Events and Adventures Avis 

I loved the people. They were friendly and welcoming. However, sometimes it was difficult to fit in because the hosts didn’t introduce or try to make sure we were all socializing since everyone knew each other already.

The events were often far from where I live. They also almost always cost money and are not moderately priced. Overall, I did not feel like I was getting a great deal for my monthly membership.

I'm told one thing and than find out another. Communication is very bad .
Was not thoroughly told about reg for events and canceling. not liking my experience so far.

I'm new to E&A and have only attended 2 events so far. The first of which was the meet and greet for new members. We met at a bowling alley. Because of everyone was just arriving and getting their shoes, making it a little hard to really see who was new and who were members for a while. However once we started bowling we were able to interact a lot more. I'm planning on attending 2 events so far in September. They have a wide variety of events to choose from which is great. I think once I'm able to participate in more events I'll be able to give 5 starts.

I honestly regret signing up for this singles group. It is too expensive and not very many people show up to the events I go to. I'm glad I only agreed to pay for a year and don't plan to sign up again.

Great opportunity to get out, have fun and meet people that are trying to be entertained as well.

Michelle does a great job, but she needs an assistant. Many of us would appriciate more events in the Chicago suburbs.

I just got back from a trip to Croatia. It was a wonderful trip. There were some hiccups, but the end result was happiness.

The local activities that are scheduled in my area look like fun. I've signed up for a few this next month.

I always look forward to the events I attend. They're always much better than spending that same time by myself. There's plenty of variety in the events on each month's schedule.

Like the different events gives you a chance to try something you haven't done before

“Where there is smoke there likely is fire“ is as applicable to Events & Adventures as one could sadly imagine. You might want to carefully heed serious caution and reconsider going into any type of business arrangement with this incredibly inadequate and financially fraudulent company. Take the time to closely read up on E&A’s Better Business Bureau report (it’s filled with quite disturbing warnings) as well as the number of class action lawsuits filed against them over the last few years, if you’d like to spare yourself the headache of “getting in bed” with them. To say “E&A is beyond incompetent from the top down and should not exist as a business” is putting it in extremely gentle language for you. Good luck and please take the time to find the RIGHT company for your in-person social networking fun, regardless of your age. E&A does not deliver quality services and knowingly loses no sleep about screwing its customers over. Don’t say you missed all the huge red flags about them. A fraudulent business through and through.

they trick you into a long term contract that you cannot get out of without owing them a lot of money

Got talked into signing up, saying I could get a "reasonable refund" if I gave it a fair shot and didn't like it, and then once I did and found out the demographic really didn't match me in my city Vancouver (which should have been communicated upfront).. I emailed support asking for a refund and they just gave excuses and eventually ignore me... I.e. they won't give me back any of the THOUSANDS of dollars they conned me out of! Avoid at all costs.

Be aware! This is a scam!

This is extremely expensive for a membership and then they charge you per event on top of that. Members are limited. Not worth the money at all, and didn't line up with their sales pitch whatsoever.

I am very upset with this social group because I feel misled when I was told the age range of the group was from 20yrs old to 70yrs old and so far all I've seen is people in their 30s. I am in my early 60s and feel very uncomfortable at the events. It was also never explained to me that the cancellation policy to get a refund was 3 days within signing up. How is someone supposed to determine in 3 days if they like the group?!!! Also, I was never told that I would have to pay for many of the activities in addition to what I paid for a 2 year membership which was not cheap by any means. When I reached out to the company with my complaints I was passed along to the resolution team who was of no help at all. Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have suck it up and chalk it up to experience.

Events and Adventures is for anyone who has an adventurous spirit, wants to meet awesome people and is looking for unique experiences to share with others. Some of my favorite events have been bubble soccer, curling, celebrating New Years, darts at Flight Club and snow tubing. However the best part of EA has been meeting so many wonderful people who have become my "tribe."

You guys were extremely fun and adventurous!!!

It's not what you expect - some pros and some cons.

If you are joining the MSP club to find "the one", it likely won't happen. The group has a great mix of single people to hang out with. I've made some amazing single friends, but have had very little luck with dating. Events tend to repeat with less fresh ideas, and draw many of the same people. I enjoy the opportunity to get out and hang out with singles. I joined in hopes of getting off the online dating world, but that really didn't turn out to be the case.

I LOVE the concept. I only attended a few outings because I met someone early on via Match! But I will return to EandA if I need to down the line (you can freeze your membership so you don't lose out). On some of the outings, I felt like the host needed to do a better job mixing people up. Or mix people up half way through so that we get to meet more people per outing. For Boda Borg outing, for example, change teams half way through. It would also be great to have a way to contact people (not in group chat) after an event.

Too many events are lame... and there's a lot of events in Chicago, but not enough in the suburbs. I joined this club to make new friends and meet women. The women in the group have been heard saying on more than 1 occasion, that they are in the group to make friends and then meet men at the public places we go to, but will not anyone actually in E&A. If they want to meet guys in public, then they don't need to be part of the group. As far as making friends, it's been a struggle and many people have clicks in the group and its been hard to infiltrate that. I really have not made any friends in the area to hang out with. There needs to be more new people added with a different mentality. There have been a couple fun activities and the trip to
Grand Canyon was good. I have a year left on membership and I don't really care to be part of club anymore because it's not as fun as I hoped.
