No words for the grief they caused

I have ‘never’ had such a horrific experience as I have with this company. I got to the point where my mental health was severely at risk. I appealed a fine, lost, more than happy to pay, the online platform was useless, customer help non existent, I have no way of knowing how much to pay (cheque note my only option), as the information they provide is not up to date, vague, inconclusive. Of it wasn’t for my friends I ‘would’ be in hospital. They need to be shut down asap.

I visited MOTO Services on the M4 (chieveley services).
I am a disabled driver with a blue badge, and a disabled registered vehicle, the services do not have a 7m parking bay for my vehicle only the lorry park,80 to 250mtrs from the main building , I received a parking ticket because I had to use the Coaches parking area for ten minutes, Groupnexus is the car park operator, they fined me, a disabled driver £60, I appealed the fine, but my appeal was refused even though I sent a PDF copy of my blue badge, and V5 proof of disabled vehicle class. Groupnexus are guilty of abusing disabled drivers, they even cropped the photo so they did not display my blue badge, my vehicle could have been parked out side Buckingham Palace there was no proof of location.

Appealed and was successful.

I received a parking ticket for Solihull retail park saying I had been there for 8 hours.

I appealed the decision explained how I couldn’t have been there that long and provided evidence to the contrary.

Within 24 hours somebody had replied and the charge had been cancelled.

An actual human even replied which was a bonus.

Twice now i have recieved tickets from this bunch of cowboys for central retail park Falkirk, both wrong. Have had the first cancelled with the help of park management, portocabins behind cineworld, they will give you a link for the cctv footage to prove your case. Get in quick as its destroyed after 28 day, whole you are there ask to file a complaint with the management. It is impossible to get through to these scammers on the phone all you get is an automated system and cant find out where to make a complaint. The one director is resident in the UAE so camt be tracked down. Do not give them a penny and take legal advice.

Visited Shrewsbury Hospital

Visited Shrewsbury Hospital to see a consultant. Paid for parking on exit using the correct numberplate even though the machine had recognised an S as a Z! Received a penalty notice 2 weeks later with the correct registration plate. So far the number plate recognition system at Shrewsbury Hospital has failed to recognise the plate correctly 3 times even though it is clear in the photos.

This company are doctoring evidance.

This company are doctoring evidance.
They have me parking for 9hrs in a location i visited twice in one day, so the pictures used are of me parking in the morning and leaving in the evening.
If they had checked the footage they would see me leaving in the morning around 1hr later and arriving in the evening and leaving around 20mins later.

I have hastings you drive it tracks my drive and records it.
It shows me doing around 5 trips in the time i was suppose to be on the car park.

Think about it and try gather evidence before paying them.
Ring door bell footage, Local shop camera etc

Don't know how these people sleep at…

Don't know how these people sleep at night. I will never visit any retail park that use this company. Everyone should stop so shops get rid of them and bankrupt the monsters. Kingsway in derby can take over an hour to exit, yet camera is top of rd of an horrendous exit, which can take 30mins to get to the top,but they will still fine you through no fault of your own. Previous company a manager said if you provided proof you spent money in their shops as they don't want to loose customers for fear of accidentally going over time limit said they did , but these money grabbing cretins wont. My advice is, don't use ANY car park they operate at, so retailers wont use them and we can get rid of them for good. What goes around, always comes around!

My mother was rushed into hospital

My mother was rushed into hospital. I parked on the new multistorey carpark belonging to the hospital. On my exit I paid and the barrier lifted as I drove through. If i didnt pay the barrier would NOT of lifted. Around a week later got a ticket to say i had not paid. I had all the proof that I had on my bank statement but then had to email and send all the details which took me time to do.

The letter has just come back from them saying everything's cancelled but no apology from them. This is one horrid company hearing so many bad things about them from so many people 😡😡😡

Absolute SCAM CAR PARK

Absolute SCAM CAR PARK. hospital appointment, machine not working told to use the App no issue. After a few visits all ok Auto pay via App, one occasion the app did not work, i was not to know until i received a letter for a fine £40

They can have all the signs they want! how are people to know if the app has a glitch or not, and no one wants to pay double.

My complaint is the Exit Barrier shouldn't always open. As this results in to false indication if a person has paid or not.

What is their mitigation plan in place for this faulty barrier !!! and to stop scamming car park user's!!

Absolutely terrible experience.

Absolutely terrible experience.

I was charged for parking despite being a genuine member of The Gym Group and entitled to use the car park. The validation machine wasn’t working, I followed the gym staff’s advice and appealed the charge, but the communication afterwards was extremely poor.

The matter was eventually passed to debt collectors and I felt forced to pay £170 to avoid further escalation.

Extremely stressful and frustrating experience. I’ve now raised a formal complaint and requested a full refund. Definitely not acceptable.

Foresty England and Nexus

We paid for a ticket at Foresty England on our way out of there because there was no machine where we parked. A sign said to pay at arrival but there was no machine up where we parked. We got a Penalty from Nexus and appealed. Nexus/cp plus still rejected it. What a disgusting Company to take our Money for the Ticket and want more just because we paid when we left and not on arrival. And Foresty England works with such a group.

GroupNexus - Disgraceful company.

Disgraceful company. I have had my appeal rejected now by POPLA, as the information pack provided by operator in my original appeal to NEXUS was inadequate to answer my queries of the day in question.
As others say, the telephone lines are all automated, and so I have resorted to an email, asking for it to be referred to the complaints team.
I am expecting a debt collection letter now, as they are unlikely to respond within timeframe.
- Well, they can see me in court! £3.50 CP charge, but fine is £80. Disgusting.
Sharks!

An absolute shambles of a company

An absolute shambles of a company. My wife parked at Freckleton Street in Wigan and fully paid for her parking session. We hold concrete, undeniable proof of payment. Despite this, Group Nexus hit us with a predatory Parking Charge Notice (PCN).
When we appealed with clear, indisputable evidence proving their system had messed up, they doubled down. Instead of admitting their error, they sent out an automated "parking charge reminder," trying to bully us with inflated charges and attempting to misquote case law to justify their scam.

Let’s dismantle their legal posturing: companies like this love to hide behind ParkingEye Ltd v Beavis [2015] UKSC 67. They throw it around like a blank check to fine whoever they want. But let's look at what the Supreme Court actually ruled: Beavis only allows a parking charge to exist if there is an actual, unfulfilled breach of contract and a legitimate interest in traffic management. When a driver enters a car park and successfully pays the correct tariff in full, a valid contract is executed and completed. No breach of contract occurs. You cannot penalize or fine someone for a "breach" when they have literally followed every single rule and paid you your money. Continuing to chase people after this point is entirely legally baseless.

Worse still, pursuing automated threats and inflating demands after being supplied with factual proof of payment crosses the line into administrative harassment. Continuing to process and monetize personal data when there is zero lawful basis to do so puts them in flagrant breach of the UK GDPR data accuracy principles (Article 5).

Administrative errors happen to any business, but refusing to back down when caught out—and trying to intimidate the public with legal jargon you don't understand—is bang out of order. We won't be bullied, and we won't pay a single penny for a session that was already paid for.

Absolute cowboys.

Expect retribution to come your way, the breach of gdpr report has been sent to the ICO, trading standards are involved,The British Parking Association are notified of your fraudulent working practices. You will be held accountable for your cowboy actions!!!!

Completely devoid of common sense, fairness, or basic humanity.

I was charged £100 after becoming trapped at Thurrock Services because of a fire on the Dartford Crossing, which brought traffic to a complete standstill. There was simply no way to leave the car park because every exit route was blocked.

I had two young children in the car, no air conditioning, and temperatures of around 38°C. This was an emergency situation entirely outside my control. I wasn't choosing to overstay—I physically couldn't leave.

I explained all of this in my appeal, yet it was rejected without any meaningful consideration of the circumstances. The decision felt completely devoid of common sense, fairness, or basic humanity.

A company that cannot distinguish between someone deliberately overstaying and a motorist trapped by a major incident has a fundamentally flawed approach to enforcement. Applying rules without any reasonable discretion does nothing but punish innocent people.

This experience has destroyed any confidence I had in this company. Charging people £100 in exceptional circumstances like these is indefensible, and rejecting a genuine appeal only reinforces that impression. I would strongly advise others to think twice before using any car park managed by this company.

I am extremely disappointed with Nexus…

I am extremely disappointed with Nexus Group's approach to customer service. I received a parking charge for overstaying by only a few minutes, despite being a regular customer who uses this facility every single week.

There was no consideration whatsoever for a genuine human error. Instead of showing any understanding or goodwill towards a loyal, frequent user, they chose to issue a parking charge with no flexibility. It's disappointing that customer loyalty seems to count for nothing.

Policies are important, but so is common sense and treating customers fairly. A few minutes over the limit shouldn't result in a parking charge, especially for someone who regularly uses the site. This experience has left a very negative impression, and I hope Nexus Group starts treating genuine customers with a bit more understanding.

After showing evidence that I parked…

After showing evidence that I parked fairly they reduced my penalty to £20 to pay for "their fees"... I shouldn't be paying this at all as they were in the wrong. Showing that the gym parking is 3 hours and you are charging me for 2 hours parking. To be honest they should be paying me as a goodwill gesture for wasting my time and getting this charge wrong.

An absolute disgrace of a company that is clearly inept. Group Nexus have the contract for the patient car park at Wigan Infirmary. For the second time in two weeks they have sent my ill and frail mother who has been to the hospital twice for treatment a penalty charge notice. The carpark is ANPR monitored and exit is upon payment. Both times. Payment has been made and both times the company have fraudulently obtained my mothers details from the DVLA by providing false information to the DVLA to send threatening demands for money they have already been paid. Absolute disgrace of a company that is basically modern day racketeering.
