Dunelm Avis 

I bought several bedding items for a small double bed. I was grateful for the choice as it is hard to find items in this size which are 100% cotton. Excellent quality, choice and service. Thank you!

I purchased a Dunelm own-brand roasting tray last year, and the non-stick coating started coming off after only its second use, despite being used at 200°C with a wooden spoon. The packaging clearly states that the non-stick coating has a 5-year guarantee.

I contacted customer service and provided photographs of the fault, only to be told to take the tray to a store because their online team cannot access in-store transaction records.

For a product sold under Dunelm's own brand, I find it disappointing that the company is passing the problem back to the customer rather than taking responsibility for honouring its own guarantee. A 5-year guarantee means little if customers are simply redirected elsewhere when they try to use it.

I expected a proper solution, not another obstacle to overcome.

Ordered by bedding in the morning and was able to pick it up 2 hours later. A fast efficient service.

I have not yet used the mattress cover,merely unpacked it.The quality seems very good.I am pleased with it so far.

Made to measure (or not) - I ordered a pair of curtains online, entering the correct width and drop. Curtains arrived with 80cm of excess material, making them far too wide for the small pole width.
The website does state that measurements are rounded up to the nearest half width of fabric and will be made with a x2 fullness.

However, there is nothing to specify that they don’t then trim off the excess before sewing the edges to produce curtains that meet the measurements submitted. Also there is nothing that highlights the fact that the fullness ends up being x2.6 and the fabric will be so bulky that they don’t draw back properly and block out loads of light!

Contacted customer services who can’t see a problem with the fact they have supplied curtains 80cm too wide, which don’t fit and are not fit for purpose, when the whole point of using ‘made to measure’ is that you get the correct size you ordered. I have sent a second complaint requesting a refund - awaiting a response with a resolution.

What can i say 1st class all round,easy to use website with lots of choice ,items to suit all budgets, fast delivery, with all items packaged well , ordered lots of breakables including a large mirror, all packaged with care and arrived in one piece,which is rare nowadays. 😊.

Ordered some made to measure Roman blinds which should have come with a 20% discount, but at checkout it didn't allow the discount code. Next the delivery with DHL. Asked them to leave in the garage, but ended up outside neighbours front door...50 yards away and it rained! Finally the fixings on the blinds are a nightmare. So difficult to attach the blind. The blinds themselves were fine. From other reviews, I am not expecting any response back from Dunelm

The mugs I brought were so cute, just right for children's party gifts, unfortunately one of the mugs was broken when they arrived. The box was clearly marked fragile but arrived torn and had obviously been bashed about.

Visited London Road, Maidstone store on 15 October. All staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Sandie, who sorted out my query efficiently and successfully. The two lamps I bought are exactly what I wanted. Thank you, especially Sandie.

I wasn't able to do a self check-in, but the girl at the till sorted it with name, so I had a good experience

16.10.2026 UPDATE. Well it wasn't delivered last night, as promised in an email from Dunelm at 9.06pm. The delivery company, however, keep informing me, by text, that the delivery date is next Monday. I think this case, and the other similar cases described by customers, indicates that Dunelm and the courier are acting quite independently, a fatal condition for customers of large items. Other online retailers of furniture can get the delivery process right. The deliveries manager at Dunelm needs to go on a course of some kind, where he or she will learn how others do it. Perhaps crowdfunding could be employed. I don't blame the courier, AITHD, in this case. They come when they say they will, the problem is where Dunelm give a date.

UPDATE ON ABSENCE OF CHAIR DELIVERY.
At 9.06pm tonight, 15th Oct.,I was sent an email from Dunelm, (yes sent at 9.06pm), stating that my chair would indeed be delivered that day, as originally promised 15th October. However, with only 3 hours before midnight, I didn't wait up, but I admit I did check outside to see if it had been left by the door.
This compounds my view that delivery of large items at Dunelm is a shambles. To many customers buying large items which require them to be at home at time of delivery, this uncertainty on delivery can be a costly affair. I will not be dealing with Dunelm again.

Ordered a £400 chair on 6th October. Was informed delivery would be 15th October, today. Have heard nothing since.
Tracking of order shows order processed but not shipped. Won't be coming today then.
Previous experience - £800 settee last month arrived a day late. This company have 'form', as they say in the criminal world.

Update 5pm 15.10.2026. Item hasn't arrive on date arranged. However, today did receive message from a courier asking me to arrange a delivery date. I had thought we'd done that some time ago, for delivery today. Not good enough. Customers rely on agreed dates in order to be at home to receive large items like a chair.
Looking at other reviews, Dunelm seem to have a history of poor delivery. They have 'Form' in this area.

Bought slippers, they arrived breaking and broke within a couple of wears.

The store experience was excellent. The quiet experience very good.the survey was excellent. But trying to contact the store to discuss materials was hopeless. We rang more than ten times over a period of Fife days and no one answered the phone. We were told to ring back on the auto system. We are now trying Hillary’s.

Delivered on time. My product is excellent. Will use Dunelm again

After ordering my goods it still hasn’t moved and hasn’t been shipped I will not be using you again
