Instructions not at all clear
7th April - Having spoken to Boomerang recently I am happy to say that we have come to an agreement with which I am very pleased. It turns out that the paperwork that was provided with the carnet, which caused all of my issues, was provided by default by The London Chamber of Commerce. I have addressed them directly with my previous comments and await their response…..
Sorry to Boomerang.
Speed of processing was extremely good, so no complaints there. The main issue that I had was the clarity of the instructions on how to finish the carnet off and how to use it. I understand that these instructions come from the London Chamber of Commerce, so I am taking this up with them. Why, oh why, can't these things be written in plain English!!? Even the people that issue them don't fully understand them and nor do the border authorities.
Available 24/7 for guidance would appear to be not quite true. I called spoke to an agent who was to call me back with further advice. I received no such call and was told when I did speak to him on my return to the UK that, "he didn't call me back because he could not find an answer to my question".
Having spoken to Boomerang recently I am happy to say that we have come to an agreement with which I am very pleased. The paperwork that was provided with the carnet, which caused all of my issues, was provided by The London Chamber of Commerce and not Boomerang
