Although the furniture I ordered was absolutely lovely and arrived quite promptly, unfortunately I discovered some damage when I unpacked it.

However, the way the team handled the situation has been incredible. From the moment I contacted them, they were incredibly helpful, responsive and prompt in working towards a resolution. They made what could have been a stressful or disappointing experience so much easier, and I genuinely felt like they cared about getting things sorted for me.

It’s one thing for a company to provide beautiful products, but I think the true test of customer service is how they handle things when something doesn’t go quite to plan.. and they have been fantastic!

I would absolutely recommend them to others and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from them again 😊

Purchased the couch on display which was fine. Staff were polite and attentive. When I paid for the item, there was a separate payment for delivery which stated ‘cash only upon delivery’. I found this odd and asked the sales person if I were to be given a receipt for payment to which the answer was yes.

The day of delivery I ask the delivery person, ‘Ronaldo’ if I could please have a receipt for the cash payment to which he replied no, he only accepts cash with no receipt! I then went on to explain that this cash demand with no document of evidence is actually against the law (tax implications) to which he replied if I don’t like it then he will take the couch back to early settler nunawading and I can pick it up from there. Obviously my hands were tied so I paid.
I rang the store and made a complaint and they assured me they will look into it. I’m still waiting.
The threat of returning the item to the store if I didn’t fork out cash was a bully tactic.
One more thing, gaining benefit by demanding cash and not paying taxes in this country is indecent and unlawful.

So off. Never again

She has gone above and beyond to keep me updated throughout the exchange process, even taking the time to provide personal email updates regarding my item. We ordered a bedroom set from Early Settler and when we unpacked our order the colour of the beside tables was different to the colour of the dresser. What followed was a very positive experience when we contacted them about our issue. We received regular updates via email and our issue was delegated to the appropriate staff members to follow up on. The staff went over and above to ensure that our replacement furniture was the same colour and arranged for the new set to be delivered to our home. We are so grateful for the customer service and the support that we received. We would not hesitate to purchase from them again based on our experience.

We purchased this sofa because the price was reasonable and, to be fair, it is comfortable once set up. Unfortunately, the overall experience left us disappointed.

Delivery was around three weeks later than expected, which was frustrating.

The sofa is modular, something I hadn’t appreciated when ordering. In fairness, the website does state that “some assembly is required”. Assembly itself wasn’t difficult, although the instructions were fairly minimal.

The biggest issue is that, despite being sold as a two-seater, the two sections cannot be physically connected together. They simply sit side by side. I find this a very odd design choice, particularly as the backs and arms mean there is really only one practical configuration anyway. I even contacted my nearest store, and they weren’t aware that the sections couldn’t be joined and said they would let their sales team know.

When I contacted online customer support, I felt my concerns were dismissed. I was told the sections are intentionally left unconnected to provide customisability. That explanation doesn’t make sense for a two seater sofa to me, given the design effectively requires the two modules to remain together.

Overall, the sofa is comfortable and reasonably priced, but the late delivery, inability to connect the modules, and average customer support mean I wouldn’t recommend it.
