Great Western Camping is a specialist Outdoor and Ski retailer. We stock an extensive range of clothing and equipment for walkers, skiers and climbers. Our brands include Patagonia, Salomon, Rab, Scott, Head, DMM, Petzl Dolomite and Salewa. We are a family run, independent retailer and pride ourselves in good customer service. Our shop in Dorchester was established in 1986 and has twice been a winner of the Outdoor Industry Association’s outdoor retailer of the year award.

The team in the shop could not have been more helpful, knowleable. Warm from the off. Asking all the right questions, so that i could forfill my needs in their shop. I was so impressed with the make of boots they were selling me i bought 3 pairs. I did have a fault with one pair. Not the guys in Great Westerns fault. They could not have been more helpful sorsing me a replacement.
Great customer service and great products. As a walking enthusiast, i could loose my self in their store. As they have such a wonderful aray of products. For every type of out doors adventure you might ever want to have.
Highly recomended for out doors adventurs.

Shoe requirement satisfied
These hard to find walking shoes were a good price, and delivery was prompt. Would buy again from GWC.

Website is very easy to navigate.
The question I asked via the site was promptly answered by Billy with informed comments.
The boots I ordered are great and arrived a few days later, and in the box was a compliments slip with a hand written thank you for purchasing from them.
I phoned a few days later to thank them and asked for further advice. Again they were more than helpful.
Well done and thank you Mark and your team.

Great service
I searched all over the internet for the size 14 shoes which I eventually bought from these guys. Their price was excellent. Service was great and the walking shoes arrived in time for my impending trip away.
