I have recently became a member of Sleaford. The conditions of the facilities are clean and spacious. Trying to book onto the aqua classes is quite challenging. The system goes live at 22:00 ever... Voir plus

Expensive membership for a poor experience
Staff at the leisure centre are very helpful. However, a month's membership is almost £40 for access to a small, poorly equipped gym. This is over double what you might pay at The Gym or Puregym. You also have to pay an extortionate joining fee (at least £20 depending on your start date) and have to cancel at least 20 days before your next renewal, or they will take another payment. The app itself is also unreliable and is difficult to use, especially when compared to the puregym app.
Avoid if possible.

Lesson was great, I can see how hard the lady works to get my kids as great as they can be, also another lady came over and talked with me explaining how it was going and was very positive about my kids

A comprehensive set-up in he gym and the spa.
We were briefed on the Gym and Membership options thoroughly (a nice young lady). Very pleased with the set-up and facilities experienced on our first visit. I think we will become regulars.

I'm very much a newcomer to the gym scene at the age of nearly 73. Jack explained everything clearly and a few days later he gave me an efficient induction to the machines I would use.

It was so difficult to navigate the…
It was so difficult to navigate the website to book swimming lessons at my local centre. in the end I telephoned my local centre but was unknowingly put through to a national call centre. If this is the case put a national number. The customer service assistant, although genuinely extremely helpful, had such a broad accent that I had to keep asking them to repeat what they'd said. i did try to do it at the leisure centre itself but I felt like I was being a pain as every minute I had to call a member of staff over. I have now booked onto lessons but I think I have an account for messages etc but I haven't managed to locate it yet. Weekend staff had no idea about lessons and referred me to the website or a swimming instructor. Website needs a step by step guide or flow chart. It has taken me great determination and a lot of time to finally get there. I find the whole app and booking system for everything very off putting and a deterrent to participation

Glad I joined
The staff are very approachable and helpful. I turned up without having booked an induction but was accommodated and shown around quickly but thoroughly. My actual induction was excellent and I feel confident and comfortable walking into the gym or pool and using all the equipment well and safely. The only criticism I can make is that the pool isn't always managed well when people turn up without making a booking, which ruins the experience for everyone else.

Swimming lesson feedback
Liked: The instructor (Lisa) was really good; friendly, supportive and knowledgeable.
Disliked: Too many people for the pool space allocated. We could not all practice at same time so had to spend some of the time waiting which was frustrating.

Couldn’t be happier
I joined a little over a week ago after putting it off for years because in my mind gyms were somewhere already fit people came to and I was worried about being judged. I shouldn’t have worried. The staff, every single one I have encountered so far, has been friendly and helpful and are welcoming to all.
The facilities are clean and varied and the pool is great. There’s a real mix of ages and abilities here and I feel right at home.
I’ve been coming 3-5 days a week depending on my shifts for a gym session followed by a swim and my gym membership is probably the best use of money I could possibly spend.
