Adrian did his utmost to find out why our car was 'smelly' - it took 3 visits but he found it and sorted it - friendly, professional and our go to place when it comes to our vehicle - thank you great team!

Dropped my car off with a slow puncture (the car, not me). The staff were excellent and sorted it quickly and cheaply.

My experience at ETB has always been good. Today it was excellent. Luke couldn’t do enough. He was prompt to att end to me, explained clearly what the job entailed, listened to me and acknowledged my needs and provided an outstanding service, even coming out into the car park to check I was happy with the work.

I have never had a bad experience at this place. They can’t do enough to help. I had an issue that was impossible to resolve but they were really helpful and got me back on the road.

Very accommodating, Bought 2 tyres recently and yesterday had a puncture, they repaired the puncture free of charge. Very generous very happy.

Yet again had really great customer service here. All really polite. Happy with the service and good price.

I recently had two new front tyres fitted at the Hereford branch, the rear wheels were also balanced and the wheels aligned.

However, after just a few miles I started to hear sound strange noises from the front of the car. I did some research, and bearing in mind the fact that I had just had two new tyres fitted, thought it must be something else going wrong.

After much research I thought it must be that a CV joint was failing.

In a couple more days, the noise had got so loud that I called my garage up to ask for help. They thought it sounded serious and asked that I take the car in straight away.

This I did and what was found was horrifying. The wheel nuts on one of the front wheels were so loose that it could have come off the car in a few more miles.

The other front wheel was not that much better.

How could this happen when they had just been fitted?

Until I hear a believable alternative, I can only conclude that they were not fitted correctly by ETB.

I contacted them to complain, and was told that this sort of thing cannot happen, but they failed to give me another reason for the loose nuts.

They said that the matter was going to be passed up to management and that I would hear from them in a couple of days.

After four days I have heard nothing, so beside doubting their tyre fitting capabilities I also doubt their belief in customer service management.

To be fair their invoices do state that you should have the wheel nuts checked after covering no more than 100 miles, but even if I had done this, I would have no doubt found a lot of loose nuts and that is the point.

ETB - Caerphilly.
The service I receive from Mark and the Team at Caerphilly ETB is second to none. They are all polite and informative. They don't push products, and always give a few options regarding the price of parts/tyres etc. ETB Caerphilly will always be my go to garage. I have recommended them to many of my friends.

ETB at Derby were great when I visited recently. My exhaust was knocking and so I popped in as I was driving past on the off chance. They identified the issue and fixed it within 10 minutes, when I asked how much they said there was no charge because it was quick and easy. Brilliant service and not trying to rip me off like some garages. I took my car there for a service and MOT last year and I'll be going there again this year, it's these little things that keep customers happy, well done ETB.

Dealt with my problem quickly and efficiently. I will use them again in future.

I’ve never left a bad review before but after today. On the 27TH SEPTEMBER 2024 I visited ETB STOURPORT with polite and friendly gentlemen who dealt with my car which had a minor hole in my exhaust. £150 for the work.

Fast forward to Today 22ND JULY 2025 My MOT failed because they hadn’t done the work correctly leaving me with leaking emissions and an additional bill for repairs to get my car through the MOT.

I will not be going back and feel like I’ve been taken advantage of because I am a young female who thought they would do a job correctly.

ETB Coventry - was an in a bit of a pickle and needed some tyres urgently- the lads were friendly and helpful and had me sorted in no time and at a great price - well done!

Never left a bad review and left a good one last time at the Llanelli branch maybe a bit too soon as we lost a wheel nut a few weeks later quite dangerous in my mind as it obviously was not Torqued at all. I can provide a receipt for tyres and a receipt for a wheel nut also date is approximate

I recently went to EBT in Taunton to have two new Bridgestone tyres fitted, expecting, as a Bridgestone-owned company, they’d naturally have access to the latest Bridgestone tyres. I was surprised when they told me the tyres I wanted weren’t even on their database. Oddly enough, a certain well-known web-based tyre shop did have them — so I ordered the tyres there and had them delivered to and fitted by EBT.

The initial fitting experience was good — the tall chap who dealt with me at the time was excellent, very helpful, and accommodating of the tight timescales I was under due to a caravan delivery. He did mention (rather strangely) that while EBT couldn’t get those Bridgestones direct, “some bloke” could get them. That alone struck me as odd for a Bridgestone company, but I stuck with what I had ordered properly.

Unfortunately, later that day my car suffered an engine failure, and after three months off the road, I finally collected it. Only then — when driving at normal speed — did I notice the rear tyres hadn’t been balanced. Since I’d only covered around 100 miles since EBT fitted them, I thought I’d pop in and get it sorted.

On arrival, the place was quiet — only one car in the bay, nobody else around — yet I still had to ring the bell to get someone to come to reception. The gentleman who eventually came out was impeccably groomed, but less than impeccably mannered. When I made a light comment about how quiet it was (hoping they might fit me in), it went right over his head and I got nothing but a grunt.

I explained the situation clearly: the car had been off the road due to breakdown, hence why I hadn’t noticed the imbalance earlier, but it was clear now. He looked at me as though I were making it all up, muttered “that was 6 months ago” (I corrected him — it was 3), and still acted disbelieving. When I suggested checking their records for mileage and pointed out the sealant was still visible on the tyres, he reluctantly agreed — but his next line was, “and what would you like me to do about it?”

I asked if they could rebalance them — to which I got another grunt and a curt, “well, there’ll be a charge.” I said if that’s the case, so be it. I handed over my keys, only for him to hand them straight back saying it wouldn’t be done today and I’d have to come back in three days.

When I queried — given the empty-looking workshop — whether they really couldn’t squeeze me in, I was given a lecture about how rude it was of me to “demand” same-day service, how they were 8 team members down, and so on. For the record, I never “demanded” anything — I simply asked, as a customer, if they could help.

Frankly, the attitude was unnecessary, dismissive and left me feeling like I was being treated as a liar or a nuisance. In the end, I drove down the road to another independent tyre shop who balanced the tyres there and then, while serving other customers, for £12. Job done — no fuss.

It’s disappointing to see such a lack of customer care and basic courtesy. What happened to exceeding customer expectations, or even just meeting them? I won’t be going back to EBT Taunton, and I won’t be buying tyres “from some bloke” either.

I needed an auxiliary battery for my camper van, and the staff at ETB couldn't have been more helpful.
Found me a comparable battery, made sure it fitted battery compartment, and advised me where to get new connectors,as mine aren't standard.

Update - It turns out that they had not balanced my front wheels either and this was confimed by a different fitter when i had them balanced today 14/7/25.

Visited the Stratford-upon-Avon branch to have two new front tyres fitted. The staff were friendly and the service was completed promptly. However, when I was handed the keys, I noticed the locking wheel nut had been left on the wheel – thankfully I spotted it before driving off. Also, my steering wheel was left quite dirty, likely from oil or grease, as gloves didn’t appear to have been used when handling the car.

I returned on Thursday 19/06/25 to have the rear tyres replaced. Again, the team were friendly and welcoming. But once I got home, I noticed both valve caps were missing and the wheels hadn’t been balanced. When I called, I was told that balancing is usually done as standard, so it seems this was simply overlooked.

To their credit, they asked me to bring the car back in and rebalanced the wheels free of charge. 👍 However, for the third time, the steering wheel was left grubby again, which was disappointing.

I’d strongly recommend that the team wear gloves when moving customer vehicles or, alternatively, allow customers to drive their own cars into the bay. It’s a small step that would go a long way in improving the customer experience.
