From a Hearing Test to Hearing Aids.

I made an appoinment with the Audiologist at the Windsor Branch for a Hearing Test as i thought my hearing was not as good as it used to be.
Haleema, the Audiologist was absolutely brilliant, making sure that i was comfortable with the process, fully explained my results & explained that i would hear a lot better with the use of Hearing Aids.
From that day onwards, i have not looked back, from a re-test, to buying the hearing aids, the adjustments over a period of six months to ensure that everything was spot on & working properly.
My hearing aids are brilliant & my hearing is brilliant now as well.
Haleema has been fantastic right through the process, professional, friendly, helpful & 100% Customer Care focused, questions & queries, easily solved.
I know that I made the right decision & I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Haleema & the team at Boots in Windsor.

The initial service was very good and…

The initial service was very good and the audiologist was friendly and thorough. Based on this, I decided to purchase the top-of-the-range hearing aid, expecting a noticeable improvement.

Unfortunately, the device has not helped with hearing speech at close range, which was one of my main concerns. I have had several adjustments and updates and a receiver replaced. I contacted the practice by email within the 90-day return period to raise these issues and ask for adjustments or advice. However, I received no response at the time, later being told the audiologist was off sick.

By the time contact was eventually made, I was informed that I was now outside the 90-day return window. This was frustrating, as I had clearly tried to raise the problem within the allowed period.

Overall, while the initial experience was positive, the lack of timely communication and the outcome with such an expensive, top-of-the-range product has been disappointing.
It’s difficult to get an appointment at my local branch which means travelling for adjustments Monday to Friday.

Another cancelled appointment

My elderly Mother has had her long awaited appointment cancelled again. She has been without working hearing aids for a few weeks and was looking forward to finally getting them fixed tomorrow. Living alone and without being able to hear, isn't much fun for her. Very disappointed.

would like to make a formal complaint…

would like to make a formal complaint regarding my recent experience at your Windsor Boots Opticians store.

On my visit, a staff member named Sharon tried to sell me lenses for £299 and frames for £50. However, when I visited your Reading Boots branch for the same lenses, I was quoted a significantly lower price for identical products. This inconsistency in pricing is very concerning and feels misleading.

Additionally, my interaction with Sharon was quite uncomfortable. On a previous visit, I was five minutes late for my appointment, and she told me she couldn’t see me — even though other staff said they could accommodate me. She also appeared very pushy and determined to make a sale, despite my explaining that I am a disabled customer and that my prescriptions are free. I felt pressured and disrespected during the whole encounter.

I am very disappointed with this experience and would appreciate if this issue could be investigated. I would also like reassurance that staff receive proper training regarding accessibility, customer respect, and fair pricing.

Please confirm that this complaint has been received and let me know what actions will be taken.

Haleema is A*

I have experienced profound hearing loss that is not age related which has caused many personal challenges.

Haleema was extremely knowledgeable and explained a lot with medical information that no one has before.

During my appointment, I was listened to and felt no pressure to buy. Her kind, empathic nature is extremely reassuring and for the first time, I am excited to receive my hearing aids.

As much as I don’t like wearing them I now know I had choices which I feel is best for me and my personal well being.
For the first time in 17 hrs I am actually looking forward to collecting my hearing aids in a few days time.
