by a certain time the kids took time eating and they went above and beyond to cater for us. Particularly Alex organised our booking and Joanna helped us order our food etc both members of staff were excellent. All staff at Lakeside Ask are friendly and kind but these ladies made it a wonderful experience. A great team, kind, funny, quick with service and really helpful. I recommend this to people with families and you will have fresh food, lovely staff and a great dining experience. We will dine there again for sure and I’ll be telling my family and friends. I also love the fact that have calorie content written on the menu for those who want lighter dining. Ask Italian Lakeside-thank you!

We weren't planning on eating here, but are so glad we did. The staff fit a family of 9 last minute, without any fuss. We were served quickly by a waiter who was brilliant with the kids and friendly with the adults.
The food when arrived was excellent, Everyone at the table was impressed by the quality of their food.

We visited Pontefract Ask Italian as a party of four. We were seated within 5 minutes and appropriately given allergen menus for 2 of us. The drinks and food were served promptly and the meals were lovely. It was quite busy and all the staff did a great job. Thank you to Paige and the team.

Ask yourself why waste your money on cold bland food served at a snails pace worst meal and service EVER!!!

Chelmsford branch - We went to ASK Italian last night for a double birthday celebration - what should have been a happy night turned into a disaster. Starters took 40 minutes to arrive, mains 1.5 hours after we sat down. We parked in Tesco’s and the driver was getting anxious that the 3 hour parking was going to expire and he would have to move the car.

It turned out that they were down 2 staff and it seems that the people cooking the food weren’t chefs (the smell of burned food was emanating from the kitchen) After finally arriving, 2 of the meals were cold, the ‘baked’ pasta dish was more like soup (no spoon) no garlic bread as ordered, no added chicken breast with the mushroom dish! What can I say! As expected it appeared that the table next to us also received the same ‘service’.

The only positive was that ‘Otty’ the Manager on duty (unfortunately on her first week!) dealt with the situation magnificently and was commendable in how she communicated with us.

Would like to hear from someone within senior management to discuss this further, as it was an absolute shambles.

The exceptional service from Ask Italian, Birmingham today has lead me to write my first ever review.
We were greeted by our waiter Jayden who lead us to our table.
He was so professional, friendly and
welcoming from our very first interaction. His knowledge of the menu was very helpful and made ordering our food an easy process.
The food was amazing, the service brilliant and this is why I highly recommend this restaurant and will be
returning soon.
Jayden really made our visit enjoyable
today and an asset to Ask Italian.

There were four of us and we opted to dine at ASK Glasgow as it was close to the Theatre Royal with at least 90 mins to spare. Service is so far the slowest I’ve ever encountered in a Glasgow restaurant. In the first hour we had only received our starters. We chased up our mains as time was getting tight to eat properly and go. It never arrived until 1hr 20mins after we sat down. Food was average. We ate quickly, settled up and left. This is the 3rd time I’ve eaten at ASK before a show thinking I had enough time and every time the service has been painfully slow and we’ve ended up rushing our food. It’s so handy for the theatre and I thought one more chance but this was our final try. Unless you you’ve got all the time in the world I’d choose another restaurant with faster service.

Bournemouth Ask Italian. Disappointing generally. Food luke warm, unappealing, expensive for what you get. I ordered the verdure with goat cheese and squash-not much of either. Not much evidence of the spinach either. My husband’s festive pizza at 16.95 was a rip off. It looked stale and hardly any toppings that were recogniseable as festive! Won’t be going back.
The staff were great. Ask Italian is lucky to have them.

Went to the new Ask Italian at Merry Hill Dudley. It was very busy but all of our food was excellent and we had fabulous service. We look forward to returning and trying something else after Christmas

Shockingly poor dining experience in stratforduponavon restaurant. Well over an hour for mains to arrive when kids hadn’t ordered any starters and were hungry. Not once over the three hour service did anyone ask if we wanted any more drinks other than those served to us when seated. No one responded to poor review via their social channels.

Not as good as it once was. Portion size has decreased, also not enough meat ratio to pasta so some of the pasta was dry. Staff friendly and attentive and nice that you had a freebie shot of still lemonade.

They had run out of pappardelle so ended up with brisket and spaghetti that was cold my husband waited until he’d virtually finished his meal before the correct garlic bread was served they originally bought him cheese
The desert, brownie and gelato took a while too
We were so disappointed cause we both love Italian food
However the wine was really good so as the
restaurant is newly open i hope these are just teething troubles

They call Italian cuisine? You should be shut down!! We ordered carbonara, risotto with mushrooms and chicken and tomato sauce pasta. They were awful no taste and definitely was frozen food. It was served cold. They give you cheese that waitress touch with they are hands and it’s awful. The charge for each dish doesn’t value what u eat!!

Service is slow and crap. Please you should be ashamed to call it Italian my dogs wouldn’t eat it.

Wide menu choice,good food ,friendly helpful staff. Allergy aware, reasonable waiting time, really enjoyed our meals and appreciated the care taken by Sarb.

Their non gluten menu looks nice but most is not available for delivery orders, so unfortunately I’ll never know.

FOOD POISONING - NEVER AGAIN!

Went for dinner with friends last Saturday and after the incredibly slow service and poor quality food, I got food poisoning 1 hour after eating. I was the only one eating the garlic fries and mayonnaise that night and ended up on the toilet for a few hours.

Even after this terrible experience. I emailed them where they harassed me asking insensitive questions and then refused to offer a refund or any form of compensation after literally poisoning me. Their argument is that I contracted it somewhere else. Both me and my wife ate the exact same thing for the last week and my body reacted instantly from their disgusting food.

Horrendous Food Quality and Health and Safety Standards that seriously need to be investigated. The audacity to poison a customer and offer nothing is beyond me.

Went to ask Italian in swansea last night.
I would like to congratulate the team that were 4 people light and did an absolutely remarkable job with the restaurant so busy.
A slight wait but nothing really but I must say the service was 11/10 and the food was just as good.
It was probably the best tasting food I have had in a long time and credit where credit is due.
Staff and chefs were amazing and full credit to your business and staff on last night.
11/10 from us with a truly remarkable meal and given the staff issues was even more impressive.

The food at the Chichester restaurant was very nice!
However, the service was appalling had to wait ages for the courses in total my friend & I were there for just over 2hrs.
I felt it was due to the fact, I was on crutches!
The table next to us had no problems!

ASK Italian, Bluewater, has become a beloved spot for my family, especially our kids.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm and friendly smiles. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place for a family dinner.

Their dedication to providing a family-friendly environment is heartwarming. Despite not having an extensive kids menu, they go over and above to make sure the kids enjoy their food. The staff is patient and accommodating, making our family dinners stress-free and enjoyable.

ASK Italian - Bluewater has undoubtedly become our go-to restaurant for family outings. We can't thank them enough for consistently providing us with a fantastic dining experience. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
