we were recommended this solicitor. All was OK, until I spoke to giovanna for the first time for an update. Her tone was rude and patronising. Told me it takes 2 days to answer emails. I found her very difficult to speak too due to her manner. Within a few weeks, she eventually told myself and my brother she didn't want to speak to us, only my son. Enquiries took almost a week to deal with. At one point, a restriction was found, which took 4 days to come back, but was for the wrong house!
The whole process took nearly 6 months, for which we did most of the research. The toll it took on my health was difficult.

Wouldn't recommend this company, and definitely not the solicitor.

Used Brearleys for our recent move for the second time in 3 years. Both moves were slightly complex and Lorraine Hoyle was so helpful on both occasions and I would recommend her.

I used Stacey for my conveyancing needs,but mainly engaged with some called Kirsty.
They were definitely not acting in my best interests and when I raised my concerns I was told they couldn't see any problems.
An absolute waste of time and money especially as the potential vendor was a liar.

I have used Brearleys solicitors and my family and friends have been using Brearleys solicitors for years, they communicate well and are very professional I transferred from another solicitor to sort out my divorce years ago and have continued to use them. Lots of family and friends use also and are very happy.

Having used this solicitors a few times I can highly recommend them , they are very efficient and caring .

Just completed a house sale through Brearleys Cleckheaton and I can’t recommend the conveyancing team enough. I transferred to them as I wasn’t happy with the solicitors my estate agent recommended & I’m so pleased I did. Rachel was just fantastic & her team (thank you to Leah) provided us with such an excellent service from start to finish, easy & stress free keeping us informed throughout. Shifted from one conveyancer to another. Not kept informed of the process. My case started in September 2023 and is still ongoing in April 2024 and I am now at risk of losing my mortgage offer. Terrible service and not easy to make a complaint against.

Appalling, disinterested, short, rude, couldn't get off the phone quick enough, what a poor experience, could not recommend this company

Carolyn Halsworth of Brearleys might be the most blunt and rude person to ever pick up a phone to. Will never do business with this firm again. She has a terrible attitude

I had the pleasure of working with Brearley Solicitors for the purchase of my first home, and I must say they exceeded my expectations. Chloe, Emma, and the entire team were exceptionally professional and provided prompt responses every step of the way. I called on Monday 12th February, gave the details of my enquiry and was told that the best person to advise me would call back the following day. It’s Friday 16th and I’ve had no response. Disappointing.

Unbelievably impressed by the service we have had!

Even before appointing them to do the conveyance, we had excellent (free) advice - provided immediately after our request.

Since starting the buying process, the service is even better, quite amazing. As an instance I emailed some documents in on a Sunday morning and received confirmation within minutes that they were acceptable.

So pleased we chose Brearley Law, thoroughly recommended.

Had family law Emma was brilliant and she clearly knows her stuff. Would highly recommend Bradley's solicitors all the staff are very nice and helpful.

Jayne was my solicitor and Jill her secretary and both were professional, communicative and considerate throughout.
Jayne was easy to contact and on the few occasions she wasn't available, Jill was able to either give me be the info I needed or to advise when Jayne would next be available to speak with me.

My divorce case was very stressful but the support and advice provided made it that little bit easier. The end result was fair and that's largely down to the high standard of work conducted by Jayne.

I found my experience with Brearleys extremely long, I waited a long time for responses to my emails at times, and communication wasn’t great from start to finish. I know this was probably not all down to them as the other parties solicitors were also slow at responding but for what was a chain free sale I felt more could of been done to chase and quicken the process. I personally would not use them again.

James Shingleton​ was the solicitor for the administration of my late uncle's estate. James was easy to talk to, he responded quickly and he was always helpful. I feel very fortunate to have had the benefit of James's experience and friendly approach during this difficult time.

Brearley’s were efficient, responsive, and polite in dealing with my recent conveyancing and previously in handling my will. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

I contacted these about some money a guy owed me from a job I was working on, at first Hayley seemed nice but that’s where it ended, I was told my fees would be about around £7k but I ended up paying nearly £12k, in the 12 months I dealt with Hayley she never knows made a phone call to myself! Even at the start middle or end, I never got any evidence of why I had to pay certain amounts, all I got was ‘ I’ve had to do a lot of work ‘ if they didn’t get the money I was harassed with many emails. When we went to trail my barrister got Covid the night before so my new barrister had 12 hours to review my large case and present it in court!! Remember how much fees I have paid NEARLY £12k!!! My new barrister told me the case went well and she was confident I wouldn’t lose, same with my solicitor. For some reason I the case didn’t go my way!! Still I have never had a phone call from my barrister or solicitor!! My solicitor then tries making out being £26k out of pocket all together isn’t that bad through an email! I have never dealt with a business as unprofessional as them in my life. There was a time at Christmas where I paid them £2,400 and I thought that was the last amounts I had to pay because it went to nearly £9k, 6 weeks later with no mention or notice she’s wanted £3k extra!! Through no fault of my own!!
Hayley and this solicitors don’t care about you as a person all they are bothered about is how much money they can make!! If I had the strength I would take them to court but I don’t. I feel truly let down. I have all the proof of the above incase anyone wants to contact me.
