Decided to purchase my wedding ring from Diamond Heaven in Hatton Garden as I’d previously had a great experience with their Glasgow store.
We were not disappointed, Esther contacted me following my enquiry and we decided to do a viewing via a video link.
Esther was fantastic and showed me several designs similar to what I originally thought I would end up with..
I was wrong - ended up buying the ring that Esther had modelled for me. Absolutely love my choice and thank Esther for a great recommendation & fabulous customer service.

I can’t believe all these positive reviews when you have to make an appointment to enter, all the display rings are fake and when you do choose a style you like it’s 8-9 weeks delivery. They aren’t cheaper than the high street, there’s no prices on display and the rings on the website are not an accurate representation of what you actually get. The picture of a 1ct ring on the website had a price next to it that actually was for a 0.3ct ring when you got in store then they try and up-sell you the ring you thought you were viewing at 3x the price

Edit. I provided you the date I went & my phone number, it was 3pm In Cardiff. Not sure how you can’t find it, had numerous emails confirming it. I even asked at one point is there anything in the store available to buy today, the manager said no. She offered to get one sent down from Glasgow in a week if I wanted to try it on but we wanted something that day. I just think you should make it clear that customers won’t be getting a ring that day unless extremely lucky that one hasn’t been picked up or returned by someone else.

I’d been coming in to look at engagement rings for nearly a year. My plans changed several times but Deborah was exceptionally patient, supportive and extremely helpful in giving me good honest advice that suited my situation. I finally found the perfect ring and had a truly exceptional experience. The quality of the ring was even better than I’d imagined. Delighted.

I would strongly advise anyone who has purchased a diamond from Diamond Heaven to have their stone independently checked and, where applicable, verify the laser inscription against the certificate and specifications they were given.

I purchased what I understood to be a 2.00ct princess-cut engagement diamond with VS2 clarity from Diamond Heaven. I subsequently took my ring to another jeweller, who examined the centre stone and located its laser inscription. The inscription relates to a GIA-certified 1.50ct SI2 diamond.

This is obviously a very significant difference from what I understood I had purchased, both in carat weight and clarity.

What concerns me even more is that, after discovering this, I found public accounts from other Diamond Heaven customers alleging discrepancies involving the diamonds or grades they believed they had purchased.

I am now taking the matter through the appropriate channels and have retained my purchase documentation and evidence relating to the diamond in my ring.

I am posting this review to describe my own experience and to encourage other customers to check their jewellery. If you purchased a certified diamond, particularly an engagement ring, consider having it independently examined and check that any laser inscription on the diamond corresponds with the certificate and specifications provided with your purchase.

An engagement ring is one of the most important and expensive purchases many people will make. Customers should be able to have complete confidence that the diamond in their ring corresponds with what they ordered and paid for.

My fiancée and I could not recommend the Diamond Heaven more. It was important to us as a same sex couple that we felt comfortable and welcomed when ring shopping, which was not the case in other ring shops we went to. By chance we got Grace in our first appointment and she was incredible. She somehow managed to remain professional whilst treating us like old friends. Both my partner and I bought our rings from here and the whole process was very smooth. Thank you Grace and everyone at the Diamond Heaven for making our experience so perfect!

PLEASE GET YOUR DIAMOND CHECKED IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED FROM DIAMOND HEAVEN

I am absolutely appalled by our experience with Diamond Heaven.

My fiancé ordered and paid for a 2 carat diamond ring from this company. After having the ring independently checked elsewhere, we were told that the diamond we actually received is 1.5 carats – NOT the 2 carats that was ordered and paid for.

This is an enormous difference when you are spending this amount of money on an engagement ring.

What makes the situation even worse is the way it has been handled since we discovered the issue. Diamond Heaven have still not rectified the situation, and we do not feel they are treating the seriousness of what has happened with anything like the urgency it deserves.

This wasn’t just another purchase. This was our engagement ring. We have also spent thousands of pounds on professional photography with the wrong ring, believing the entire time that we had received the diamond we had paid for. Those photographs and that moment cannot simply be recreated, yet we feel there has been very little concern about the impact this has had on us.

We have since become aware of other people reporting concerns about receiving diamonds smaller than they believed they had purchased, which makes our experience even more worrying.

If you have bought a diamond from Diamond Heaven, I strongly recommend having it independently checked and comparing the result against your invoice/order and diamond certificate. Make sure you have actually received what you paid for.

We are now taking this matter further and intend to report our experience and evidence to Trading Standards and the National Association of Jewellers.

We gave this company our trust and spent a significant amount of money with them for one of the most important purchases of our lives. To discover that the diamond we received has been assessed as 1.5ct when we ordered and paid for 2ct, followed by what we consider an inadequate response to the situation, is completely unacceptable.

Diamond Heaven, we expect this to be taken seriously and resolved properly.
