Lie about warranty running out. Wanted £27pm

Much the same, claiming that my 10 year old boiler had just run out of warranty. Asked the cold caller why Trust Pilot only rated them 1.3... "I'm just sales". No idea of their service but if they are prepared to lie about the warranty running out...

They don't seem to take no.

Cold called me, told them that I wasn't interested. They insisted that they would send me some info to peruse.
Received a contract with a confirmation or reject tick box, I ticked the rejection box and returned the contract.
Received a direct form with a start date of 01/04/2026, immediately telephoned customer services (NOT using the 0844 number as suggested) told them that I have told them in the past that I didn't want their plan. Call taker said they would cancel it.
I await any further contact !

They have refused to pay up saying I am not covered for a circuit board apparently it’s in the terms and conditions
They r so quick to sell these plans but when u have no heating and stick with a £700 bill they don’t want to help
I wouldn’t mind I have been with them for years too
AVOID it’s worth paying British Gas extra when u know u will be treated correctly!!!!

CROOKS- A purchase you'll definitely regret

My mum has been with heat plan for a number of years and have never really had to use an additional services until recently. On 24th December, her carbon monoxide alarm began to bleep. After inspection from the fire service, she was told that her boiler was emitting carbon monoxide, and her boiler was then turned off.

Since then, she has been contacting Heat Plan to send out an engineer. She has managed to get through to an engineer who made it clear that he wouldn't be coming before boxing day. My mum is nearly 70, and is listed as one of Heat Plan's 'priority customers'. Today is 29th December and no-one has come out to her property. She was told someone is coming today, but no-one has arrived so far. My mum has contacted the engineer. He said that all the shops have been closed and so he will have to get a part from someone this evening. Before my mum could respond, he abruptly said, "thank you, bye" and hung up. He's apparently coming tomorrow, but he has said that a couple of times now, so who knows if her boiler will be seen tomorrow.

The phone operators, don't seem to care either.

From reading the reviews, it seems the tactic of this company is to prey on the vulnerable. This is a DISGUSTING COMPANY. Thieves for taking money, but not providing the service promised.

AVOID!!! Cold Calling with a misleading opening line

I was called today and a young lady from Heat Plan who opened by saying that she'd like to get my cover updated/renewed. Never had my boiler cover with Heat Plan at any time. I asked the young lady to repeat the name of the company and challenged her and she hung up. Obviously phone hunting for vulnerable people - they'll probably call it a "Marketing campaign"

Cold calling scammers who try and…

Cold calling scammers who try and convince you that your current contract has expired when I never had a contract, they couldn't tell me the make of my boiler, they refused to tell me where they obtained my contact details, the young lady representing this scam company got very angry, called me an ar5ehole and hung up... avoid at all costs.. Ironically, 2 days later the same company called again, a different female representative tried to convince me again of the above, this young lady didn't refer to me as an ar5ehole but did huff before hanging up. Both calls received on a Reading 0118 number but the last 6 digits varied.

I’m writing this on behalf of my 87…

I’m writing this on behalf of my 87 year old mother who has been paying every month this year to cover her boiler service but when she needs it doing then continued to fob her off saying we’re very busy at least 6 times but when I phoned the company GE Harding that do the services I booked it in within 2 days. I would give heatplan utilities 0 stars if I could please don’t ever use them they are basically scammers imo 😡😡😡

Conning the elderly and vulnerable!!!

My elderly mother was contacted by this company and signed up to pay monthly. When I called them they talked about 'the phone call' and I really had to push to find out whether she called them or they called her. Of course, they had called her. Immoral and disgraceful.

🤬🤬🤬 f w t and for people who dont swear

Like most others on here if i had the option for 0⭐️ it would of been selected!

I foolishy took out cover as the selling point for me was the radiators are covered…. When at that time my eoderly sick dad was living with me!
Great i thought one less worry!!

Recently i tried to make a claim as my main radiator in my living room broke…. 19/02/2025 i contacted them to arrange an engineer!
10 days later i rang back as no engineet had been in contact.
The engineer arranged to come and see me that evening….. seemed a nice guy - i asked when he had been sent the job he confirmed that it was 2 days after my intial call!!
Im still sat waiting for a new radiator to be fitted and i was told as i couldnt make myself available for a morning slot with the engineer to take a day off and that they will cancel my plan as it was only a guesture if good will that they were going to replace it ( the amount of money ive paid this company i could of paid for a houseful of new rads!

Im now going through the ombudsman who i located myself after being shouted at by a kid who i might just add ive probably got shoes older than him

If i could locate where they are based id quite happily take a trip and see who then would like to try and shout at me face to face

If i could describe this company in 2 words both would be swear words!

very dodgy company

I would not recommend this company to anyone, i used to work for this company as well so i know how it operates. its a bunch of teenagers given a script to read and to try and convince people they already have a plan with this company even if they don’t. it has an automatic dial on the computer that calls elderly people and shows all their information, they are encouraged to keep insisting even if the service isn’t needed. they use fake names and manipulate the elderly. the accounts department is just the floor supervisor that takes over the call at the end. do not let these scumbags take your hard earned money.

Calls

If I could give it no stars I would. Several calls over past fortnight but no one there. Each time I block they call from different 0118 number. When I call back it’s Heat Plan. Are they checking to see if house is empty.

Cold call for boiler cover

Cold call today saying that my boiler cover was due for renewal.
When I said I did not have boiler cover with them he said there were a number of companies they represented.
I asked him who I was covered with and he said that was confidential information.

Spam callers

Wish 0 stars was an option for this scam

Targeted my elderly grandfather who suffers from dementia and encouraged him to sign up to a direct debit. He does not even possess a boiler and they were taking monthly payments for their Boiler Plus Service. Targeting the vulnerable. Shameful.

RUDE COMPANY AND ANNOYING COMPANY

I don't want to even give this company 1 but I had to .. they constantly called my Aunty who has dementia to get her to take insurance on her appliences and boiler ... I spoke to the chap on the phone to try and explain she wasn't interested and to leave her alone ..only to get shouted at by the person so he could get his point across..he then said I needed to go to the bank to cancel a direct debit and he said " so we dont have to deal with people like you " so rude and no disregard for my poor Aunty... leave people alone stop phoning amd pestering them ... when they say they are not interested take NO for an answer
