Next day delivery took 5 days with, frustratingly, the wrong part being delivered. Lady in office very helpful however and correct part did arrive the following day. Guy I had lined up to fit it wasn't best pleased though, understandably. I won't write here what he said...

Non existent stock advertised
They advertised something, a silver Saxby track pendant adaptor, as being available from stock.
They had no stock.
They then discovered it was discontinued so they couldn't get one.
After three days they cancelled the order and I has to wait for a refund to process.
And they never apologied once.
USELESS COMPANY.

We’re very sorry to have let you down on this occasion.
Our stock records showed that the pendant adaptor was available, but when our warehouse team went to pick it, they discovered that the shelf was unfortunately bare. We immediately tried to obtain a replacement from Saxby, only to learn that the product had been discontinued.
Product ranges can change very quickly and, occasionally, discontinuation information does not reach us before an order is placed. Nevertheless, the accuracy of our website and the way your order was handled remain our responsibility.
We’re particularly sorry that you didn’t receive a proper apology from us at the time. You absolutely should have done. We fully understand your disappointment and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience, the delay and the additional wait for your refund.

Their online ordering process is very easy and straightforward, the service is fast and efficient, and my most recent order arrived within about a week, securely packed and exactly as expected.

Good price but delivered late
Pricing was main reason to use EC. Apart from the late delivery which was disappointing, everything else was fine. When I talked to Charlotte in customer service, she was quick to investigate. Parts delivered next day.

In my experience
In my experience, I ordered a black ceiling pendant. Pretty simple. I received a white one. I waited a while to get it also and I couldn’t do much in my kitchen after dark as I needed a new ceiling pendant. So as I was desperate for light in my kitchen I couldn’t wait another 5 days for a replacement so I opted to stick with the one they sent me. They also wanted me to package the one they sent me and go to my post office with details they send me via email. I’m a busy person so I don’t have time for all that faffing about. But maybe this is a one off error, and I’ll say the lady on the phone was very helpful. But I’d not use this company again for something I need in a hurry. I’d suggest Amazon.

We’re very sorry that you ordered a black pendant and received a white one, particularly after waiting for the delivery and needing to restore the lighting in your kitchen urgently. We completely understand why waiting several more days for a replacement wasn’t practical.
We also appreciate that being asked to package and return the incorrect item felt like additional work created by our mistake. Although we’re pleased that our colleague was helpful, we should have supplied the correct product in the first place and made resolving the problem as straightforward as possible.

Good pricing and product, very misleading lead times
Two stars because I eventually did receive my items and they were priced competitively however, I placed my order on 1st of September and was all meant to be for next day delivery and only received my items on the 8th with absolutely no communication directly from the electrical counter so not happy with the service.

Ordered some bulbs, was advised 3-5 working day delivery. 7 working days went by, heard nothing. Emailed to ask: was advised there’s no stock and won’t be for a couple of days.
No confirmation of this prior, nobody reached out to advise this. Not great

Absolutely Horrible company to deal…
Absolutely Horrible company to deal with. I had placed Large order and when delivery came in there was a particular item missing. When I tried to report this on their Customer care phone - You cannot get through after holding for over 10 Minutes it always ended into Voicemail. Tried multiple times in vain.
I sent them email reporting this and the reply was shocking "Are per our record we have sent you all Items".
Sent me a photo of all items being manually ticked implying they were packed and sent.
Zero Customer service and complete lack of empathy.
After multiple emails back and forth and my builder waiting for parts they accepted that they missed packing 10 items .
Avoid this company at all cost if something goes wrong they will pin it on you.

We’re sorry that you were frustrated by the way this was handled, and particularly that you initially had difficulty getting through to us by telephone. We completely understand how frustrating that would be when you were trying to resolve a shortage on a live site.
When a shortage is reported, we do have to carry out some basic checks before replacing goods. In this case, we checked the order against our dispatch records and asked whether the delivery had been fully checked on site. This wasn’t intended to suggest that you were at fault; it is simply part of our normal process. With deliveries to site, we do sometimes find that items have been packed within another box, separated from the rest of the order, or moved after delivery.
Where those checks are inconclusive, we can also reconstruct and re-weigh an order against the original recorded dispatch weight. We make approaching 100,000 dispatches each year, so having a consistent process for investigating reported shortages is important.
In your case, once the initial checks had been completed and the matter remained unresolved, we accepted the shortage you reported and dispatched the missing goods to you.
We certainly don’t agree that our intention was to “pin it on” you. We were simply trying to establish what had happened before sending replacement stock. That said, we accept that our communication could have explained this process better, and the difficulty reaching us by telephone clearly added to your frustration.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused and are pleased that the missing items were ultimately replaced.
