DolarApp Avis 

I have been using my Dolarapp virtual card in Mexico for 3 years. I transfer USD from Schwab to the card and convert it to pesos as needed. I did not have any problems when they switched banks. The few problems that I have had I was able to resolve by chatting with a customer service representative. I get a good exchange rate and transfers are completed within a few days.

Amazing! Great APP, allows you to save money and have benefits such as cashback and earnings for the balance you have in your APP.

Es una app porquería, hice una compra y un comercio anuló la compra por que no me podían proporcionar el servicio. Al escribir a dolarapp sobre cuanto tiempo tardaba el reembolso, me dicen que 30 días HABILES, les preguntó por qué y me dicen que todo es culpa de mastercard, como si uno fuera novato y no usará otras tarjetas. Llevo años usando mastercard y jamás toman tanto tiempo los reembolsos, además de que el soporte es pésimo, lento y tonto. Terrible empresa no lo los volveré a usar.

Do not use this app! This app is pushed heavily on Facebook and Instagram. They also pay influencers to push thier product.

It turns out that the Financial application platform for the dolarapp (Synapse) has declared bankruptcy. That is why people’s money is lost from previous reviews. They sent a notice they were changing banks but in reality it all stems from the Syapse collapse. The bank is not the dolarapps bank. It was the bank synapse was dealing with while they collapsed.

DO NOT USE THIS APP!

I made a transfer 10 days ago (from my US dolarapp to a US bank account). The money has not been received. They cannot provide a proof of transfer (but ask me to trust them when they say the transfer has been made and the problem is in the receiving bank - BoA). After a few days of chasing them (I started messaging support 4 days after transferring, given that they promise 1-3 days transfers), they told me to wait, then finally told me the transfer was made only on day 6 (wonder what they did with the money in the meantime??) and that it should it my bank the same day (it wasn't). When I requested again for proof of transfer (trace ID), they have still not been able to provide it, and claimed it was going to take another 48 hours to get a proof of transfer (which I had already requested 48 hours before). To day, I still don't know where my money is and they claim no responsibility and that I should patiently wait. This app is a scam and I am worried about where they keep / what they do with the money between taking them from you and delivering them to an account (if it even gets delivered at all, it hasn't till today).

Don’t use this app. I have been using it for around 6 months and I have had nothing but issues. Absolutely disgusting treatment.

I can never access my money. They always blame it on other banks and it takes days for you to be able to send the money, and then you have to wait for it to arrive. So expect to have access to your money at some point in the future - which may never come.

Customer Support is disgusting. Generic templates replies - and when you get angry or frustrated they simply complain that you’re being rude… despite them being the ones who made you angry in the first place. They will ignore your messages and end conversations without replying.

Good idea, but execution is awful. Save your time, save your stress. This app will just drive you crazy and you will not have access to your money.

Worst customer experience I have ever had.

As a US expat living in Mexico, I was excited to try out Dolarapp and see if it could really save me money on transferring funds from the US. Initially, I was drawn in by their clever Instagram promotional campaign, which promised a $5 USDC reward for following specific steps.

However, my experience quickly turned frustrating. Despite adhering to all the rules of the promotion, I was denied the reward for reasons that were not stated anywhere in the campaign guidelines. I reached out to customer support several times, hoping for a resolution, but I was met with repeated denials based on made-up rules.

Adding to my dissatisfaction, Dolarapp is not a bank, and since opening my account a month ago, they have already changed the bank that processes transactions from Lineage to Lead. This required me to repeat tedious steps to reset my account. How many times will they be changing the bank institution they use? If you fail to update your account, "any future transfers sent to your previous account may be lost."

This experience has left me with a very negative impression of Dolarapp. If they can't even manage a simple Instagram promotion transparently and fairly, I shudder to think how they would handle more significant issues, such as transferring thousands of USD.

Given this disappointing experience, I have no trust in Dolarapp. I strongly advise others to think twice before using Dolarapp.

They just switched banks for their processing from Lineage Bank to Lead Bank (reason unknown). I don't see the new transfer information on my app and no live customer service support is available. Also, with this new change of banks you are not able to do transfers from Paypal.

Soy cliente Santander México. Y de los buenos sin duda alguna. Mis clientes están en USA y pagan en USD. Pues con Santander estaba perdiendo aprox. 500USD mensuales en el cambio + 500MXP de comisión por transferencia recibida. Un robo total. Con dolarapp se les acabó el robo, mis dólares USDc los mando a Santander desde dolarapp (5 segundos) y no pierdo nada, se aplica el cambio real que hay en el momento de mover el dinero. El servicio de 10! Un 1% de cashback y un 4% de interés (nada especial pero se agradece). Si necesotas prestar dinero, requieres hipoteca o te gustan las tarjetas de crédito pues banca tradicional y a pagar, pagar,..., de lo contrario esto es el futuro. La app sencilla y muy intuitiva. Otro dato: al menos con Santander Online nunca me fue posible saber cuantos dólares me habían enviado ni que cambio me aplicaron. Lo tienen bien escondido.

Espero que dolarapp sobreviva en el tiempo no quiero volver a lo tradicional.

Excellent service. I have never had any trouble in transferring from Wise into my US bank account provided by DolarApp. Likewise, I have never had any trouble transferring from the app into my Colombian savings account.

No es tan recomendable
Tiene un problema ya de reputación en mi país veo que no tiene nit ni información de su presencia legal en colombia, no sé en otros países pero no hay información, el soporte es pésimo y no hay como comunicarse con ellos ni por teléfono o email solo por su chat interno, recomiendo que si vas a mover pequeñas cantidades se puede usar pero grandes cantidades no es viable porque puedes perder tu dinero.
Seguiré probando la pero lo hago a riesgo.

The app is fine, the function and support is terrible, they quit answering support lines if they do not want to solve the issue, or just lock your money with no recourse from you. First I got 60 k limit, then they cut it to 45 k for no reason, so now they have 60k of my money, that will take 2 months to get out if I an lucky and they will not cut my limit again and keep collecting interest on my money. Not regulates as a bank, or a service provider, you are pissing in the wind essentially.

es una estafa, el día de hoy abri una cuenta y le deposite 100 dolares. Pues ahora no puedo entrar a la aplicacion, ya descargue nuevamente la app y me dice que contraseña incorrecta, no me manda mensajes de sms ni de wtahsapp. No la descarguen es una estafa

Any positive review you find on here is just not real because my experience with this firm is something else. At the beginning they’ll make you feel like they’re genuine but they’re not. I was so gullible to have trusted them and I invested with this firm but at the long run I lost everything to this firm. They’re not reliable so stay away from them. My friend told me about Incomè Champiōn and they’ve been doing great and as a matter of fact I have been making good returns with easy payouts.

Estoy usando la tarjeta de DolarAPP como mi cuenta principal hace meses incluso soy usuario Premiun. el dia 11 fui victima de una estafa en Miami en la cual me duplicaron la tarjeta(cos a comun en USA) y me sacaron todo mi dinero. Cual fue la respuesta de soporte?, no te podemos ayudar pq la compra fue con una tarjeta fisica. WHAAAT??? como creen ustedes que funcionan las estafas a tarjetas? conclusiones si la vas a usar ten en cuenta que estas completamente desprotegido a cuaquier estafa.. No es segura

Llevo varios meses usándola y la seguiré usando sin duda alguna.

Estoy gratamente sorprendido por la rapidez en la recepción y pagos.

Espero que se mantenga muchos años en el mercado para empezar a mandar ahorros ahí

La app es buena, sin embargo sé que ha cierto riesgo por que en México la operación de activos virtuales requiere aprobación de la CNBV
