CRU Kafe Avis 

I'm not ashamed to say I'm a bit of a coffee snob. Having a barista girlfriend has turned me into this.

We were on the lookout for something tasty yet sustainable. This is difficult to find.

Cookies got the best of our instagram ads and lo and behold, Cru appeared.

We ordered the discovery box to get a true taste. This consisted of 10 x 6 different coffees. I'd like to add a note here that £20 for 60 nespresso pods is AMAZING.

Granted, there were a couple of types that weren't our thing. But we have found four solid flavours for ourselves. I cannot go a day without the "Espresso", the OH loves "Dark Roast".

We eventually decided to walk away from Cru for a couple of months due to wanting to experience other coffees but we've found our way back.

This time we've subscribed to ensure we never go a morning or afternoon without this wonderful coffee again.

Recommendations: the "espresso", Minor Figures oat milk, ice and a dash of Monin caramel syrup. It is heaven in a glass.

P.s the staff are great too. Each of us have exchanged emails with Tom and Adele.

Quick delivery and great coffee!

I went for the discovery box so I could try as many different coffees as possible. Love the flavour of each coffee - it also works perfectly with my Nespresso machine.

Used Cru a while now but I've gave up.
There's something about the capsule that doesn't agree with my krups nespresso machine to the point where I'm wasting around 25% of the product.
Some capsules taste brilliant. Some are weak to the point where a double espresso is still pretty poor.
I thought it was my machine but starbucks etc. I haven't had a single issue with.

Brilliant company but the product needs improving just that little bit.

Watery and flavourless cup of coffee. The first one out of the box didn’t work properly Mx it shot a big shot of water and then finally punctured and started the cup. Won’t purchase again and sad I have two boxes to use up.

Undrinkable - Weak and watery. I am not a particularly fussy coffee drinker so I normally buy whatever pods are on offer at the supermarket. These are the first pods I have ever bought which were undrinkable. I tried to give them away to my work colleagues but nobody could stomach them. All six packets ended up in the bin.
To be fair to the company when I told them about this they sent me out another 6 boxes free of charge. Unfortunately these were just as bad so ended up in the bin as well.

I buy beans so no "pod problems". The Organic Honduran is as good as any coffee I've tasted. It's that bit different (I don't have the fancy words to describe it) and I'll get some more of it. I've just had a cup!

Purchased 5 boxes cpl.weeks ago for our office, probably get about 3 or 4 pods out of each bpx that actually work properly in my Nespresso Magix machine, seems they are not piercing properly and we just get drips?? So we gave up on them and went back to Waitrose own brand and Nespresso brand that never fail. Shame as the taste was great for the pods that did work . NB we have two different Nespresso machines in our house, the pods didn't work in either! So it's definitely not the machine!

I inherited a Nespresso machine when my workplace moved location in April 2018. A year ago, I wouldn't have been very excited—but CRU changed that.

I never liked the idea of Nespresso because of how much waste is generated by the pods. Combining a solution to that problem with delicious tasting coffee (dark roast, you da real MVP), combined with a decommissioned Nespresso machine, has secured me as a CRU Kafe customer for life.

If you're hesitating, just try it.

Brilliant coffee - brilliant service. List with Ocado pls!

First the good point. The capsules are very easy to fit into a Nespresso machine and are easily pierced, unlike most of the other brands.

However, the taste is weak and watery, even with a small cup. Though I purchased the capsules from Amazon with free delivery, they aren't much cheaper than buying direct from Nespresso. Won't be buying them again.

Honest, ethical and delicious I want to have cru kafe all over my face and in my mouth. You guys rule xxx

I bought a Starter Pack for my Nespresso machine made by Alessi. They do not work, unless I pierce holes manually and force them into the pod holder.
Now I have tried them in a new Nespresso machine made by Krups. They do not fit and cannot be modified to work.
It is totally dishonest to claim that they are Nespresso compatible when they are not.

Excellent ordering process and customer service. My coffee arrived quickly and beautifully presented in a box however the taste is disappointing. Many had described it as just as good or even better than the original Nespresso pods however I found the quality not as good and the strength not on par with Nespresso. Although I ordered the taster pack for trial it will now just sit unused amongst the other compatibles in my cupboard!

Glad they went foil capped. Smells and tastes great vs some alternatives.

I made my first order with CRU Kafe after hearing about them in a newspaper (FT) and noticing that the order would be as expensive as other retailers (Sainsbury's, M&S). Very happy with the quality of the coffee and with the delivery. Looking forward to their fully compostable pods.

Was searching for organic coffees and found it first time with Crd. Great Coffee and super fast delivery.
