Bunnings Warehouse Avis 

We bought a large order of garden furniture from Bunnings Te Rapa NZ but the order also involved staff at Hamilton South NZ. The staff at both warehouses were so helpful, friendly and all went that extra mile to make sure we got the best service possible. We bought furniture from the Mimosa Rhône range and we are delighted with the quality and look of all the pieces. Thank you!!!

I was outraged at the complete and utter lack of customer service and total lack of interest in me as a person. I struggled with one of the biggest trolleys and was told by one worker that they were difficult to maneuver - too true.
I bought 4× 40 l bags of compost and 1 bag of potting compost and there was never an offer of assistance loading on to the trolley, maneuvering to the check out or loading into the car. The teller was so excruciatingly bored and disinterested she only just managed to get to her feet so she could operate her scanner.
I am never going back to that store and I will never recommend it. If I could leave a rating of zero I would!!!! Just for the record I am a 75 year old female. I am well capable of lifting 40 l bags and probably would have refused assistance but it's the principal that matters.

What made my experience was the amount of products to choose from and the price range was a great bonus too. I can spend a good couple of hours going down every isle because you never know what specials you might come across! I love the different arrange of solar lights and indoor & outdoor plants& gardening tools . Also i love the bunnings dyi suggestions ..
Overall i love everything about Bunnings and recommend this store to anyone looking for low prices, gardening, building, dyi projects, great advice from the staff and lots of low prices and great specials.

Very disappointing experience at Bunnings Mount Wellington. I have been shopping at Bunnings for years and have never felt so disrespected by a staff member.

Steve's behaviour was extremely rude and unprofessional when I simply asked for assistance. For the first time, I genuinely felt I may have been treated differently because of my background, which left me feeling uncomfortable and humiliated.

I cannot say whether it was discrimination, but the experience certainly made me question it. Every customer deserves basic respect and equal treatment. I hope management takes this seriously.

If you are looking to rent a van in Dunedin, do yourself a huge favour and compare the total costs first. We were shocked to be charged nearly $120 for just a 2-hour hire at Bunnings today due to all of their add-on charges (mileage, extra fees, etc.) on top of the base rate.
By comparison, you can hire a van through Mitre 10 (via Cityhop) for a flat $136 for a WHOLE DAY with absolutely zero extra costs because fuel and insurance are completely built-in.
Unless you are driving virtually zero kilometres or booking for multiple days (daily base rate is cheaper but don't know if no extra charges as well), Bunnings’ "cheap" hourly rates are a total trap. Go to Mitre 10 instead for an upfront, honest price and a much more seamless experience.

Outstanding DIY, Garden and Homeware store, they absolutely do not deserve a 1.9 rating on Trustpilot.

They consistently have have the best prices in NZ on a vast range of products, and they get orders out fast.

I have never had any issues with my orders or the customer service.

Nothing went wrong why you got 2 stars i love the bunnings stores even more at the end of the day with no people in the store. i have always been an anxious person and most recently friends and whanau have suggested i take my dog for mental support when i go shopping and this is why bunnings is even getting a review is becaue my dog was so relaxed in your store when i was acting crazy as f*** i was so scared someone would say she was vicious cos shes a big girl and i kept her away from other customers and i was freaking out so bad even when i didnt need to and customers said your dog is beautiful i felt intimidated by my surroundings and noticed my barriers to me being in public and am grateful bunnings allows dogs into their stores because having my dog there allowed me to shop at ease and she directed me to the things i actually needed to buy.

4 ⭐ because 80% of the time Bunnings has what I'm looking for and being allowed to take your dog in is a huge plus. But why I'm leaving a review is because I wanted to rent a carpet cleaner and they have a policy of must deposit $100 plus the rental price to hire and get the $100 back when returning the machine. Do I went to Coles and for the exact same rental price for 2 days and no need for a $100 bond. Bunnings might want to up there game. How many rentals they miss out on because of that policy...

I ordered a pallet of timber, paid S75 for delivery,and was told 3 to 4 days for delivery. Based on that, I placed the order. It’s been a week and the pallet has been sitting in the warehouse in Christchurch. To make matters worse their bloody website wouldn’t let check where the parcel was. I kept getting a 404 page not found error. Finally tried the chat line. What a dam waste of time that was. Whoever was trying to help confirmed it was still in the warehouse, when I asked when it would be shipped, she told me she had no idea. NEVER again does this company get any of my business. Just shocking Bunnings.

I was in the Virginia (Brisbane) store a few days ago wanting to order something at the special orders desk. Only to find there was nobody there. My wife asked a team member nearby if they could assist. He called someone but told us the person was off sick. My wife asked where are all the staff and what happened to customer service? He said a lot of staff have moved to stores closer to where they live and Bunnings are not replacing them. We were then told to go to the service and refund counter at the front of the store where someone would be able to assist. Only to be told the guy was with another customer. After we waited for a good 15 minutes we asked where is he? Long story short, I then said to the three people at the counter “I’m not aiming this at any of you and I’m sorry to say that Bunnings customer service is non existent and I have wasted my time waiting. Told them I’m disgusted and disappointed that Bunnings and Westfarmers have cut staff to the bone and become a profiteering bunch of greedy grubs so the shareholders get more return, meanwhile the customer service is appalling to say the least”. One of the staff behind the counter agreed with me and said they are so understaffed and busy it’s hard to satisfy everyone. I then said, it’s not your fault, it’s the greedy grubby company you work for that have made poor decisions. I then said, sorry for my rant, have a great day and walked out totally dissatisfied.

Moral of the story, it’s the customers who bring the business to the company. That’s their main source of income. The less customer service, the more disappointed the customers are. Corporate greed has taken over! Bunnings have become too big for their boots and put profit before customers. I will never set foot in their Virginia store ever again. I would rather put my money back into my local Mitre 10 store

DONT use the click and collect online ordering system. Bunnings will randomly cancel your order but still hold your funds in a pending state for two weeks. Customer service completely dismissed my concerns and seem to think this is totally fine.

Rishika, from Bunnings Mt Wellington, explained me the process of replacing a defective item. She made the process smooth and prompt. Great customer service

Bunnings Hotwater replacement is terrible steer well clear. They promise same day installation service and it doesn’t eventuate. In our case the wait was 5 days and then on the 5th day they wouldn’t install. Suggest Stick with a local plumber and using Bunnings for hardware like was intended.

Don’t allow overhang on their courtesy trailers.

Yet they sell trailer flags.

Don’t know why they can’t just conform to the law, and why they make their own stupid rules

I went into Bunnings Manukau with some scellerup gumboots and was immediately told that Bunnings doesn’t warranty gumboots!
Luckily for me I knew that Scellerup gumboots had a 12 month warranty!!
I said I wanted to see the manager who after numerous requests to come to the front counter but never turned up!!
It was until I googled warranty for scellerup gumboots that they finally exchanged the split gumboots!
I get the impression that Bunnings trains their staff to find excuses not to honour warranties!!

This is a RAVE review to the staff at Bunnings Mt Roskill. I returned my Ryobi lawnmower which has failed to start. They were so lovely and friendly and helpful. I now have a brand new lawnmower and can't be happier.

I went to the outdoor garden department and the lady had gone for lunch. There was no one who could help me. A man down the back of the department knew nothing about plants, didn't know what a feijoia was. When I went to check out, the self check out was closed. Only one person on the check out. Bunnings seems to be getting worse each time I go. Mitre 10 service beats them hands down.
