Failures, Incompetence, Terrible Service
Previous small purchases have been fine. So we bought a piece of furniture. A chair. All seemed fine, great communication all week. A promised contact occurred the evening before delivery, giving us a delivery slot.
Sounds great, right? 8.30 on the morning of the delivery day, the courier says they haven't received it from Dunelm.
Dunelm don't know anything. They claim to have dispatched it earlier in the week.
Now, the website says out of stock, and we are hearing nothing from Dunelm. So we chase them up. They still know nothing.
They took the money happilly but are clearly incompetent when it comes to the rest of the process.
So, if the chair finally turns up or not, I doubt I'll ever shop with them again.
Oh, forgot to mention, the chat support on the day gave me a position in the queue of over 130.

It is sometimes difficult to navigate around the aisles, especially when the store is busy. Staff are very helpful and car park is a good size.

I bought a new NHM Garden Birds duvet cover set from the Truro Dunelm for £55. I turned it inside out and washed it as per instructions. I am now very disappointed to see, on hanging it up to dry, it has what appear to be faulty seems. I’ve tried to find an email address so I can send a photo and ask what my options are, as the store is about 40 miles away, but can’t find one, and their contact system is automated in such a way as I can’t ask that question.

I ordered an XL rug
I ordered an XL rug, it was delivered over 2 hrs after the scheduled time by the courier dumping it outside my door and running off before I could get to the door. The rug was ridiculously heavy and I had to get someone else to help to bring it into my doorway.
Also surely the courier should check I am in and not just dump it without speaking to someone.
Very disappointed with Dunelm as I understand that it's not them directly however they have made it impossible to complain as there is no email address shown and I was 62 in queue on live chat.
Will think twice if having to order from them again re anything large.
I ordered 2 kai part assembly armchairs…
I ordered 2 kai part assembly armchairs a couple of weeks ago and only just got around to opening them to assemble them (we needed to get rid of the furniture we were replacing first). We found that both chairs are customer returns - this was obvious because one of them had the bolts in a Waitrose ziplock bag and the other had some Christmas wrapping paper in the bottom of the box. One of them had 2 right arms so completely unassemblable! How Dunelm have managed to sell this chair to two different people who have had to return it is actually beyond belief - surely the previous customer told them why they returned it? And they still sold it to a second customer. Ridiculous to be honest.
My husband is returning them in store as we speak and I have ensured that this won't happen a third time by writing in big letters on the box that it has two right arms and isn't suitable to be sold. Fingers crossed the people in store don't mess us around with the return.

I have ordered a wardrobe which was meant to be delivered on the 14thApr, according to Dunelms app/webstite.
Even though it showed order recieved-processed-shipped- it still today 22Apr not reached destination.
After various attempts via they're customer service n. not a free number, after waiting each time 20-30 mins to speak to someone, just get told that they apologise and where somehow chasing the order with the supplier and currier, same goes emailing Dunelm customerservice, no sign of my order.
Very very disappointing as a service, so please stay away and well clear from buying on line from this company.
Delayed delivery
Would have got a 5star if I had received my blind on the day I was told. I know this has nothing to do with dunelm but it was really annoying being told “your parcel is out for delivery, then it’s been delayed” had this 4 times I even had it redelivered and it still never turned up on the new day
Delivered as promised.
The delivery was on time and the quality of the towels was amazing.
Truly Terrible Customer Service
Dunelm & Evri rival each other for offering truly atrocious levels of customer services.
There appears to be no way of obtaining assistance with an online order, bought in store and submitted by a human, given to Evri to dispatch. Evri will not dispatch to rural areas, such as my home, and advise contacting Dunelm re refunds etc. Contacting Dunelm is a joke. Customers are offered bots which ‘think’ then offer a longer number of options, none of which apply in this case.
Wait times for a human in the end of a phone were 70 & 40 minutes respectively yesterday. My number in the queue for a more advanced ‘live chat’ bot is now 150.
This is shocking,infuriating & not remotely good enough,
Dunelm has my money, paid in good faith for a product that hasn’t arrived and treats me to truly execrable levels of customer service. Truly, a case study in the technological driven horrors of modern life.
Please give me back my money and I promise never to darken your shoddy door again.
And stop playing with Evri

Great app& website, easy to navigate. Previously ordered wallpaper samples then placed my order on the website for the chosen paper. Ordered via click n collect.
Good delivery, smart looking sideboard
The delivery went well. I got a message the night before and on the day I got information about a smaller time window for delivery. It came on the day they said. The sideboard looks smart. There was a discount promotion on it too.

Shame about staff in till area, not very welcoming, not
a greeting no smile, that is why I have dropped a star would have been two but the staff in cafe redeemed my
rating, they are always happy to see you and give great service.
They emailed me admin when my missing item would be delivered!
I have ordered a lot from Dunelm and had a good experience but I would not order made to measure again. One item arrived (which looks nice) the others did not on the 9th, on the 10th I messaged dhl, heard back on the 14th I needed to go to Dunelm, went to Dunelm evening of tues 14th, then on Friday, I received an email to me, not DHL, asking when it was going to be delivered so I responded to Noorjahan who sent the email asking if this was sent to DHL as well and I haven’t heard back. I’m completely fed up of the chasing on an order over 600 pounds. I used blinds2go this year and had no such problems I just liked the fabric offered by Dunelm but they are clearly not a good company when things go wrong!

I was looking for a new suitcases for my holidays, wife & myself were in the Kilmarnock branch looking for curtains, didn't realise Dunelm did suitcases .
I ordered an IT suitcases, great value for money & and excellent product.
