Disappointed
I’m really disappointed with my recent purchase of Escentric Molecule 01 (150 euro for the larger bottle). All I can smell from it is hand sanitizer, and unfortunately, neither I nor my family or friends pick up any actual fragrance when I wear it. It feels like such a waste, especially after upgrading to the bigger size.
What makes this more frustrating is that I had previously tried the sample set and genuinely loved all of the scents. A few months ago, I bought a 30ml bottle of Molecule 05 because I adore bergamot, and while I enjoyed it, I did notice that the scents don’t last long. I’ve never once had anyone ask me, “What perfume are you wearing?”—which is something I was used to experiencing with other brands.
To add to the confusion, a friend of mine bought Molecule 01 a few years back, and I absolutely loved it on her. I can instantly recognize the scent when someone else wears it, which is why I was so excited to finally invest in a larger bottle for myself. But this one I just bought on Tuesday doesn’t smell anything like what I remember—it’s flat, alcohol-like, and incredibly underwhelming.
Now I’m stuck with a 100ml bottle that doesn’t deliver on what I expected, and honestly, I feel really let down. :(

We’re sorry this experience hasn’t matched your last. The formula hasn't changed, but as a singular molecule fragrance, it can become less-easily detected over time. We recommend trying it again after a short pause to help reset your senses.

I received my Discovery Molecule Samples and found the one I liked the most. I really like how Molecule 4 reacts on my skin and immediately ordered the 30ml. My next possible order could be the Molecule 3, I enjoyed that as well.

I recently purchased M04 after trying it from a friend.
I understand that the scent can vary for each individual due to pH levels; however, I am unable to detect any fragrance on myself. Initially, I suspected that I had not applied enough or had become nose blind, but I also asked my partner to try it, and he could hardly smell anything either. Neither my friends nor my colleagues could perceive any notes from the M04. This is quite disappointing, as I truly appreciate the concept of a unique scent and the initial fragrance I experienced from my friend's M04 bottle.
Therefore, I would like to inquire whether the formula has changed in the past few months and if weather conditions might have affected the perfume, causing it to deteriorate? I can only detect alcohol, and I am not alone in this observation.
Escentric Molecules are not the most affordable option, yet it appears that the scent and projection of the perfume have been underwhelming, leading me to question whether I would choose Escentric Molecules again in the future.
I have set a email to support escentric , however I never received a reply.
