Events and Adventures Avis 

I like E&a has a lot of cool events on the calendar but the demographic of female members is older than 20s & 30s. I suggest you guys do more promoting at the university or young people's bar. I know there are a lot of young single ladies, I am sure they will like E&a.

Easy to find, great company, excellent food.

I’ve met some great people through this group that became best friends. I’ve started new traditions with traveling thanks to this group. I’ve done activities that I didn’t think I’d do and had fun doing it. I love the different events for different moods and people.

I LOVE being a part of Events and Adventures! I've made amazing life long friends and found an amazing man that I wouldn't have otherwise! The events and trips... so much fun!!

Everything has been fun so far. Only 1 event has been one that I thought was overpriced for what was provided. Other than that, it has lived up to the name.

If you're looking for an easy way to meet new friends and explore your city, Events & Adventures is everything you dreamed!

For real though, if you've ever thought "that'd be cool but I can't go alone" about an activity or establishment, or "I wish it was easier to make friends as an adult" this group is for you!
Since February 2022, I've had wonderful experiences at dinners, happy hours, volleyball, pickleball, beach days, rooftop bars, hikes and typically "touristy" activities in my city. I have loved every second of meeting interesting people who bring great energy to events, usually laughing until my face hurts every time. It also means a lot to know that people look out for each other's safety at events and know I'm not going to end up on an episode of Dateline with any member of the group.

I've gone on dates outside of the group activities with a few members, and developed some close friends in women I would have never otherwise met. I even found a special person that I could have as a "check-in" buddy when I meet people from online. Those kinds of connections are not just things you happen upon but are possible here due to the way the group and joining process are set up.

If you travel, you'll be happy to know your membership extends to any other city where there's an active associated chapter! I am a member in Tampa Bay, but have hung out at events with the Chicago and Boston clubs. Fun experiences abound if you are open minded and like to do stuff!!!

This has been the adventures of my life. I have done more things in this last year then I have my whole life thanks to E&A. The friends I have made will be for a lifetime as well.

Good people in the club. Manager has been split in too many directions and event scheduling has suffered. Lots of complaints about event scheduler not listening to members suggestions for events and very poor event calendars for past several months. Event hosts rarely go out of their way to help new members get introduced and feel welcome.

The events on the calendar for the last few months, for Chicago at least, have been lack luster at best. There’s no real pizazz or spark in the events listed. The suburb events are even more so compared to the city events. Event suggestions seem to fall on deaf ears.

I have attended many events from Events and Adventures Boston in the last two months of joining. These include Salsa 💃 dancing, karaoke The Big E fair, Stop light dance party, white party cruise, Martha’s Vineyard, bocci ball, kickball, escape rooms,drag bingo, weekend in Maine, kayaking and dinner at multiple restaurants in Boston. In January, I am planning to go to Costa Rica. All these events are very organized and I have meet a lot of people that became good friends. This group is definitely worth it and I highly recommend it to everyone over 21 to join. The people in this group are very friendly and welcoming! I look forward to meeting all the new members 💗💗💗

I like how E & A has given me the chance to get out in my city & do things & meet great, kind people! I’d do more events if I could afford it (some are expensive).

Events and adventures doesn’t always do a good job of communicating with the event venue. More than once we have had an event where important details such as dance teacher is not available until members arrive.

There a definitely some good events, and signing up for them gets me out, but I feel that it is far to many bar mingles and restaurant events for my tastes. I was hoping for more do things events like the recent archery, would love to see art classes or gardening, or pottery. But for every 1 of those events there are 3 loud bar venues where it is just sitting at a table unable to even have a conversation because the room is too loud.

Events and Adventures Houston is a great place to meet new people, do new things, and get out of your comfort zone to be more social. The events are spread across the Houston area because of members who live within a certain radius. Get out and do something different.

Best decision I ever made was to join this club 2 years ago. I have met amazing friends and people. I met my best friend for life and my close circle of friends who are like me and love life. I have done things I would never have done alone and with the amazing encouragement of people who were experiencing it with me and was guided by amazing hosts and event manager Annie. I cannot say anything bad about this experience and decision to join this amazing group. My life has improved and changed for the better. The networking and friendships I have made will last much longer than my membership! But I’m planning to become a lifetime member to keep this experience going and to be the support to new members like I received when I joined.

Been a member of the Denver chapter for 4 months, attended about 5 events. I believe I've seen more than half of the Denver chapter at this point.
My problem is the demographics in this group just isn't great for me.
I'm 33. Was hoping to find singles around my age.
In 4 months, having attended about 5 events - have seen TWO girls who looked like they are under 35, before one considers anything else. Out of about 70 people signed up!
90% of the people in the group are at least over 40, with about 40% are retiree age 65+
60-70% is male on any given event.
Some are NOT, in fact, single, and have been with the club for years.
If you wanna socialize and occasionally attend some organized events - sure, go ahead. If you're a guy in your 30s and wanna find a date and join some SERIOUS adventures - save your time and look elsewhere. I would've given it a 3 stars (aka - "a very average meetup group") if not for the $2k+ upfront fee - it would've been worthwhile if my expectations were met at least partially, but alas.
Basically just another Meetup group but with a $2k price tag to join. In fact I've had better luck attending some (free!) meetup groups. With that in mind - only 2 stars (below expectations).

YMMV, some men I've met there - seem to enjoy it. Or they pretend to. I've tried to, honestly.

Such a scam. They know it! A&E do not allow you to apply for a refund. They tell you have have 3 days yet all the information to cancel and get a refund is gone! All e docs. They do not return calls. Filed a complaint with BBB and contacted a lawyer. This needs to end! They charge for events as well. Please save yourself the trouble save your money and the headache!

deceptive sales practices and marketing. Really not good for dating or for making friends because a lot of people are A. not single and B. not in your age range since ages are all over the place. Plus they lock you into a 1yr agreement. Wouldn't recommend

They promise high quality candidates to date, but in my experience that is not the case. Don't get sucked in by the advertisements. They are very misleading. And don't be fooled by the interview and background check. They let anyone into the group as long as they pay the membership fee.

I stayed in the club because of the trips. I went on 3 trips that were good but then I think they oversold several trips trying to makeup for lost revenue during COVID. Then they were trying to figure out how to get people off of the trips when everything opened back up. In my experience, they withheld vaccination requirements for a trip I was scheduled to go on until 10 days before the trip. By then it was to late to complete the required vaccinations to go to Greece. Events and Adventures kept ALL of my money. $4,000 Then they told DISCOVER that I canceled out of the trip. I did not cancel, they withheld vaccination requirements until it was to late to preform required vaccinations. According to DISCOVER the Events and Adventures cancellation policy basically makes everything non-refundable unless the company is willing to give a refund. Which, in my experience and in talking to other members who have also had similar experiences with Events and Adventures the company never gives refunds. Even if Events and Adventures themselves cancel the trip! So I lost $4,000 and did not get to go on my dream vacation. Beware of this company!!

BUYER BEWARE! Please search how many complaints have been filed with the Better Business Bureau around the country. This supposed singles club with “like-minded people” was not my experience whatsoever.
When you expressed your dissatisfaction—even though they have your credit card information to charge you their precious MONEY— they send you to a collections agency they use to make you pay the thousands of dollars you “owe” them. Apparently that’s all they are about—Collections, not connections. Run! Try Meet Up for free. Do anything but pay money for a unethical club with a money-focused contract. Shame on this whole outfit for preying on singles. I recently paid off $2048.98 through the collections company they used. I am so glad to be rid of this scam.
