Bournes Moves - Removals, Storage & Shipping Avis 960

Moving to Italy - my family and I made the leap from the UK to Italy three years ago. We kept our belongings in storage and had them delivered this year. There's always a concern that things may go missing, get damaged or mouldy. None of this was the case.

Being re-united with our belongings after such a time was a little emotional, time passes, things change in an instant in life. So there were memories. They guys who delivered everything were happy, smiling, helpful and considerate.

From Bournes in the UK to their Italian colleagues the whole experience was exceptional. There were a couple of inevitable challenges, that were dealt with professionally and with clarity and diligence.

We are indebted to Bournes for handling everything so well. I cannot imagine how they might have improved their service. Finding companies who are so thoroughly reliable is not easy.

I would and shall recommend Bournes as the very best I could find.

We moved from a 5 bed house to a 6 bed house and I was dreading the removals but Bournes were incredible. They honestly couldn't have been better. Very smiley and so helpful. They did the move over 4 days with a weekend in between. No breakages. No cabinet keys lost etc. Emptied our entire loft in no time at all - it was full! A really lovely team. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. They were very good value for money - I got a few quotes and they were very competitive. So pleased I booked them.

Bournes responded quickly to our enquiry. A knowledgeable,polite and friendly person came at an appointed time to answer questions and provide a quote, which seemed competitive, plus no other company that actually responded visited the property. Communications were good throughout and the removal team were friendly and efficient.

The team at Bournes made our move as easy and smooth as it could possibly be. Regular communication from the office and then the removals guys exceeded our expectations in every way. They arrived on time and packed all our things extremely securely; stored them for a couple of months and then delivered them back with extreme efficiency. Nothing was damaged and not a scratch or mark on any of the walls of our new home, despite many, many boxes and lots of heavy furniture! We have no hesitation in recommending Bournes to anyone moving home and/or requiring storage.

The removal team were extremely punctual and polite. After my belongings had been packed, ready to be shipped to Barbados, I was shocked that I had to pay for weeks of storage waiting for a shipping date. It took 13 weeks for my door to door service. I have used other shipping companies in the past, when delivery has only taken 6 weeks, therefore avoiding expensive storage charges. When my belongings arrived, I was extremely disappointed with the amount of unnecessary packing paper used, this wasted valuable space, therefore meant that some of my belongings could not fit in the container. I found the experience very lengthy and after paying a lot of unforseen expenses, far too costly. I would not recommend Bourne and I will not use them again.

Somehow got my personal details when i put my house up for sale, now won't stop sending marketing material i neither want nor asked for.

The absolute worst customer service. I had a call scheduled with them to discuss my move, Andy Greaves totally ghosted me. I reached out to him and he said he had a hard stop, then why were you scheduled to talk to me? Then I receive a message after being asked to fill out all my info, only to be told they were full. I got in touch with someone else at the company, then they told me I could ship and they had availability. The poor guy Andy in sales, the worst person to be working in customer service and sales. The guy needs to adjust his attitude and learn to reach out to someone, that’s your job. I don’t care if you have a hard stop (which was his excuse), reach out to the person you’re working with and reschedule appropriately. What a terrible person to have representing your company.

From the first phone call through to the end delivery Bournes were amazing. Julia was thorough and so helpful, whilst both teams that removed us and delivered to our new home were not just professional but really nice guys. Took the stress out of a stressful time and would highly recommend.
