My 2nd delivery of turf from this company and once again I'm very happy with the quality of turf ( very green and lush now) and also the communication and delivery throughout....Excellent service thank you.

Decent turf quality and prompt delivery from Buy Turf. Communication was fine and the driver was helpful. However, I feel the price could be more competitive compared to other sites. While the grass seems to be settling well, it’s not a standout experience overall. Would consider alternative options next time.

Excellent service and quality - I needed a small amount of turf to finish a project and Buy Turf offered just what I needed - next day service and no minimum order quantity. They even put a couple of extra turfs on the pallet which enabled me to repair another area of lawn. Highly recommended!

The turf bought was of a top quality grade and we ordered 25 sq metres. All of the turf was in excellent order and each roll had sufficient depth so that none broke away.
The delivery was on time, the drop off easy and the person polite and professional. Would order again.

Don’t buy turf from this company unless you like brown patches, mushrooms and terrible after sales service

Ordered turf for delivery on a Thursday. Arrived 3pm. As discussed with the lady I called at Buyturf before I made the purchase, it was to be laid the following day. She raised no objections to this plan.

The landscaper started laying the turfs the following day and said that turfs from one of the pallets had browned ends but the turf from the other pallet was fine. Clearly a quality control issue. His advice was to lay it and then give it a week, with adequate early morning watering, to see if it would recover. The landscaper said he thought the problem was caused by cutting the turf to thinly at the ends so there is not enough soil to support the grass and that is why the grass at one end of each roll had died.

The turf was laid on a Friday and the terms and conditions said “The Company require any complaint to be made in writing by the customer within a reasonable time after collection or delivery”. These were the T&Cs downloaded by myself as advised on their website. As it was a bank holiday weekend there would have been no point in raising this issue until after the bank holiday, which I duly did when the turf did not recover despite following the guidelines regarding caring for the new turf. The company’s response was dismissive and uncaring. Firstly they told me we should have laid the turf on Thursday evening and not left it on the pallet overnight, which is ridiculous. How do they expect the landscaper to lay the turf well into the hours of darkness. They also said that if I had told them my intentions to lay it the following day they would have told me to lay it on the same day. This is incorrect as I made my intentions clear to the lady I spoke to and she raised absolutely no objections to my plan. I have asked them on more than one occasion if they record telephone calls so I can prove this and they have not responded to this.

Secondly, they referred me to the T&Cs on their website which stated that they should be notified within 24 hours of any problems with the turf and if they were not they would accept no responsibility with any issues with their product. However, on the Ts&Cs which I downloaded it said to allow a reasonable time before raising any issues with them, so they have two sets of T&Cs which are significantly different.

Thirdly they have ignored the fact that one pallet the quality was fine the other was not and they were both treated in exactly the same way. How can one pallet be fine and the other not? This is clearly a fault with the product and they are refuting this and effectively calling me a liar.

To add insult to injury they offered to SELL me some seed for us to make our own repairs to the lawn.

I have, at my own expense, replaced the brown patches with fresh turf, but despite following all the guidelines regarding watering and care, a couple of new brown patches have appeared in new areas which we are re-seeding. In addition, the new lawn has sprouted lots of small mushrooms. Whilst this isn't necessarily bad for the lawn, it detracts from the lush green lawn I was expecting.

The fact that one pallet of turf didn't suffer in this way, despite being treated in exactly the same way bears this out. No one has explained how 2 pallets of turf cut at the same time could show such differences in quality.

I have contacted Buyturf asking how to leave a review – the response was “If you wish to leave a dishonest review, I will leave you to work out how.” Typical of their uncaring attitude.

All in all my experience with this company was nothing short of appalling, the quality of turf and subsequent issues have left me with a very bad feeling and considerable distress. We have paid a lot of money and expect a lovely green lawn but we have a lawn with many brown patches and mushrooms and to top it all my dealings with the customer service have left me feeling as if they do not care at all.

Never bought turf online before so
we was apprehensive how it would look. How wrong was I we, we was updated all the way though, and was it easy to lay. It came a few days later , 3 weeks later on it looks so good, full and lush , just waiting on a first cut.

Great Turf, value for money, delivered as promised and it has grown a treat and makes the garden look great 👍

I have never bought turf or laid it before but went with this company and I wasn’t disappointed! The turf was delivered on a pallet and I spent a couple of days laying it with my friend in my garden. We had no idea what we were doing but it is now all laid and looks great. I paid a few pennies extra for the premium one and I’m glad I did. Highly recommend this co and product.

We're so pleased, the turf was great quality and went down so easily with the topsoil I also purchased from buyturf. I looked at a lot of different companies before purchasing, and could have paid slightly less on other websites, but glad I went with buyturf in the end. The quality of the soil was brilliant. When reading reviews for other companies people had said there was all sorts in the soil including glass and large rocks, but there were none at all in the 2 bulk bags I purchased from buyturf, only small stones that were fine to lay the turf on top of. 3 weeks on and my grass looks amazing, has settled in well and growing perfectly.

The turf was delivered right on time and the driver very cooperative . The turf went down really well . I contacted Rodney with one very minor worry i had and he put my mind at rest , and now a few weeks later the new turf is looking brilliant , putting the existing lawn to shame
