I have used Hansons twice (silly, right?) once on gutters, then again on siding. For the gutters, I chose black. They told me it would be a Hansons crew installing it - it was a no name sub-contractor... Voir plus

Chose Hanson’s to do a roofing job…
Chose Hanson’s to do a roofing job based on their visibility in the market and their guarantee.
I should have know something was fishy when the sales rep disappeared on me when I made a request for a lower cost product... but another rep made it right.
Things only got worse from there. A dumpster was supposed to be delivered the day the job was to start. Not only was there no dumpster, there was no crew. I called the company several times and never received a call back!
The next day a crew shows up, but there is no dumpster. So I have trash and debris surrounding my house. Still no call until the crew hit a snag with a piece of wood. Next thing you know... my phone is blowing up! Once I talk to the person at the company, before an apology ever comes out their mouth... they try to charge me 5K to fix the wood problem. Fortunately, I had someone come out before I spoke to them to fix it and not slow down my job.
Later that day, a little, and I mean little trailer shows up to my house that can only hold one small section of the trash around my house.
The next day, the crew shows up... and still no trash removal or real dumpster so the have to leave more trash around my house. And guess what... still not a word from the company! The contract states clearly that there would be no trash.
So here we are at day 5 of my little job... no bad weather to date... with extra vents that obviously should have been installed, a pile of trash around my house, still no dumpster, and no explanation.
I will never refer or recommend this company to anyone. The same experience I willing to pay a little more to avoid is worse than what I would have received from the little guys.
My next call will be to my attorney.
$55,000.00 worth of roof and siding…
$55,000.00 worth of roof and siding lifetime guarantee in March 2020 then in June 2020 fascia has fallen off siding buckling and have been trying to get someone to come and look at it, always get voice mail what a joke an expensive joke would not recommend hanson ever they are quick to send someone to sign you up to get their money not so much on fixing anything I don't know where to go from here I guess maybe seek legal action
DANGER DO NOT HIRE!!
This has been a nightmare from the start. The crew they sent to put on a new roof literally didn’t know how. It’s installed and I wish I could share pics, there are nails not fully seated everywhere, drip edge 1/4-1/2 inch away from the edge in many places. The ridge vent is installed in a “wave”. And stand behind the workmanship ... non-existent. BEWARE!
I have been trying to get my screen…crappy service
I have been trying to get my screen door I paid for over six months ago and no one seems to know how to help. Been waiting on my promised window repair now for over three weeks and no call or service done yet. Really am getting sick of this crappy service or lack of service.
My landlord had the roof replaced by…
My landlord had the roof replaced by Hanson's. It took the contractor over 4 days to get it done. After completed they left shingles every where and when they came to pick up the make shift dumpster they hit the front porch. I am a disabled veteran read my ramp is attached to the porch when they hit the porch it through my ramp off. My landlady has been calling them every day and all he's been getting is empty promises. I would not recommend them to my worse enemy. Black Dollars are green to. I gave up my freedom for this country not to be treated like this.
I have a geodesic dome
I have a geodesic dome. Hanson tells me they can not do my roof. They would not even bid it. I think they didn't know how to measure it. Do yourself a favor don't waste your time with this place!
Very disappointed
Very disappointed. Need a new roof. Hansons was my 3rd estimate and 16,000???? On a double wide manufactured home??? Makes no sense when I was getting estimates between 6-7000. And very disappointed that no one came out to look at the roof. They looked at my roof through satillite? Very unprofessional.
They did my siding,windows fascia…
They did my siding, windows fascia, soffit. insulation and gutters plus did what's called wrapping. they wrapped all the window and plus beams and pillars with aluminum I had.
No other company would even consider the job but Hansons did and did a amazing job!!
their warranty is incredible and have had no issues.
The siding doesn't fade, they have 30 warranty on the siding. the fascia is pattened design by Hansons that allows ventilation all the way around the home. windows again amazing and life time warranty.

Horribly, frustrating experience......
Obtaining an estimate for the replacement of my roof and gutters was truly one of the worst experiences I have ever had in trying to contract work. During my first call to them, mid call we are disconnected. Having just given their agent my phone number I was hopeful for a call back. Never came meaning I once again had to listen to their messages prior to connecting to an agent. Speak with the agent set up appointment for a Friday at 3pm. Was told I would be contacted beforehand. Never was. Rush home from work for my 3pm Friday meeting and nothing - no call, no email no communication at all. Call again, have to give not so apologetic agent all my info once again and then schedule an appointment for the following Monday. Am contacted on Monday by someone stating they were having difficulties using satellite imagery to obtain info needed and thus had to send someone out to take images. Needed to reschedule, Thursday of same week. Wednesday night someone comes around 6pm to take images. Get info for scheduled Zoom meeting, meeting starts and Hansons rep says he received my info 20 minutes before our scheduled meeting and had not had time to review it. He then proceeded to hold me hostage for over an hour with a canned presentation they are forced to give while simultaneously reviewing my info. We get to the moment of truth, cost, four figures are quoted, low to high. As there were multiple parts to the job I asked for the parts to be priced separately, and to email the estimates in writing. I was told no, that i couldn't get hard copies of what was presented to me. Mind you low estimate was $15000+ and high $23000+. I was told I would get copies once I selected them for the project. I thanked him for wasting my time and hung up. How can any company expect you to contract a job for that kind of money without providing an itemized hard copy estimate? Truly.a horribly frustrating experience .
You have a keeper in Marilyn!!!!
Back in January 2020 I decided to brave the project of siding my house. It was a huge expense (for me) but Chris Pfaff did a great job working out a great deal for me. Then COVID-19 came to visit us all and put my project on hold. I assumed that I wouldn't hear anything until the EO was lifted. Let me tell you about the best phone call I have ever received. Her name is Marilyn Weitz and she called to let me know they had my siding and were ready to schedule the installation. I was so excited and took the first date I could get. During the process there were some things didn't go and look as I expected. Thankfully I kept Marilyn's phone number and called her. She took immediate action and resolved my issues above and beyond what anyone would expect, and that's saying a lot for someone that also works in customer service and takes it very seriously. She went above and beyond what I would have expected but also kept the company's bottom line in mind. Hanson's, you have a keeper in Marilyn and I hope that you realize that and treat her very well! I feel as though I have a new friend and I'm so lucky. Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication, Marilyn! Christopher B.
Any of you folks that would like to…
Any of you folks that would like to join in a class action or group law suit please contact me. I'm in the same boat as all of you and I'm done. This is the WORST company I have ever done business with. Huge drafts, locked out of my house again today by my worthless doorwall. Install of 26 windows April 2020 and problems since the first DAY!
Hanson's is nothing more than a fast…
Hanson's is nothing more than a fast talking overpriced lying company who never answers their phone, they are the worst company i have ever dealt with, do yourself a favor, steer clear of them, all they want you to do is sign on the dotted line and they will say ANYTHING to get you to do it!
Sales Pitch is a Joke
Didn't even make it through the Sales Pitch without getting the overwhelming feeling of wanting to throw up. Really? Your quote for a basic roofing job was DOUBLE the price that everybody else offered! Get over yourselves! Bunch of greedy crooks! Do NOT work with these guys. Their sales pitch lasts forever and they shoot down everything that you want if it doesn't match the agenda that they want to sell you before the meeting. What a joke!
Hanson's is a company that has poor customer service and even worse workmanship!
I had my new roof installed in May of 2019 and the results have been awful. They came, they saw and they caused a World of headaches for me. They destroyed my gutter guards, left roofing debris everywhere including nails and did not install the chimney flashing correctly resulting in water damage. Hanson's wants me to turn over the interior water damage to my insurance company. For anyone considering using Hanson's, I will only say "Caveat Emptor!" All of these negative reviews are statistically relevant. Any business will not make everyone happy and with this many negative reviews, there are problems.
What a scam
What a scam. My 75 year old father had a bad leak in his house and didn’t want to bother us and so he took it upon himself to call Hanson’s. They came out and quoted him $10,000 for only the center portion of his tiny roof.. not the front porch or the backside of the house- because he couldn’t afford any more. Mind you, his house is SMALL (822 square feet in total). They gave him a salesman pitch on who their contractors are and the materials they use.. and that it’s guaranteed for life. He signed the contract and put $2000 down. Thank god I talked to him the night before he could cancel this contract. Because not only would the roof not be guaranteed for life considering they were only doing the middle section and water runs down— therefore any future leaks would have been blamed on the portions not done. My significant other is a contractor and he had his men come out and estimate the ENTIRE roof (rotten wood and all) to be done for $7000 or less. Hanson’s probably would have charged minimum $16,000 if they were quoting $10,000 for only the middle portion. And they were going to finance this for him at a rate of over 9%. The salesman he worked with was very obviously taking advantage of an elderly person who didn’t know any better. When my dad called to cancel his contract within the 3 business days he was allowed to do so, this salesman began verbally abusing my father over the phone.. yelling at him about how whoever he hires will be crooks and drug dealers. My dad politely said, okay, this conversation ends here, I’m hanging up. As the salesman continued to yell at him until my dad hung up the phone. The next day my dad went to his credit union and learned he was able to take out a home equity loan for an interest rate of 4.75%. So not only is he going to get his roof replaced for under half the cost of Hanson’s, by very honest and reputable people, even his interest rate is half of what they were going to provide at Hanson’s. The sales rep that met with my father took advantage of him not knowing any better and using his sales pitch jargon. The salesman realized my dad is on a fixed income and tried to reduce his monthly payments so it “felt better”. This company, and especially the salesman he worked with wholeheartedly and knowingly took advantage of an elderly person. Shame on them. For what? Commission in their pockets? I would highly advise to avoid this company at all costs. Get quotes from 3 companies and then you’ll see how this specific business operates. I’ve heard of Hanson’s dropping their cost by almost half when someone wasn’t immediately hooked, like my father was. That right there tells you that they’re legitimately trying to take advantage of people. Quoting obnoxiously high, hoping they get a client who doesn’t know any better.. and providing a 30-60 min spiel of why they’re the best and why they charge what they do. I plan on taking this complaint to the better business bureau because it was THAT obsurd and wrongful.

HORRIBLE customer service!!
Dear Marv,
I spoke with you awhile ago to resolve a roofing and gutter issue. After awhile we did have a young man come to "resolve" the roofing issue. So here's where we stand...It's been (once again) since last SUMMER since we've heard from you. We have YET to see a roofing inspector (which is part of WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE) NOT to mention that we ALSO have received no contact about fixing the damn gutters! Is it "out of sight out of mind for you Managers at Hanson's? What EVER happened to CUSTOMER SERVICE? When a person pays over $18,000 for a roofing and gutter job...they should EXPECT it to be done RIGHT! Here we sit TWO YEARS LATER with a job that is STILL not right and NO inspection was ordered! What's wrong with your customer service team? I THOUGHT I might change my mind about your company...but it's worse now. Please contact me to resolve this...You have my number. Jennifer K Lanphear Fair Lake Drive Delton Michigan 49046
1.5 years of hell, and still not done.
1.5 years after our purchase and we are still not finished. We have had over 8 install or inspection visits that have cost us days off of work, whole Saturdays trapped in our home, and countless phone calls, emails, and voicemails. They have failed to show up, cancelled on days we have made plans around them, and had rude people in their schedule department.
We have had in increase in the cost of our heating bills during a warmer winter, and that is not even counting the days that the door and windows have been just big holes in the walls.
Customer service has been saying they are sorry for the whole ordeal, but no one has said let us make it up to you ever. Their efforts have been to just keep us stringing along until we are so exhausted, frustrated, angry, and tired that we give up and just accept such monstrous treatment as a fulfillment of the original "no hassle installation of windows and doors right the first time!"
It would take a huge amount of alcohol to blur the promises of their salesman with how my family has suffered. At what point do we sue for damages? We are just about there.
4TH ROOFING PROBLEM
Like many people, same experience, roof keeps leaking. they send people who they say fixed the issue but only keep caulking. 4th time roof is leak in 3 years, in the same spot. Last year we changed drywall, repainted everywhere, problem is back. Litigation is the only solution at the point. We contacted our lawyer since no repair is actually done and they do not take people seriously. They pretend they take pictures and make reports, but it is going nowhere.
Is this company worth the price? What is the BBB Doing about this?
I'm having difficulties with this company and might seek a litigation lawyer. Paid 17,500 cash for a roof that is now on its 7th leak and they cannot still get it right. They were supposed to send a manager to view my ceiling which this leak has damaged and we are still waiting. This last time the roofer that was sent said they gave him the wrong shingles so he put those up and has yet to return to fix any of the ridges he said he would fix. They keep putting silicone instead of just fixing the piece. What happened to Hansen's so called no leak guarentee .
