I am absolutely appalled by our experience with Diamond Heaven.

My fiancé ordered and paid for a 2 carat diamond ring from this company. After having the ring independently checked elsewhere, we were told that the diamond we actually received is 1.5 carats – NOT the 2 carats that was ordered and paid for.

This is an enormous difference when you are spending this amount of money on an engagement ring.

What makes the situation even worse is the way it has been handled since we discovered the issue. Diamond Heaven have still not rectified the situation, and we do not feel they are treating the seriousness of what has happened with anything like the urgency it deserves.

This wasn’t just another purchase. This was our engagement ring. We have also spent thousands of pounds on professional photography with the wrong ring, believing the entire time that we had received the diamond we had paid for. Those photographs and that moment cannot simply be recreated, yet we feel there has been very little concern about the impact this has had on us.

We have since become aware of other people reporting concerns about receiving diamonds smaller than they believed they had purchased, which makes our experience even more worrying.

If you have bought a diamond from Diamond Heaven, I strongly recommend having it independently checked and comparing the result against your invoice/order and diamond certificate. Make sure you have actually received what you paid for.

We are now taking this matter further and intend to report our experience and evidence to Trading Standards and the National Association of Jewellers.

We gave this company our trust and spent a significant amount of money with them for one of the most important purchases of our lives. To discover that the diamond we received has been assessed as 1.5ct when we ordered and paid for 2ct, followed by what we consider an inadequate response to the situation, is completely unacceptable.

Diamond Heaven, we expect this to be taken seriously and resolved properly.

Esther was amazing and took the time to show my partner all the ring and stone options she was interested in with great patience and knowledge… there were a lot!! We settled on a design and four weeks later the ring was ready for collection. My partner was over the moon with the ring and said it was even better than she expected… she hasn’t stopped looking at it since we got home so she has bumped into a couple of walls and tripped over the dog but she couldn’t be happier!

Daniel was very friendly, polite and professional. He took the time to discuss our exact requirements and then got my wife her perfect ring. Daniel kept us fully updated on the progress of the ring. Very satisfied and would highly recommend Daniel and Diamond Heaven, Southampton

I ordered diamond earrings online, so my review is really for the ONLINE/WEB experience AND returns process. Mine was a quick, online purchase, and a quick return for me, the earrings were much smaller than i expected. It took 1 day for me to return (at my expense), on their Website, look at Returns, it states 8-10 days after checks. Turns out it takes several days to acknowledge the return, up to 5 days to check, a further 10 working days to process the return AND a further 5 days before the money lands in your account. Total up to 30 actual days (incl. weekends) before you get your money back!! Coupled with a largely slow and unwieldy email only response, I have found the returns claim and process to be a gross misrepresentation and a punitive experience for the Customer. Money is tied up for so long gleaning interest for Diamond Heaven, completely unnecessary and poorly detailed. BEWARE of this.

Gene S who helped me was absolutely brilliant — he was so patient, friendly and knowledgeable, and made the whole experience feel really special rather than rushed or pressured. He listened to exactly what I was looking for and was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process.
