Carbonite backups are seamless
Carbonite backups are seamless. No noticeable performance issues while it is backing up. Restoring individual files very easy. If you get a new PC and have to restore EVERYTHING (because the old PC is no longer working in order to copy onto a USB drivve and then restore to the new PC), just be patient. It takes a long time. Run a LAN cable to your router before starting the restore. Your PC probably has a 1 Gb NIC which will be faster than WIFI for the full restores, even if you have 1 Gb WIFI.

It’s wonderful
It’s wonderful! A few years ago my computer died. I would have lost all of my genealogy information but I had Carbonite so the local store recovered everything. I wouldn’t ever be without it. They are the best!!!

I Love Caronite
I have had Carbonite for years at home and at the office. I can be rest assured all my files are protected and if something happens to my computer they are retrievable.

Good customer service but still costly for Srs and Nonprofits.
I think your assistants did the best that they could, however the company should do better with pricing for Sr Citizens, Veterans, and Non-Profits. Most of my files on both my computers are used to support NON PROFIT organizations. I pay for it, and it is rather expensive on a fixed retirement budget.

Good to have but less of a value than it used to be.
I appreciate the service because all files (not programs) are backed up. But downloading takes forever and the back up is only once a month when it used to be daily. This makes my subscription less of a value.

Carbonite is designed to back up changes automatically in the background, so if you're only seeing monthly activity there may be a configuration issue.
