Not a great experience
Shoes have to be taken off before going into the changing room. But no space to take them off so people pile up in the entrance area. Cover teachers for the kids swimming were so disinterested in making it enjoyable for the kids that my daughter came out crying five minutes in. My 8 year old son had to get changed by himself in the men’s changing room which seems inappropriate as it was being used by adult men at the same time and I (female) wasn’t allowed to accompany him.

We’re also truly sorry to hear that the swimming session didn’t meet your expectations. Ensuring that the kids have a positive and enjoyable experience is very important to us, and we'll review the staff's approach to make sure they are engaging with the children properly.
Regarding your son's changing experience, we completely understand how inappropriate and uncomfortable that situation must have been, and we will look into how we can make the changing areas more family-friendly to avoid such situations in the future. We are changing a lot of our changing facilities to changing villages where you can accompany your child regardless of their gender.

I have used this swimming pool for…
I have used this swimming pool for years and I absolutely love it! The facilities are always clean, especially with the no shoe zone policy!
Lane set up is managed well. I have recently branched out into the gym! I was surprised with the vast amount of equipment. I booked for an induction and was shown how to use the equipment which helped with my confidence! Highly recommend this centre. Staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Great centre with extremely helpful staff
I came in today and throughly enjoyed my experience! The gym was clean, tidy and always visibly staffed, I stupidly got a little lost and a very friendly lifeguard ushered me to where I was needing to go. 10/10, great location, great staff and very reasonably priced!

Amazing guy on reception had a tricky…
Amazing guy on reception had a tricky customer, was so professional and dealt with a towel well!! Really bigger things going on the world.
First gym session was on Saturday I really enjoyed the new clean fantastic resourced space.

Highbury leisure centre
The gym at Highbury leisure centre is easy to use and also a nice setting with a good mix of people, there is a lot of equipment to use and good changing room/shower facilities. My only complain is people not putting away equipment properly or wiping down equipment HOWEVER that is no fault of the centre and I do see staff trying to rectify these issues throughout my sessions there. The pools are good to use but not the cleanest.

Highbury Fields needs Better care
It does the job but the female changing rooms are dirty and smelly, usually full of kids. The gym equipment is grotty and doesn’t look like it gets cleaned.

Wrote a review months ago saying the concept 2 gym equipment in that gym needs new Batterys in skier and rowing equipment this has not been done but a reply saying it will be this was months ago cheap easy to get sort out Batterys so people can see data on the equipment I feel this is down to poor management and human laziness. Another lazy excuse reply said in first to reviews it's the rower and concept 2 skier needs new Batterys it's not my job to gym staff to sort it out equipment should be checked next reply I hope good news it's fixed sorted out that's good customer services common practice 🤔

I am sorry this issue has not been resolved since you first complained about the Skier and Rower. I have now escalated this issue to the centre manager so they can get this problem resolved in a timely manner.

Highbury branch doesn't have a contact telephone number, the app is not functioning well. The teenager's timetable to use the gym is extremely super limited which has to be Saturdays & Thursdays only, not enough choices, sorry!

Please be informed that all activities are managed directly at each leisure facility. I will ensure that your feedback and concerns are brought to the attention of the centre manager. The manager will then review the Junior timetable to explore the possibility of adding more sessions.
