Item hasn’t turned up after ordering and given a 48hr postage… needed item for a event and still nothing very disappointing shame

Should not advertise things on website as IN STOCK when they are not and are actually coming from warehouse resulting in excessively longer delivery timescales than advertised during purchase.

Delivered quickly by Balfes' driver and van. Delivery driver Ian called 15 mins before delivery. set-up handle bars and pedals on arrival whilst having friendly chat about MTBs. Good price for this great quality Scott Contrail 30 bike.

Previously had a decent ordering service for tyres. However this occasion (via the cycle to work scheme) has been a nightmare. I ordered a bike and accessories - it’s been almost two months and it’s not all been delivered yet. I’ve had to chase constantly by phone to be told that there’s no reason why it couldn’t be dispatched - only to be told that it hadn’t been dispatched and they were unsure why. Initially it was blamed on one of the accessories being out of stock, so I repeatedly asked for the rest to be dispatched without that part. Eventually I was told (after chasing) the bike had a faulty part from Giant, so they had to order a new part which delayed the build. I was not kept informed and the fact I’m still waiting for the accessories is so disappointing. If it wasn’t a cycle to work order I would have cancelled it and ordered somewhere else. I also raised a formal complaint by email and haven’t received a response. It’s been really disappointing from what I hoped to have been a reliable independent shop.

Price was very good, telephone service excellent, only dropped one start because despatch was a bit slow
