On Saturday June 14th, we purchased three tickets for the 3:20 showing of “How to train your Dragon” at the Movie Tavern Exton, 110 Bartlett Ave, Exton Pa.
We were planning to surprise our 7-year-old grandson by taking him to the movies before he stayed overnight with us while his parents attended a neighbor’s wedding. It was his first time staying alone away from his parents. It was important we make it a good experience.
We picked him up and drove to the theater. We told him we were taking him to the movies as a surprise. He didn’t seem excited, which surprised us. He said he doesn’t really like movies. We were shocked and asked why. He said the last two times he went to a movie he had nightmares. At that point considering him staying overnight for the first time without his parents it would be better to not push the issue.
We got to the theater before showtime, and I went to the ticket counter right away to see if we could get a credit or refund. The woman at the counter was very understanding when I explained the situation. She tried to look up the tickets and had difficulty. I explained that I bought the tickets through Fandango that morning. She explained that I had to go to the Fandango web site for a refund.
My grandson and wife went across the street to Barnes & Noble. I drove across a parking lot to meet my wife and grandson. Once in the store, I signed on to the Fandango web site. As I started to process the request for a refund the message came up that it was past the start time. I looked at my watch and it was 3 minutes past the movie start time.
Tried to find a place to request a refund and there was none since it was past the show start time. how much money is the company making with this restricytive policy? Will not be using Fandango ever again.
Fandango cheated me on Father's Day
Fandango cheated me on Father's Day. Ordered their gift card promo. Paid $50. Never received the card and consequently missed our showing. Thanks for ruining Father's Day Fandango! Ill never forget. You'll never receive another dime from me and I'll be sure to tell everyone how terrible your company is including my credit card provider and the BBB.

LESS THAN ONE STAR, earned by Fandango as we took our little twin boys to Lilo Stitch movie, only to find another Mom treated us to tickets! After the movie, I had a moment is my car to notify Fandango and share, the $38 in tickets were a gift to us, and we needed to void the Fandango tickets as they were not scanned, and un used. FANDANGO said NO!! and kept our money - THIS IS FRAUD, pure and simple. Why should they be allowed to keep un used tickets that were never scanned in as used? FRAUDULENT COMPANY -$38 dollars to a Mom can buy food, gas, a future ticket credit may have been fair? BUT KEEPING OUR MONEY - is FRAUD - never using Fandango again. NEVER. Moms unite, BOYCOTT FANDANGO.
Hidden fees
Hidden fees, including a "donation" that you HAVE to pay, makes this a scam worth avoiding. Fandango is NOT trustworthy, either. You are better off just getting your ticket at the theater and letting Fandango just Go - away.
The customer service is worst
The customer service is worst. They are trying to loot money from customers by saying Fandango benefits.
The coupon code expired one day before as per customer service. What the heck is this? Are they trying to cheat ppl by giving wrong information.
Don't Stand by Technical Issues
They are responsible for streaming Live at The Met in HD at some cinemas and those cinemas have had issues with sound not matching video, blackouts, skipping, pixilating, etc. and they refuse to offer a refund or discounts. Don't use them unless you have no choice.

Fandango not interested in keeping loyal customers
I have been a fandango customer for over a decade. I bought 2 tickets at 1:27 PM. Two minutes later I realized it was for the wrong day and immediately contacted customer service to exchange the tickets for the following day. They refused saying that the movie started at 1:15 PM. I did not want a refund only an exchange. I pointed out that they sold me a ticket after the movie had already started but they didn't care. They didn't even offer a discount or try to make me whole in any way. I will never use Fandango ever again! I've deleted the app and will share my experience with my network of friends and relatives.
The worst
The worst! Bought movie tickets charged my PayPal, and after the PayPal purchase went through it did not reconnect back to Fandango to finish the seat selection. Contacted them that they charged me and didn’t provide the tickets and they said since the movie occurred already no refund. Good thing PayPal doesn’t agree with them, a full refund coming from PayPal.

I purchased 3 tickets multiple times because I didn’t receive the proper confirmation and the tickets didn’t go into my wallet. It was obvious I purchased tickets twice by accident and one time from the wrong theater bc I was trying to purchase walking into the theater with my son and friend. They have a strict policy that will not meet the customers’ needs. Their service fee is a waste and I regret ever using this service. If you check their BBB complaints, they will not offer any exceptions with very valid reasons if the request is made “after airing”.

Don't buy movies on this application I own 199 movies that I can't download on my computer. The only way to download is on a moble device. And a moble device can't hold all that data . Basically you don't own the movies if their application goes down you lose all your movies . In this society now they want you to believe you own something but you don't I haven't bought anymore movies from this company

Ive tried to buy ticket over fandango and im a member so i can get free ticket once a month. Ive paid my membership and I’ve try to use my points but no I can’t buy tickets cover fandango since Wednesday and I ve called support service yesterday . They told me that the problem is on website so I have to wait two hour and then I again could buy tickets cover fandango. Today is Friday and no I still can’t buy ticket over the fandango it’s want let me still .

Fandango is by far the worst establishment to even do business with . I’ve given fandango several opportunities to do right but it seems like they just went from bad to worse ! Everytime i try to order tickets fandango says purchase didn’t go through yet bank statement shows it went through and it’s pending . Then when you call or speak to customer service they say money is on hold and will be released back in 3-5 business days! Why is there a hold if the purchase didn’t go through ! Give yourself peace and don’t bother with fandango
Don't expect a refund even if you're dying
I started the 7-day free trial when purchasing a ticket and wound up in the hospital before I could cancel it. I tried contacting fandago multiple times, explaining the situation and asking about a possible refund, and received the equivalent of a middle finger each time.
Reading these other reviews makes me extra sad, I don't know how they still have a business when they are so unwilling to work with customers.
No more fanclub for us
I do not recommend the reward membership fan club. We’ve lost tickets multiple times because once you apply your reward to a movie, no changes are allowed. They also make it super complicated to retrieve any bonus rewards. We won’t be renewing our membership. We will use our theater’s program instead.

I bought tickets and food for the wrong day. I realized in time to use the online exchange/refund and that went smoothly... but during that time I had to find how to exchange/refund for the overpriced food I had purchased for my kids which you need to get a customer service rep. After waiting for the automation to go through all the prompts, I got to a customer service rep. He needed my info, the theater, and what I was calling for... I asked him if I could get the food refunded, but he told me the movie had already started. But you can see on my account I'm not at the theater because I exchange the tickets and that we'd been on the phone going through the details and now the movie has started. They offered nothing... can't wait to delete this app.

I have been a fandango customer since 2014. I bought 3 tickets and didn't realize I purchased the wrong day until the movie already started I wanted them for the next day and got a hold of customer service about accidentally buying the wrong date and they refused to change, credit or reimburse. I will never use Fandango ever again! deactivated my account and kicked to the curb just like they did to me.
