Don’t buy flowers at BJ’s
I purchased a mum flower. I took excellent care of it, but it failed to bloom. The leaves look healthy. But the flowers just died before they bloomed. I tried to return it to the store or exchange it. I was told no refunds on flowers yet they had no sign stating that. Spoke with the manager and basically he said no so for a $5.99 flower he would not even make a customer happy by replacing it with a new flower.
Worst online customer support ever
They have the worst online customer service I ever encountered. After 6 months I received a lawn mower with a damaged part that I couldn't use it and I am still waiting for the replacement to arrive

Both IAN and PETER in the produce section went into the back area and brought out bulk carrots and bagged kale for me. They were very helpful, smiled easily and were great representatives of customer service.
Also, SHANDANA in customer service has always been extremely friendly and helpful.
My experience with the quality of employees at BJ's Falls Church has been very favorable.
BJs Travel is the Worst
Very difficult to get the agent on the phone. They work out of their homes and have varying hours. No follow up of the travel arrangements by the agent. I booked a family trip for 4 people as a cruise in Europe which cost north of $18k! This was an upgraded trip by me including Haven room on the Norwegian ship. Incorrect flights and dates were booked for our flights to Europe and the agent had no idea until I showed her. This resulted in a lot of headaches getting the correct flights. Additionally, when they offer free flights for the second passenger, the flight times are horrendous, and you don't get nonstop flights, even though they are available. The perks BJs offers for the cruise seem good, but then you have to scrutinize your reservation to make sure that they are actually included on your reservation. This was the 3rd trip I've booked with them. There always seems to be an issue, but this last trip this past May 2023 was the worst travel agent experience. BTW, BJs uses a third party to do their travel. I'll never use them again. Save years on your life and use a different travel agent.

Have been a member of BJs for the last 6 years. Over that time, the service has gone down hill. The Fort Lauderdale store used to have 4 or 5 humans running the cash register, then they put in self service and cut down on the cashier.
At first self service was a split between cash and credit, but after a while they stoped fixing the broken cash side and only excepted charges on all check out lanes.
Now if your lucky they have 2 cashier and self service credit self service.when BJ had 4 or 5 cashier it was never fast getting out but it was bearable. Now it’s a slow death every time I go. Between the long lines and the people with 2 carts full of food, one person can take 15 minutes. I try never to go there and only for a big load of water.

I shop at BJ's both on-line and inside the club. Their app is easy to use and they offer great coupons. The quality of merchandise is excellent, including fresh produce and meat. I've found that many of the Berkley & Jensen store brand items are an excellent product at good savings vs. brand names. If you use curbside pickup they're quick and professional. I really appreciate the sale at good prices of both propane and gasoline.

Bad mattresses sale!!!
My wife went to BJ's on 8/12/23 to look at mattresses. She found a queen mattress for 199.00. When she got to the register to pay for it the cashier said it was 699.00. My wife told her it was in the bay for 199.00. There were no tags for 699.00 over at the mattresses. The store would not honor there price. When they put the mattress back on the floor the associate put the mattress back in the 199.00 slot. Again my wife loaded the mattress on a cart and proceeded to the cashier. My wife got the store manager and walked her back to where the mattresses were to show her. The manager still would not honor there price. The associate again put the mattress back up in the 199.00 slot a third time. I am pissed with how my wife was treated and demand corporate do something about this situation. Store # 151. I Bought Tires online.. I received a Call the day of the scheduled Installation and at first they were trying to reschedule.. Then I was asked what kind of car it was for Because even tho I had given that info it wasn't in the ticket.. Well the tech says these aren't the correct tires.. I said they are the tires that go on my car. Then I was informed they will not Install Tires on aftermarket rims!?!?? So after a little back and forth I'm told I can come in and "Try" to get a refund. Little did I know the "Try" was for real.. Went to tire center first in person and I'm told I can't help you have to go to Customer service.. So Customer service I go.. The first Woman is nice enough and just doesn't have the Authority or know how to give refund.. So eventually maybe 15 min later the manager comes over and says something about a glitch in the system and she can't give me a refund.. So after a little banter I ask"What should I do then, Just leave and y'all keep my 800$" She informs me I should go sit in my car and call Customer service.. I thought I was at a customer service..I ask for the number and then I'm told "Oh, I don't know the number" like huh.. It's in the back of your card and shes done dealing with me.. So I go in car the number is NOT on back of cars by the way.. So I Google it and call.. I'm told It's not BJ's it's my bank.. All the while I'm messaging with my bank the whole time and their telling me it's BJ's holding the money.. I'm told I'm ok ying and there's no way I'm Communicating with them both at the same time. So I ask for a supervisor and I'm met with the same jargin all low level customer service people say. The super has the same resources I have and will come to the same conclusion. I say ok cool can I speak to them Anyway and The guy hangs up.. I call back immediately ask for supervisor and I believe I may have gotten to one, who really knows.. I'm told I need to wait 3-5 business days and then they may have a resolution.. It's a Friday I ordered and set up the work on a Wednesday.. so They 3-5 would be the Next week probably ending n another Friday to wait 2 more days to Maybe get my money back.. Arguing insues and it's going nowhere so I sat good day and hang up.I was told By my bank they would cancel the purchase and mark as fraud so the funds would be immediately available.. I still needed Tires as the ones in the car were all completely work out.. The BJ's tire tech was Terrible, The Manager at customer service was rude and unhelpfull, Their call in customer service are Foreign speaking but wouldn't be an issue but they are super hard to understand..Mind you I had a receipt and Proof the money was withdrawn from my bank.. I went To Discount Tire and they gave me the Same tires I wanted price matched and money off because of the headache with BJs.. I would usually be at BJs every other Day but I have not been back since and I don't think I'll be Renewing my membership.

BJ's should get out of the fruits and vegetables buisness
BJ's non-perishable goods and packed/sealed perishables like cheeses, juices, etc. are fine. However, many fresh fruit and vegetable items are not. I recently purchased a bag of tangerines and one of blueberries from their Port Orange store. The tangerines were mostly rotten and had to be disposed of and ½ of the blueberries were spoiled.
My visit was worth the trip !
I was searching for a Smart TV for months. I found a sample floor model at BJs in Maple shade NJ. It was a busy 4th of July holiday crowd.

and Karen took time out to help me on my purchase of a floor sample TV. Both went above and beyond to assist me in getting the LG- TV I really wanted, and even searched for and found the assesories. My experience at this location was great!! It was worth the trip. I love my Smart TV 4K purchase for the guest room. Thank you again Doug!!

She showed me all the cool things I could do in the app that made my shopping easier and less time consuming. I really like the new features she showed me. She took the time for me to understand how to use it and I am truly thankful
TOO MUCH FINE PRINT
Every time I think I'm going to get a deal at BJ's it turns out I didn't read the fine print. I don't like the coupons you have to either cut out or download. I don't like the scale where you check out. You can't move a large object to the cart to get it out of the way. It tells you to put it back. One of our items didn't scan properly and it took 2 people counting the items 3 times to figure out what was missing. We put our $172 worth of groceries on 2 different credit cards and couldn't get the 50 cents off per gallon of gas because you had to spend $150 on ONE transaction. Sam's Club is a much better store. No fine print. What you see is what you get.
Unreliable Employee
Went here several times last week. Jose in the Deli had the NERVE to ask me for money. Since when does an EMPLOYEE ASK A CUSTOMER for money? So where is my money I lent YOU JOSE ?
Complete lack of customer regard.
I bought a 9 piece patio set online. Within an hour of delivery I began to put it together and found a couple chairs and the table to be damaged. The frame was so bent that it could not even be assembled. I immediately called customer service and filed a report with the agent and sent pictures as requested. I was told that the matter would be forwarded to another department who would review that matter and I would receive a call back within 3 days. After 3 days, no call. I called back and was told that my issue would be forwarded to a manager and I would get a response shortly. Two more days went by and the same thing. I called back again and advised that the issue would again be expedited to a manager and I would receive a response. I asked to speak to someone and was advised that there is no possible way to speak to anyone and I would have to wait. I do not understand how long it takes to review photos of a visibly damaged set and formulate a decision on how to rectify the matter. An advertisement to join BJ's popped up on Facebook, so I commented of my dissatisfaction with the company. A BJ's member responded and requested that I send my order number and customer number to them in a private message. I did so and received another reply that they were looking in to it and I would receive a response back immediately. Well, again no response!. I cannot believe the complete lack of customer service from this company! I now have a $1200 charge on my credit card for an unusable set. My next step is contacting the better business bureau and credit card company.
