Careless
I had a surfboard delivered by this company.
No notification of when it was going to be dropped off. They literally dump it at my front, i could hear the bang from the opposite side of the house. It was just gonna be left there unattended. Depiste having stickers saying fragile and top load, the was big bend and a hole on the box. They dinged the board.
Do not use this service they are careless.
Driver left packages on the street.
Driver left packages on the nature strip. On a busy road. In front of a closed driveway gate. Packages were of course immediately stolen. DF customer service advised "tough, we dont accept liability even for gross negligence".

The customer service I was given was disgraceful. Rude and condescending people you have in the customer service department. Training is definitely needed and I hope the phone call was recorded.
Unprofessional Courier Service
Worked from home on the day of delivery. Apartment buzzer did not even ring and I received an SMS and email notification saying they tried to deliver but I wasn't home, which was utter nonsense.
Rude customer service
Rasha Alfanham was very rude and unhelpful on the phone. Didn't believe me about my package not being delivered. Found out later on that my package was delivered to Victoria instead of New South Wales.
Arrived fairly quick
The email said the delivery could arrive as late as the 28th. The next email provided tracking and the delivery was made on the 20th. Just leaving this review as there are a ton of bad ones and not everybody is having bad experiences with this company. The only negative thing at all happening was a crappy plastic cosmetic cover on the center point of a chrome office chair base was cracked but it seemed like a decoration rather than anything useful or functional anyway so I wasn't bothered by it, could have happened during actual shipping. The items were really well packaged and arrived within an acceptable time frame.
I wonder where my parcel is!
I am still waiting for my parcel some 10 days after Direct Freight received it. They stated it would be delivered on the 12th, then when it wasn't I called and they claimed the truck broke down and it would be delivered that evening. Fast forward to today (16th), they finally put it on a truck and once more, the parcel is undelivered. I called and was given the same excuse. Mind you I even have an authority to leave and full unhindered access to the property. It's a complete joke.
Lazy rude delivery
Delivery driver refused to help me with parcel which was a heavy concrete top table .
I told him I had a flat trolley and if he could help me lift and wheel parcel it my front door as I was unable to budge the parcel. He replied, no I cannot help you and walked out of foyer area.
Technically , was not delivered to my door , dumped at entry of foyer .

i would love to give zero star!!! I have ordered the item on the 15th of Nov, the worst courier business i have ever seen. It's been two months and still have not got my parcel!!! they have texted me and promise to get it delivery on the 23rd or 24th of DEC, my parcel is still at the depot on the 1st of dec!!!! and again they texted me again saying they will delivery on the 8th of Jan 2026, still not there!!?? Not happy at all, the parcel cost me over $1900.00
Delivery was consistently stuffed up
Ordered a delivery from Big W. I was advised it was onboard for delivery. A couple of hours late the notification said Not Delivered. I called their number and they told me the driver could not find the address as the address was wrong. They read what they had and it was correct. I then rescheduled the delivery for the next day with more details and giving them authority to leave. Got the onboard notification again, and then next time i checked it said Not Delivered - even though someone was home to receive it. No notifications about the Not Delivered status, i had to find this myself. I called them again and the driver had marked that the address did not exist. The CSR then looked it up on Google maps and obviously found it. She asked if i often have problems with deliveries to my apartment complex and i told her never. Then i asked if it could be directed today to my workplace, which is 10 mins down the road from their depot as she said the driver was still out on the road. The answer was no as it is more than 10km away from my home address! Then they could not tell me when the package would arrive back at the depot for me to pick up. I gave up and just said I'd pick it up from the depot which will have to be Monday as it is Friday and they do not deliver on weekends. What a f'n drama. I will be advising Big W they should change providers, especially as Direct Freights ratings are so low and i am not the only one to be stuffed around by them!

Shit lazy delivery driver

I am emailing your business today to complain about the disappointing service one of your delivery drivers just provided!
I live on a hill and I’m aware my drive way is a little steep!
This doesn’t stop anyone else from walking up the drive way to my front door and leaving my parcels in a safe place!!
Your driver today left my package down by the road verge in the sun were anybody could simply just take it and I would be screwed over and ripped off cause you think this is acceptable!!
It’s disgusting and shit effort!
That’s just lazy and disrespectful to your customers!
I am lucky I was home to see this, otherwise Christmas gifts would be ruined or stolen!!

8 days late and parcel battered.
My shipment (4l of boat paint) stalled in the Sydney Warehouse. I called (25 minute wait) and was told someone would get back to me 24-48 hrs. Nobody did. Shipment arrived 8 days late in Melbourne all beaten and buckled. I'm surprised the can didn;t burst.
Watch out for the hidden fee's and arrogant managers
Watch out for the hidden fee's... We had a API Key setup to their system, estimate cost to ship an item from their API was $70, they dont show destination surcharge on the API seteup, but sure we will wear that $180, but it didnt stop there, we were charge $380 to ship one box to Northern Territory. When i questioned the amount my account manager got her back up and started getting angry at me!
I literally could have gotten a cheaper retrun flight and delivered the parcel in person!!!
What a circus....
They started with 6 boxes, freighted them multiple times between Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gympie repeatedly for 2 weeks, delivered 5 boxes and basically told us to sort out the missing box with the sender. An absolute circus.
Fast Service!
My event supplies have been delivered by Direct Freight many times. The service has consistently been fast and reliable, often arriving overnight. It’s genuinely appreciated, especially given how unreliable many courier networks in Australia can be. Thank you for the excellent service!

Rude customer service. Called just now, some lady that name starts with an A. I forgot. 8th of december 2025 at around 5 25.
Answers the phone in a pissed manner. And almost tried to raise her voice when i fail to give her the consignment number first. Sounds like she wanna go home. Just dont make her come to work in the first place.
Rude and unprofessional driver
Rude and unprofessional driver who just dropped car tyres. Before I went out he had already unloaded two tyres in the front verandah. I requested him to keep the tyres in the garage. He unloaded the other two in the garage but refused to move the first two kept in the front verandah. He was rude and argumentative and said it’s not his duty and he is only supposed to keep them outside the house. I have videos captured via door bell camera to substantiate my claim which also shows his arrogant attitude. I’m hold to their customer service for 20 minutes but no response.

Pickup in Melbourne on 17th delivery to Adelaide was 19th yet still no delivery.trying to find order omg what a nightmare from calls on hold 67 mins to email not replied to to finaly order found delivered after 9 days .I will always as any company I buy from now if they use direct freight I will not do bissness with themyou get 1-10
