Always beautiful cakes
Always beautiful cakes, taste amazing and my son would be so disappointed if I didn't order him one every year now and he is 38!! Last one was for my bestie of 67 years and she loved it too! Always order lemon drizzle - incredible!!

EXCELLENT QUALITY
Well packaged. Very tasty lemon drizzle cake covered in a sheet of icing decorated with elegant cherry blossom and anattractive personal message. The cake did not dry out.

The buying experience was very straightforward. I did have to contact customer service and I received a prompt response.

Not exactly what I ordered
As previously mentioned exceptional customer service amazing cake very well presented
Although have stated that I was disappointed at not receiving exactly what I ordered which was the cake toppers I received a game instead which wasn’t age appropriate this did sadden me as the toppers were the reason why I ordered the cake in the first place I had high expectations at wanting to make my sons 1st birthday extremely special which sadly I didnt

Cake was nicely made
Communication for us was poor. Needs improving after we requested an upgrade nobody communicated back to us
Packaging was good but could use slight improvement as the sides of the cake got mashed about during transit

That said, we're very sorry to hear about the lack of communication after you requested an upgrade. This certainly isn't the level of customer service we aim to provide, and we apologise that we let you down in this regard.
We're also sorry that the cake suffered damage during transit. We're currently working with new packaging suppliers and are introducing a new courier this week, so we're hopeful these improvements will significantly reduce issues like this in the future.

single tier named victoria sponge birthday cake
Ordered a single tier named victoria sandwich cake with circular flower style. It arrived in the time frame and fortunately was boxed and packed carefully which was just as well as the delivery man literally threw the box down causing the cake to slightly slide off its silver cake board. Cake was lovely and moist and looked great.

Great service from bakerdays again - I’ve not been disappointed yet! The birthday brownies arrived as promised, and I was kept updated about delivery. The photo and message had been reproduced as requested, and the brownies were delicious! Everyone agreed that they were very good - they certainly went down well. Would definitely recommend.

The cake itself was beautifully decorated
The cake itself was beautifully decorated with a selection of guitars and a personal message. The cake arrived on time and was very securely packaged,
I didn’t taste the cake myself but my son said that it wasn’t quite as ‘chocolatey’ as he had hoped being advertised as a double chocolate chip. He said that it was quite enjoyable but not amazing or anything special. Perhaps I should have ordered the lemon one.

Great Cake
Unicorn and Rainbow Cake. Great birthday cake for my granddaughter's 4th birthday, although I didn't see it, my daughter and granddaughter were very pleased with it. It was easy to order and arrived on time, which, of course, is most important.

This disgrace of a company failed to deliver my cake twice and the worst part now is that they still have not refunded me for it. They claimed 5-7 business days, it’s not been 13 and still no refund. AVOID

We're very sorry for what happened with your order and completely understand your frustration.
When your cake couldn't be delivered, we offered both a replacement and a resend in an effort to put things right. We appreciate that neither option was suitable, so we agreed to a full refund straight away.
As explained in our emails, our Accounts Team processes refunds in weekly batches on Wednesdays. We're very sorry that your refund took longer than originally expected.
As confirmed in our email to you this morning, your refund has now been processed, and we've sent you the refund reference for your records.
Once again, we're sincerely sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience caused, and we appreciate your patience while we resolved this.
Above and Beyond 10 star rating
We placed an order on the 6th June for a Golden Wedding Anniversary cake . The cake was as requested delivered on the 7th July . We had a venue with 24 people booked family and friends from the 9th to the 12th July. Unfortunately on checking the cake on delivery we found to have been badly damaged on transit.So telephoned bakerdays Customer Services. We were not holding out much hope but how wrong could we have been. The Advisor firstly suggested that another cake would be sent but quoted the 10th of July .However when we explained that we were leaving on the 9th she immediately set to work and assured us a replacement cake would be with us the next day !!! She was true to her word on the 8th of July our Golden Wedding Anniversary cake arrived !!! If you could rate a company with 10 Gold Stars then baker days would have 10 and more !!

Delicious cake ordered for my Ruby…
Delicious cake ordered for my Ruby wedding anniversary decorated as requested, cake had moved slightly on base but was able to move over again and icing bit broken where it had slid off but easily sorted, down to courier handling.
I have used this company for several years and never disappointed so highly recommend. Cakes are delicious and all my guests on this occasion loved it.

Packaging issues for 1st cake but replacement cake sent
The first cake came and had clearly been dropped or inverted during delivery. Thank goodness I'd ordered 3 days in advance of the big birthday celebration. The only way to contact is email. I emailed and waited. A person did call me to say they were going to redeliver. The cake came the day before the party. Thankfully this time it was fine. However, the packaging isn't sturdy enough. I've ordered from a few cake companies and Bakerdays packaging is woefully inadequate. The outer big box and inner little boxes are good. Inside the actual box the cake comes in, there is only thin cardboard which allows the cake to move easily. This is a design flaw and must be rectified if cakes are going to survive transit across the country. The cake itself was nice. Many people commented on it. Transit needs to be looked at, so do think about how far the cake must travel if you are ordering.
