Company will never deliver your items and good luck getting a refund

This company uses GSL Shipping, which has hundreds of online reviews stating that packages are never delivered. Worse than never delivering, GSL posts completely phony delivery results, as in "road closed" as an excuse for delivery failures. Grandin Road will make you wait two weeks for a refund while the package is shipped back to them, while discourteously ignoring the fact that your time (in taking off time from work to receive packages) has been affected. The items in the catalog are a mirage - they are lovely, but not only will you never receive them, you will end up fighting for a refund from Grandin Road. Buyer beware.

This is honest and constructive… I would not ever buy Grandin Road counter stools again. The seating is bonded leather…thin sheets of leather bonded to vinyl. It peals away after only a short time. The bottom also gives out, so we had to take the bottom covering off and put in a piece of 3/4” plywood to keep the seat from sagging. Not an easy task. We are seniors, we are not obese…. These stools are just not the quality you expect. I am buying Amisco this time.

I received an order of Frankie table &…

I received an order of Frankie table & 4 folding chairs. After setting up table, we noticed a small dent.
I sent an email to customer service over a week ago, and have not received the courtesy of a response.
After taking the shipping box apart, we noticed a note on the inside of the inner box telling me to save box along with instructions to repackage it for return. To me repackaging is virtually impossible. That’s why I sent an email.
The point is that Grandin Road has not responded for me to figure out what to do.

I purchased an item online

I purchased an item online. I had changed my address prior to the purchase. They sent it to an address I had not lived at for 6 years, which is in a different state than where I reside. The offered absolutely no help despite their error. They told me to return the item, which is impossible given its location. They said they would give me a store credit once they received the returned item. I have no way of contacting the person living at my old address and now am out money for nothing. Terrible customer service.

Horrible Customer Service by Sarah Boone

I would avoid this company based on our experience with “Product Specialist” Sarah Boone. We waited weeks for a master bed. It was delivered and unboxed as ordered, but once we began assembly, we discovered that a crucial box of hardware was missing, making it impossible to put the bed together.
Sarah Boone was assigned to our case, but all we got from her is that she had contacted the vendor and to reach out to her with any questions. Since then, despite multiple attempts to contact her by phone and email, we have received no response. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Ordered bats two sets they’re both… unhappy customer

Ordered bats two sets they’re both broke sending me one set out called about the second set that is now broke. They want me to pay for three and then when they come send the other ones back and then they will credit my account that’s not gonna happen your stuff is way too expensive.

@Grandin Road is annoying…

@Grandin Road is the most annoying place to try to shop. I had placed 3 items in my cart and before I could complete the order the price had changed. Also, the free shipping disappeared and when I contacted customer service they were no help. I will shop elsewhere.

Stay away from them

What is one thing for them? It was OK but there’s no way I can stop endless emails and text messages. They just keep pouring in one after the other would never do business with this company.

Refunds take FOREVER! and only if you call

Refunds take FOREVER and require you calling them and waiting on hold for a long time just to get a person on the line. It seems like they just hope that you forget about the fact that they owe you a credit, so make certain you keep your return receipts and put it in your calendar to check your credit card bill.
My Story: I placed an order for outdoor planters. Despite being different sizes of the same style planter, they were different shades of white. Since this looked strange as they sat side by side, I returned them. I tracked the delivery and they were received at the warehouse two weeks ago. I have still not gotten my refund. After another 25 minutes on hold, I spoke to someone who said she didn't know why the money had not been refunded and that she would send the request to the credit department, so I would need to wait another 2-3 business days to see the credit. We will see...

Rylan Wide Dressers Navy: paint residue on bedding stored there!

Ordered 2 Rylan Wide Dressers in navy blue, beautiful but unusable due to the fact that the paint residue on the drawers interior rubbed off on bedding we stored in them. I contacted customer service, never received a response from the same person twice so kept getting similar responses or crickets............... I asked, since I loved the dressers, if they had any advice as to how I could solve the issue or could be assured that it wouldn't happen again if I exchanged for the same. I sent requested photo & video evidence of ruined bedding & how the paint residue came off on my hands by just running my fingers along the underside of the drawers. Nothing!!! In the end I got so fed up of waiting for resolution I told them to issue a pick up or exchange! They issued a pick up, no phone call, just an email stating when they would pick up. Horrible, ineffectual customer service and never an offer to compensate in any small way for all the ruined bedding. I will never order anything from them again or recommend them to anyone. They should be ashamed!

Moderated my bad review of their dresser. I do not recommend. Poor quality and lack transparency on their reviews.

Here was my censored review.

This dresser is the worst. It looks cute but I can't get it to keep the drawers shut. It may be that the stuff in there is too heavy which is just normal stuff, not bricks. It might be ok for clothes. Very cheap. An Ikea dresser would be more functional. Very disappointing.

Totally misled by salesperson

We were shopping for a rug for our deck and found one at a Grandin Road store. The item did not have information or a description attached, so we questioned the salesperson specifically if the rug would be suitable for our situation ( outdoor deck/ open to weather/hot). We were assured that it would.

The first day it was out, we had rain, and a gel-like substance oozed through the fibers and sides of the rug. When we contacted their customer service we were told it was suitable for COVERED outdoor use ONLY, not for direct outdoor weather.

The one-star review rating is charitable. This is our only and last purchase from this company.

Grandinroad is a bait and switch…

Grandinroad is a bait and switch company. Catalog shows deep discounts in a "warehouse sale" but strangely enough, the items aren't available ie all sold out. I just got the catalog yesterday.
It's a Fortune 500 group that owns other high-end stores. They're not in it for the love of home decor.

overpriced queen inflatable bed JUNK

Bought their overpriced queen inflatable bed on frame. Used 3 times over 3 or 4 years and mattress failed. Called and they replaced nattress because they know if it stays in deflated position it cracks or splits.
Put new one on this time kids came and frame fell apart and piece slit second mattress. Their answer is "out of warranty". DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CRAP OR THIS COMPANY. You can get better at Walmart.

Do not trust this company

Do not trust this company. Their inventory is not up to date on their site and / or company is completely dishonest. I ordered Christmas decorations and ordered items from other stores to add to my display based on my purchase from Grandin Road. No notification what so ever on order status - I had to call. The automated phone system said order was processing but when I went back to the original email of the order, it said cancelled. I phoned and was told they didn't have the items to ship. Unbelievable! Inventory system and customer service run by a bunch of idiots.

This company is horrible. Bought a Halloween decoration, did not work. Sent it back and they sorted me $16 for the experience of packing it up, driving to post office. Thanks for nothing. Don't use them

Poor quality

We recently purchased some fall decorations. They were blue and white pumpkins. Two for $69.00. On sale. They are NOT anywhere close to being worth that money. Just painted plastic. I tried to post a negative review on their website and they rejected it. So, I’m returning them and I’ll never buy anything from them again.

Poor manual and poor customer service from Grandin Road on an EZ Bed

What may turn out to be an acceptable product was not well served by customer service.

I ordered a Grandin Road EZ Bed with automatic shutoff. This item has a zippered case within which an inflatable mattress and attached collapsible frame are permanently secured.

It arrived promptly and I carefully removed it from the box. I found no packing slip nor any instruction manual.

I called Customer Service and asked about getting the instruction manual. Expressing surprise that it was not in the box, the agent assured me that the instruction manual would be emailed to me shortly. It arrived shortly. However, it was NOT the manual for the "with auto shutoff" feature. I called Customer Service again and finally got the correct instruction manual. However, the instructions were not very clear about how to unzip the case. They merely said to "Unzip the case completely before inflation".

So I found a zipper tab and commenced unzipping until I encountered a corner of the case where the zipper had been stitched over so that I could not unzip it further. The stitching was a continuation of stitching binding the outer cover to the base of the case. Puzzled, I called CS again and explained that I could not completely unzip the case due to the stitching over the zipper. She, the agent, instructed me to clip the stitch. I did so and continued unzipping only to encounter an end of the zipper adjacent to which was another end with zipper tab with zipper ahead of it to be unzipped, so I continued my unzipping only to encounter another cross-stitch on the zipper which I dutifully clipped. Finally I wound up with both zipper tabs together on edge edge of the flap that was to be opened. Only then did I come to realize that I should not have clipped either of those cross stitches. I should have stopped at the first one and then gone back around the case to find the other tab and unzip it to its stitch. The instructions should have enclosed a clear message to "unzip each side of the case to a point where there is a stitch across the zipper.

But Customer service did not know that!!!!

Having overcome the shortcoming of bad customer service as to the stitches, I proceded to the inflation step and, lo and be hold, zip-tied to the power cord was a plastic bag with the folded instructions in it.

And remember the Customer Service was surprised there were no instructions in the package!!!

All of this could have been avoided by clear instructions on how to unzip the package. The cross-stitching the zipper to provide a dead stop for unzipping was a design flaw, undoubtedly to save a few pennies. And nobody thought to train Customer service on this matter. Pretty poor business.

After getting through the lack of a manual, poor manual, and equally poor CS, I deployed the bed and it appears as advertised. I have un-deployed it and that worked as advertised as well.

I ordered stools

I ordered stools. They were supposed to be in stock. It took over five weeks for them to ship. When they arrived one was damaged. I took pictures and emailed them. Two days later, nobody responded yet.

Follow up, they made good and sent a new one immediately. And, they let me keep the damaged one at 30% discount.
