Avoid at all costs!

Bought a washing machine and since day one it has been a nightmare! Clothes always come out smelling even after constant cleaning the machine. Cycles take a long time. Finally had enough and buying a new machine. Thought I would give the off brand one a go. Never again! Awful awful awful!
There is a reason you cant buy them anywhere anymore!

DO NOT BUY GORENJE FRIDGES.
I bought two and even before I began to use them there was ice built up on back walls of fridges. There are literally dozens of ice pellets on the walls. It’s impossible to scrape of even 1, let alone dozens. This also causes ice melt so that the fridges are constantly wet. The company doesn’t want to take any responsibility for the fridges. Its technician tells me it’s “normal” for this to happen.
I repeat: DO NOT BUY GORENJE fridges.
This is the first review I ever wrote.

I bought 3 Gorenje appliances. A fridge, a washing machine (both in Croatia) and a hob (integrated cooking plates, in Prague).

Both the fridge and the washing machine have been delivered defective (not obviouly defective). When it became obvious that something was wrong I got the usual "it-s-the-seller-it-is-the-service-problem" answers. So much for the customer service. After 3 years the cooking hob got broken.

Don't go near them.disgusting service.tried to register for warranty.told can only do it online and to photo and send copy of receipt. As not really up to this due to age.phoned 3 times to try to get help and register over the phone.absolutely refused to do this.wrote 3 times as well with the 3 Rd letter reminding them of a duty of care issue.no reply.machine pumped out water after 2 years.selling dealer said there was a 5 yr Warrenty.phoned no on back of guarantee booklet.phoned they said don't do it.got gorenje direct no eventually.waited 20 min each time tried.left with no one replying. Gave up and went and bought a hotpoint hoping for better service.never dealt with a worse firm in my life.avoid like the plague.

I have a gorenji pacific free-standing stove and oven of uncertain age. This oven's door has a built-in slit-like vent on the upper left-hand side as viewed from the front.This narrow slit allows out enough heat to cook the plastic handler on this side of the door and the hot handle to burn your hand if you open the door with this side of the handle.

I don't know the date the oven was made as it was in the house when we got it, but that is a plain stupid design feature if not dangerous. Having taken the back off the door, there is a slitted black plastic fitting between the back of the door and its front. I am not sure what this slit is for; it is built into the oven door quite deliberately and is a not a sensible thing for gorenje pacific to have done. If you are thinking of buying a gorenje pacific oven, new or second hand, check if your door has this slit and do not buy! It is dangerous. We will be replacing the oven because of this; otherwise the oven appears to have lasted well and to have cooked many a meal for the previous user.

Washer burnt our clothes. Btw, it was senso care washer. Customer service the worst ever, no help at all. They said we wash too much.

Bought a Gorenje fridge freezer and it failed just after the warrant period of 2 years, they aren't interested as they have had your money and couldn't care less £500 for a fridge freezer that lasts just 2 years and 4 month. Appalling AVOID

Had a Gorenjie kitchen fitted recommended by kitchen designer. What a mistake that was. On third main fan oven element and the whole oven has to come out to fit . Self cleaning oven programme is excellent but the elements can't take the high temperature. Dishwasher- Constant re washing as connector in middle tray becomes loose during wash cycle. cutlery tray useless. New fridge compressor broke after 6 months. Buy German.

I love my Gorenje washer machine, but when I went to purchase a replacement filter directly from Gorenje which cost $35 they wanted to charge $25 freight / postage. Very narrow thinking that their 'one size fits all' postage policy doesn't take into account items that can fit into a $5 postage satchel. Needless to say i'll look to purchase the item elsewhere on Ebay or somewhere similar with acceptable postage fees. Unfortunate poor support from a quality company.

We bought a gas hob electric Gorenje oven in 2020.
I had one before which was fabulous.
This one is awful.
The tray which slides out from the oven is dangerous and can tip a tray of hot food out. There isn't the right spacings because of this tray slider. The clock is in the wrong place. The pans wobble about on the hob. Not a good buy.

Sehr schlechter Kundendienst und unfreundliche Mitarbeiter....Vorsicht Abzocke mir wurden 130 Euro verrechnet obwohl ich eine Gatantieverlängerung gehabt habe, weil die Versicherung nicht zahlen wollte. Man wurde auch vorher nicht informiert....die Mitarbeiter reine Katastrophe, der Techniker wollte nicht einmal richtig arbeiten, kein Wunder das GORENJE so einen schlechten Ruf hat....NIE WIEDER GORENJE !!!!

I’ve always had a very good luck with gorenje, it’s one of the best brands in my opinion, customer service is also so amazing, they do their job! My old washer from gorenje is 22 years old, its still like brand new, my new one is 1 year soon, no complaining about it either, it does its job so amazingly. Thanks for the wonderful service & brand Gorenje!

Bought a white hob (model -IT612SY2W) late in 2019 @ £460.00. Just before Xmas 2021, one of the rings made a noise which resulted in a tiny crack forming on the glass. This then travelled across whole hob meaning the hob was unusable. Contacted Gorenje in January and after 3 months and 2 engineers I have been told the repair cost was £299. I authorised this as it was just out of warranty so had to take the hit but I’ve now been told parts are not available! Now after 3 months of numerous calls and emails and no hob I thought I had to write a review so potential customers are aware of the poor aftercare service. Gorenje outsource their repairs which is fine but, not only have they wasted my time but that of 2 repair companies. Buy a different brand like I’m about to do.

Gorenji WE843 washer too loud and very annoying. Highly not recommended!

New freezer power consumption 1/3 more than stated

Bought a new freezer combination. Consumption according to Gorenje 244kWh per year, actual consumption approx. 380kWh per year at the lowest setting, i.e. refrigerator at 8c and freezer at -16c. Checked by Gorenje customer service, according to Gorenje everything ok, such deviations are apparently normal. Not recommended, power consumption figures unrealistic

Purchased a fridge freezer from a local dealer in Grimsby the Gorenje nrk6191mxuk at a cost of £500.

Had delivered set all up no problems , didn’t come with handles however or screws for the handles didn’t bother us so much as you can open a door without one.

Six months later the door alarm goes faulty it beeps when the door is closed and when the door is open the interior light goes off as it thinks it’s closed ?
It will also randomly beep when it wants even if you haven’t been near the fridge freezer or opened it.
Rang the shop didn’t want to know ( starks appliances ) spoke to Gorenje took ages to get to someone they phoned back two days later after we uploaded photos etc of the unit as requested. Missed the call phoned back and got through to Argos ?! Nobody had a clue what was going on even when I got through to Gorenje after 8 attempts.
Agreed to get someone out to me 5 days later which still waiting on, however the engineer coming has already phoned doesn’t seem to know much about this model or how to fix it but he will come and look at it … well that’s a lot of good … never buying this brand again stick to a more well known brand in future in the UK market and don’t touch these cowboys.
I’d like my £500 back please Gorenje so I can go buy from another manufacturer…

This company is refusing to honour the 5 year guarantee I was given. They simply say it was issued in error. The after care service is appalling.

WH1653S1XGB cooker hood for 2.5 years and it has been fantastic. However, looking at the cost of replacement parts the expression (ripoff) comes to mind.
I used to be a domestic engineer so would normally repair it myself when out of warranty, I now imagine having to bin the hood as and when it fails.

I bought a washing machine and when I started show me an error , I have been call the dealer and I am still waiting someone to fix the machine for 2 months I am hoping to solve that problem. To pay good price for something and not to have it is very disappointing.

Gornje products in the middle east are useless. It does not matter how good the product is you will end up throwing it with smallest problem you face because there service in this part of the world is zero. They do not reply to calls and their main branch is hundreds of km away in a neighbor country. So better you throw the product and buy another one from an internatinal competitors.
