4 of the same item coming from the same place and somehow they lose 1. Nor did they call or email to let me know the delivery wouldn't be made by the scheduled date.

Received tracking all along the way from Melbourne to Bega via Sydney which took only 3 business days. The service was a lot cheaper and faster than Aust Post. It is good to have a carrier serving so... Voir plus

Do not use

Not a great experience, item bought in Victoria delivering to qld west of brisbane picked up on the 18th nov for delivery by 21st going by what direct freight tells me on their website. Website says they scan it every step of the way, 20th comes and no updates on the scan, call at 545pm and find out it hasn't been picked up because the company i bought from hasnt given it to direct freight apparently so I contact company I bought from and they said it has been given to them and they just probably didnt scan it and are just saying it wasnt collected. 6am on the 21st it scans in brisbane. 445 comes around and not delivered so I call again and they say if its travelling interstate they dont scan it and if its not scanned in the city you live in its not getting delivered. When queried why their website says they scan every stop of they way but if its going interstate it doesnt get scanned isn't that going against what they advertise i was then hung up on. Its now the 24th and the package has actually gotten further away and is now 2hrs North of brisbane and I live west of brisbane. Looks like im not getting my item any time soon

We use Direct Freight Express in our business to send orders to our customers, and to me its really fast, reliable and good.

Yes the customer service could be improved, but this is logitics, its never that easy to keep everyone informed all the time.

they often keep their expected delivery days for long deliverys to Perth, yes sometimes it 1 day extra. But hey Sydny to Perth, 1 day extra - must be expected

Once again my heart sank when I saw…

Once again my heart sank when I saw this company was being used to deliver - they don’t communicate, deflect and the customer service was abysmal no solutions no support just procedures read over and over again. I suggest that you work with your partners and get communication sorted - this is not good enough.

My parcel was delivered when I was told it would be, the driver from Stanthorpe Parcel Service subby to Direct Freight was very pleasant and we had a good chat. Funny thing was that I was reading all the negative reviews thinking about am I going to get my parcel on time when it showed up.I live 23kms from town so I have no complaints about direct Freight

What a disaster

What a disaster - My shipment was firstly delayed by a day, then today it gets loaded onto the incorrect truck for delivery! really poor services and management of my shipment!!

Ordered 4 rims and tyres it got sent as…

Ordered 4 rims and tyres it got sent as one order and not to be separated but no not this courier company only 1 rim and tyre turned up and others have gone somewhere else. The delivery driver was just a smartass said not his problem and the rest will turn up when ever no signature no nothing. Rang the company they didn't know and then send 3 were misplaced and should turn up tomorrow. This is the second time I have been stuffed around by this company and they don't even inform you of delivery they will.dump and run. Horrible company don't use them don't recommend them it's service like this we don't need and our property mishandled and split up because they don't know what they are doing. No apology or anything but they take the money fast.

Direct Freight Express are useless and unprofessional

I’ve wasted a day waiting for my delivery which Delivery Freight Express said was scheduled for delivery today. It’s now 8:30 pm on Friday night with no delivery and there has still been no update. Do I now have to wait at home this weekend?

When I called DFE’s 1300 number this evening, they looked it up but then fobbed it off by denying the delivery was even in their system - even though the THEIR reference number and delivery date is on THEIR “Tracker” on THEIR website. Why would any company post their ref number and delivery date for an order that is not in their system? It’s obvious BS101.

Naturally, DFE are doing nothing to address the problem. In short, I agree 100% with the mountains of negative feedback from others on TrustPilot. In my opinion they have no effective management or system to track their deliveries and, in fact, they have no idea where they are.

Very bad and unprofessional service

Very bad and unprofessional service.
8am in the morning they updated my parcel that will be delivered on the same day at 1.30pm.
At 12.40 they sent me a message said they TRIED to contact me but no one at home to receive the parcel. I received no call, no message. I lived in Apartment and I also received no call from the front gate ??

No notifications update or anything, i had to redeliver to the next day and on their website, they say need to presence between 9 am to 5 pm , let see how they gonna contact me .
Very disappointed with this company

Customer service sounds like she was eating while talking

Rang to sort out my consignment number, it doesn't exist??? Reading other reviews with similar consignment issues, being lost by staff and zero follow is abit concerning and the lack of communication..

I'll check in a couple of days or so to see if that consignment number is in tracking mode...

UNRELIABLE, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL

If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. UNRELIABLE, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL.
The company advertises that you can trust them to get freight "to the right place at the right time". They also advertise live updates and that it is easy to track items. I did not experience either of these. Items were suppose to be delivered yesterday and advertised so in the tracking information. A phone call yesterday said the item was expected to arrive today. I checked the website again this morning and the items have not even left Sydney. I called the company and they could not even notify me where the items were. They are the freight company. They should know. They said that they would "launch and investigation" and that it "would take up to 48hours". I asked them to give me a time a day. They said by close of business Tuesday. Now I am no mathematician but if today is Friday and it is 1030am that is a lot more than 48hours. Extremely dismissive. They could not care less and got angry and said that they had apologised multiple times and asked "what else I wanted them to do". Um, Fix the problem!

No Care / No Responsibility

Unfortunately I failed to ask the supplier who they used as their shipper. If I had and they stated Direct Freight I would have cancelled the order due to past poor service and excessive delays. I called the so called lovely customer service today to be informed it was unusual for my package to take 6 days from their Brisbane depot via Beaudesert to myself in Kooralbyn..Its under 100km so I could have walked it in less time. I was told my package had been handed to a third party contractor "Beaudesert Freight" so it was beyond their control to advise me where it was in relation to being delivered. My suspicion is the 3rd party will not deliver out to me unless they have multiple packages to deliver. So I am still waiting and cannot wait to get my chance to express my opinion of the service first hand.

Very Poor Service – No Contact, Unsafe Deliveries

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Direct Freight Express. On two separate occasions, when no one was home, the delivery drivers simply left my parcels outside the building—in clearly insecure spots—without making any attempt to contact me.

The most recent incident resulted in my package being stolen. When I contacted your support team, I was told it wasn’t the driver’s fault because no signature was required and there were no instructions to deliver to a safe place. This lack of basic responsibility and common sense is unacceptable.

This is not the level of service I expect, especially when compared to Australia Post, which consistently offers excellent customer support. If no one answers the door, they either attempt to call the customer or take the parcel to the nearest post office, ensuring it’s secure and that the recipient will not suffer any loss.

I strongly urge Direct Freight Express to adopt similar protocols and to ensure drivers are trained to contact recipients or leave packages in safe, designated areas—not simply abandon them in unsafe spots.

Good experience with Direct Freight Express

I ordered a 7" reverse camera kit on ebay on 13 June 2025 (NSW based seller). The kit was sent to my address located in rural NW Victoria via Direct Freight Express. The item was processed at their NSW facility and then transferred to their Ballarat Depot for delivery. I received the kit on 18 June 2025. I was a bit worried about Direct Freight Express being involved in the delivery process based on the poor reviews I have read online. However, I experienced no problems at all.

I was expecting a delivery today and…

I was expecting a delivery today and was advised it would be around 3pm. I went out to check my letterbox at 2pm and here where the 3 parcel on the doorstep.
No doorbell rang or text to say delivery had been made.

Great Service, will deliver 10km out of town from Orange

Friendly staff, reliable - stated parcel would be delivered prior to 4pm and was delivered 10km from Orange at 2.45pm. No other courier in Orange delivers to my location. They an sent email indicating delivery today. can not fault them, it is the 2nd time I have got a delivery from them from Victoria in 3 working days. 5*

Useless

Delivered half of my items and said they would return later with the second half. Never turned up. I called at 3:30pm to offer to collect the items myself but the Depo was closed. Closed at 3pm… absolutely ridiculous delivery company… I urge companies to not use them.
