Britelite Home Improvements has been fitting quality home improvement products in Kent, Sussex, Essex, Surrey and London for over 50 years! Britelite started with John Baxter and Arthur Clacy in the showroom/offices in Lower Stone Street in Maidstone, with two teams of fitters and two administrators. Now, in 2025, we have our Head Office in Parkwood Trading Estate, Maidstone which also houses one of our conservatory show centres. We have over 40 teams of fitters and over 60 staff members, all of whom are committed to the task of making your installation run smoothly.

Absolutely first class company, to be honest this was 2nd quote, tried another company first, they beat first quote hands down, agread price, installation agread, widows fitted in timely manner

You’ve lost a customer
The area sales manager is genuinely a nice person who is very helpful. I cannot fault him at all. The products, when they actually got it all correct, are good.
However, their first installer - who did a sloppy job in places anyway - quit halfway through doing the work. This then wasnt finished until over a week later on a second visit.
Then, some of the work on one of the doors needed redoing because it hadn’t been done properly on a third visit. In addition, one window needed replacing TWICE after the original fitting because of manufacturing defects they clearly didn’t pick up.
The backend staff/company were very quick to chase us for payment despite all of this, and despite us having a terminal illness and then bereavement in the immediate family during the process which we made them aware of. One particular member of staff was borderline rude in that respect. We also had to ask for compensation for their mistakes and delays since they were not forthcoming with anything. It seems customer satisfaction does not feature highly any more.
You can really only judge a company by how they deal with things when they go wrong. In this case, Britelite failed miserably and we will never buy from them again.

The actual workers are excellent
The actual workers are excellent. But promised the world but not delivered. We agreed a set size and price, conservatory was reduced in size but not in price. Also suffered delays.

Quite a few highlights to mention
Quite a few highlights to mention. The first was how nice the planning of my new door was. The guy came up with a design I hadn't thought of. As the door and side panel have been installed for a few weeks now it is working so well for us. The installation went well. There was a problem with a panel. The company resolved this without any fuss. Lastly my contact with the office staff was a pleasure.
