Getting hearing aids for the first time is a little daunting, an admittance that age is creeping on. The audiologist, Umeeka, made it a positive experience. She is patient, kind and efficient and seems to really love her job. The gradual use of the aids has gone very well. And I can notice a huge difference in my hearing, particularly in the clarity of sounds. I feel reassured that I can book an appointment anytime if needed. All in all a great experience.

I have needed a hearing aid for some time. I decided to give boots a try and the service has been outstanding from start to finish. I was seen by Umeeka and she is fabulous and made the process feel easy. From the testing to the actual fitting of the hearing aid. I tried inbetween to use their email ..again and again….this page is unavailable.

Gave up in disgust …

The explanation given after the examination was very informative and I was allowed to test the hearing aids in crowded area to feel the difference.

Possibly the best example of appalling service I have ever witnessed. 80 year father booked a consultation abc hearing test. This was thorough and time spent “
Selling “ the aids recommended . These duly arrived on time after a 2 week wait and were collected and paid for - all sorted in 40 minutes . My father was £3500 lighter with hearing aids that kept delivering feedback when worn and reverberation when speaking . Was nearly hit by a car as he couldn’t hear it and so called to say they weren’t working correctly - he was offered a 15 minute “service “
Appt 3 days later. He attended with a list of problems he hoped could be resolved by setting the aids up again and tweaking the settings . Instead after going through the problems he was experiencing was met with “
Do you want a refund ?” My fathers response was “ well yes, if you can’t improve them” and in less than 4 minutes was leaving after no attempt was made to offer any kind of improvement to them ! A highly technical product that the manufacturers guidelines suggest need individual attention to set up correctly .
Why bother selling them if you’re not going to bother trying to help . I’d be interested to know if it was my fathers age that you discriminated against or simply wanted the commission on the sale ? Either way - you should be ashamed !

So over 24 hours after responding to Boots hearing care teams response - I’ve still heard nothing . Clearly their desire to get in touch is just to look good on reviews - buyers beware !
