Gilbert Rugby Avis 6

I ordered a size 5 rugby ball for my grandson-the price was excellent with free postage-I was expecting it to arrive inflated but it arrived deflated and as I didn’t have a bicycle pump I had to purchase one.
The service, from purchase to delivery was timely with no issues. They have lots of rugby associated products of good quality so don’t hesitate to consider them.

Great delivery and returns service but....

However, where some items advertised are not in stock, you are offered the opportunity to leave your email address so that you will be notified when the items come back in stock. So I tried this on two different items.

On two occasions I was notified these items had came back in stock but not in the size that I requested. Bit annoying.

When it happened the second time I contacted Gilbert about this and was informed that the items I wanted were actually discontinued. Bit more annoying.

Surely The IT team could configure the Gilbert web site to clearly state what items are being discontinued to avoid disappointment.

Pro warm up trousers delivered fairly promptly.
Material used seems to be warm & I suspect water repellency will be good ( limited chance to test - read on!).
On receipt of trousers noted difficulty in using right lower leg zip - it would snag only a short distance from the upper extent of its range; however, it could be manipulated to function, although it was a bit of a faff ( why do manufacturers use such poor quality zips nowadays?).
The claim made that the zip “[allows] players to remove the trousers quickly during training” is false - apart from the zip snagging, when fully opened it was not possible for me to remove the trousers without first removing my footwear ( the trousers are of a “drainpipe” cut; I do not have large calf muscles or ankles).
On trying to use the zip today, I was not surprised to find that the right leg zip snagged - my attempts to get it to move freely have resulted in the trouser leg seam separating - not impressed; will have to be returned ( having read other reviews, I am not confident that my money will be refunded - it should be[ have only had the item for a few days & hardly used]).

Can't believe how quickly the items arrived--Christmas gift for my son so it was important.

Also, I appreciated the full disclosure Gilbert gave on the dumbass Trump tariff which I had to pay--nothing to do with Gilbert but the fact that they disclosed it made it less stressful since I was expecting it.

There were no reviews when I went to buy so I thought I should write one as that had made me nervous.
Their product prices were comparable with other retailers selling them for them BUT it was also very easy to find a discount code. Delivery was free and although the timeline was longer arrived the next day. Great product, great price, great delivery.
