Brilliant communication and made the whole process a lot smoother

Recently divorced and Jayne Shorrock was my solicitor who represented me throughout. Jayne was incredible in supporting and guiding me through various processes, always giving me the bigger picture with options, especially when it came to non compliance and delays from the other party. Jayne never once judged when I found the legal process emotional and frustrating, she was always professional and kept me focussed. Terrible solicitor DO NOT USE!!!!!
We were forced to use this solicitor by our mortgage broker, it was terrible from start to finish, Anne Murray was who we had and she was terrible Bad contact, won't explain anything, list of excuses, very slow, only responds last thing on a Friday and cost us over £3000 more than need to be spent, avoid at all costs.
I would advise anyone and everyone to avoid, especially Anne Murray!!

This is the first time I've ever sold and bought, and when picking a firm for conveyancing, i was told many recommendations but choosing one firm that you want to be efficient,trustworthy and professional with how I anxiously felt was always a worry. However this was never the case with Solicitor Rachel Newsome and her PA- Leah (Cleckheaton branch). From the beginning you have been very efficient, professional, always one step ahead (it felt like) which was amazing (coming from a very organised person!) And can tell how experienced you both are. So yes, thankyou for making my dreams come true on buying my next home and would highly recommend.

Just made my Will at Brearleys Cleckheaton office with Nike Hardy. She was fantastic in making me feel welcome and comfortable throughout the whole procedure which was new to me.
Free 2hr car parking is a minute walk away from the office which is a bonus. I would definitely recommend this office and the services of Nike. Thank you!

I called them for a quote on the purchase of a property. I had a long wait before i got through. After geting through the person on the other side came across as rather abrupt and rude. They didn't leave a good initial impression. Left it there as if they are like this before hiring then shudder to think what they would be like once hired.

In my personal experience, this company raised serious concerns regarding the handling of my personal data, particularly in relation to GDPR requirements. Throughout my interactions, I did not feel confident that my information was being managed securely or professionally.
When I questioned how my data had been used, the explanations I received did not reassure me. In my view, the responses lacked clarity and did not address the key issues I had raised. This left me uncertain whether proper data-handling procedures were being followed.
A particularly troubling part of my experience was receiving documents that appeared to contain another person’s sensitive personal information. To me, this felt like a potential breach of confidentiality and raised further doubts about the company’s internal controls and overall GDPR awareness.
When I attempted to escalate my concerns, I did not feel that the matter was taken seriously. From my perspective, the company did not accept liability for what had happened, nor did I feel they acknowledged the impact the situation had on my trust or peace of mind. The communication I received left me feeling unsupported and frustrated.
Based on my personal experience, I left feeling extremely uneasy about the company’s approach to data protection, accountability, and customer care. I would encourage others to carefully consider whether they are comfortable with the organisation’s standards of professionalism and GDPR compliance.

As far as I'm aware this just may be par for the course with all commercial solicitors but -

Information that was already made apparent to me was regurgitated back.

It was fairly obvious from early on they organise their practice just to juice AS MUCH money out of you as possible (for which you are required to deposit around £700) of in order to START recieivng their supposedly professional advice.

I gave them a second chance by trying a different solicitor under the same firm for a DIFFERENT matter, and he didn't even reply back to my email response after a 20 minute phone conversation (in which that was part of our agreed plan proceeding forward).

They are glorified document stampers and I would strongly warn against ANYONE having any expectations of them being good for anything other than exactly that.

Oh and don't be surprised if they spend a lot of time "out of the office on holiday".

Jessica Fry did the conveyancing for our recent sale and purchase. We had fabulous service and fantastic experience. Jessica kept us informed through the whole process on a regular basis and we couldn’t have asked for anymore. We dealt with Kath Ogden for our sale and purchase and our experience was made so easy, she has been amazing from beginning to end, made the process run really smoothly and was great at keeping us updated. The lady on reception was so welcoming every time we went in to sign our paperwork too.

My review is based on my dealings with Andrew Jinks and his team, their response times and manner.
Divorce can be very difficult, bitter and of some duration and so after 25 years I with the support of Andrew brought final closure by realising my interest in the family home. They were always helpful and understanding that though time had past there were still very difficult emotional ties for me
