Balfe's Bikes Avis 

I ordered 2 pairs of women’s Castelli cycling shorts from Balfes website and was very disappointed. The order was made on 02/09/2026 and apart from an order acknowledgement and the money coming out of my account, I then heard nothing for nearly a week. I must have contacted them about 4 times over the next month to see what was happening. They never contacted me first, I always had to contact them. Every time they responded telling me the delay was with their supplier, but why advertise the product if you cannot get it and also the customer should be kept informed without them having to contact the company first. At least when I got thoroughly fed up and asked for the order to be cancelled, they actioned this and refunded me quickly. I would not use this company again.

Great comms. Staff were very friendly and pleasant and excellent at explaining bike to work schemes, ordering, building bike, how the bike is set up etc etc And during fitting and trial of bike the staff were patient, professional, knowledgeable and helpful

Very helpful assistants, bike collection was a smooth process. Lost 1 star as they didn’t make sure I was completely able to fold and unfold the bike correctly, so it took me an evening and a neighbour to work out what I was doing wrong!

The staff are knowledgeable and helpful but the two items I bought were both in the warehouse, so my visit was considerably longer than it needed.

Ordered three bikes online for myself, my wife and our daughter. Initially discovered Balfe's purely as the price couldn't be beaten. However, neither can the service.

Received the initial two bikes swiftly and they were very well packaged. They'd been set-up perfectly, with only the usual pedals to fit and handlebars to straighten. Top marks.

Still awaiting the final bike as it had to be ordered from the supplier. I've made some phone calls regarding it, and each one has been taken in a professional, courteous and helpful manner by all the advisors.

Keep doing what you're doing, Balfe's. You're now our go-to for anything bike related. 5*

Excellent respond & delivering

I took in my bike for repair at the end of June - it was not fixed until the end of September, after a third visit.

Difficult to communicate with, with phones and emails often going unanswered.

On the plus side, the staff I dealt with in person were all very friendly.

Very happy with the purchase from their shop, however there was a small issue with the bike which wasn’t there fault therefore was resolved straight away. So I can’t recommend enough the whole team because they are doing great job and not surprised every time I go there is very busy. Will definitely come back in future.

The staff are so knowledgeable and polite at all times. Great customer service which is becoming rare in Broken Britain.

I enjoyed a great experience at Balfe's Bikes Sutton. Kieron was a font of knowledge as I went about choosing my new road bike, which brand, model and all the accessories I would need. The rest of the team were equally welcoming and helpful.
Being in my mid 50s there was no judgement on my choice of flat pedals v clipless. Kieron's insight and experience helped me no end to get the best bike that worked for my needs. Now I have had the bike for a couple of weeks I can tell you I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend and great to support local bike shops as this is where I will go back for servicing etc.
