Valuable and up to date information!
I used Carsoup to find a new SUV and was surprised at how easy this site was to navigate. It saved me lots of time not having to check out dozens of individual dealership websites.

Friendly, easy, helpful
I knew my information need would be strange, as I was looking for unusual things. I got all that I needed right away. The site is very friendly, not complicated at all, and you can go as far as you wish for information and services. Also not overly cluttered with excessive advertising. I hope you will not change the site. It is great the way it is, with much value. Thank you

We also appreciate knowing about your experience with vehicle sellers, however, since CarSoup.com doesn't manage the sellers or the content of the listings we cannot take credit for those experiences on our Trustpilot profile. Kludgy - but sometimes helpful
Overall, I felt that the site over directs me. I was looking for a $2500 car for my son, and the site really wasn't that helpful. Then we looked for cars by mileage. Pages of cars with zero miles on them. Really? Seriously? I won't even bother looking at a 15 year old car that claims to have zero miles. Overall it was difficult to find cars, and responses are varied. I wanted to go shopping for cars on Saturday, but only dealerships were an option because nobody answers their personal car ad. This was a waste of time for me. I went to a local dealer and found a car that was perfect in about an hour after spending hours trying to find other cars. The helpful part was that we did get to see some cars we wanted, just after someone else bought them.
The categories start at either $2,500 or $5,000. When you are looking for a high mileage car for a student, this is a wide margin. The levels should be &1,000 2,000, 3,000, $4,000 and & $5,000. The check availability was Very slow. One seller called me 5 days later. We should be able to rate sellers.

The content of vehicle listings and responses are controlled by the sellers of the vehicles, but if errors are brought to our attention we really appreciate knowing so we can reach out to the specific seller to correct the issues. If you add multiple search filters at once it should narrow the results to only vehicles that match the necessary criteria (which would eliminate some of the vehicles that don't meet your needs). For example, we created a sample search with some of the criteria you mentioned and it narrows the search results to only vehicles $2500 or less and by adding a mileage filter it also eliminates the results with zero miles - http://www.carsoup.com/for-sale/used/Sedan/?invtypeid=2&bodystyletypeid=1&maxprice=2500&maxmileage=150000&radius=50&dosort=mileage%7Casc. You can adjust the price to the different increments you listed by using the advanced search feature, which also allows you to specify all your needs up front before you start seeing results http://www.carsoup.com/AdvancedSearch.aspx. There are ratings on dealership's pages which are collected from various 3rd party sources across the web, but you are correct that there is not a function to leave a review directly on CarSoup.com. We apologize that some of these features were not easily found when you were conducting your search. it's a good place to start
I've found some good leads on cars there over the years. IT used to be more helpful and let you search by *more* criteria. For some reason it doesn't allow you to search by keyword anymore for any specific criteria they don't let you check off. Traction control doesn't seem to be an option so now if I really want that I have to view each listing that matches my other criteria and hope that the seller put it in the description. (not always the case). A full day of that gives me a headache.

We are glad that you found CarSoup.com to be a good starting point for your vehicle search! We also see that you experienced some frustrations with changes in our search capabilities. Traction control does not appear anymore for a few reasons - 1.) It has been standard on cars since 2012 and even in 2010 was on 88% of vehicles. 2.) Manufacturers have given a more diverse set of names to this feature and it is difficult to index for search (ESC, TCS, ASR, Stabiltrack, Stability Control, TRC, Control etc.). In reference to the text search feature - We removed the text search for a feature because it was not adopted by users. 90+% of users preferred to use drop down menus and recursive filter. There are still feature filters on the right rail of our search page, but we apologize that we did not have all the features that you would have liked to use available.
Worked for me
I utilized Carsoup.com to put me in touch with a car dealer that had in their new car inventory two cars that were of interest to me. I am still in conversations with that dealer. We have not finalized a deal to date, but hope that we can reach agreement on a trade price.
CarSoup was instrumental in making these trade conversations begin. My hats off to CarSoup.com.

was glad to find the site, but as with most vehicle search sites, this site does not let you put in all the criteria in unless there is a vehicle in the system that matches it. I am looking for a very specific kind of vehicle and would like to know when that type and kind comes available. thanks

Good service, problems with identifying non-salvage cars in search
Overall, I think your site is pretty good. There is one area, that if added, would significantly assist the car shopper, particularly for used cars. One question that would be a great addition would be if the car has a good title, meaning one that is not salvage, etc. Many of us do not want to deal with a salvage vehicle, yet we have to scroll thru hundreds of cars to find cars that have a good title. And for sellers that won't add this criteria, then the vehicle should be marked with a bad title or at least some way to exclude those vehicles in the search. Thanks!

Found exact car looking for at a great price
Did search on site..found car make and model looking for both used and new. Did some comparison shopping through site. Contacted seller who responded quickly and drove home today with a new Ford. Very impressive site.
