Haven't yet cooked the ossa bucco but they look superb and when I have arranged some guests ,I look forward to serving them this dish

A great range of top rate meat
My first order arrived well packed and fresh. I was particularly taken by their wide range of products including an excellent choice of veal items (including kidneys) and sweetbreads which are hard to find. The beef sirloin joint, simply roast was meltingly tender and full of flavour. I'll be back.

Started with veal bones…..
I found these guys searching online for veal bones…. the veal bones made a great jus at a very reasonable price. The best bit however was discovering the rest of the catalogue, full of meat the quality of which I have struggled to source locally. Perfect packaging and delivery, they are certainly ‘on repeat’ - thanks

Missing chickenl
I have just received your parcel, which is missing the £25 chicken which was ordered. There are no details in the package, no explanation re the deficit. I would be please if you would refund me the money.

Really tasty beef
Really tasty beef - I bought a 5.6kg rib of beef for Christmas. I've used other online butchers in the past, but thought I'd give HG Walter a try this year, and I'm glad I did, the quality was excellent, I was very happy and actually have their website open in a different tab to make a new order!

WOW!! Great selection of produce, including beef, veal and chicken bones - which I want for stock. Placed my order and it was delivered the next morning. Each parcel was wrapped beautifully with care. Just spectacular. Great prices and I have finally found the butcher I am happy with and will order from. Thrilled. Delicious !!

Complaint dealt with
Ordered a half gammon joint for Christmas . The cut was entirely unsuitable for roasting being a triangular shape and impossible to cook evenly. HG Walter responded promptly when brought to their attention and dealt with my complaint appropriately.

Delivery was quick and perfectly packaged. Tastewise the meat was good if not knockout and reasonable value for money. Will try somewhere else next time just to compare.

An excellent Christmas turkey very much enjoyed by everyone. It was beautifully packed as well. The collection process was a bit disorganised but the offer of a mince pie to those waiting was well judged.

Beef Wellington Treat
First time that I purchased the Beef Wellington. This is a dish that seems to be enjoying a renaissance! The recipient said it was “really tasty” and paired with the dauphinoise potato’s. A quality product consistent with all previous orders.
