Homebase - Derby Kingsway Avis 

Lewis at the Derby Kingsway store was really helpful and went above and beyond with helping me sort getting my sofa bed in the car.

I had a kitchen designed by Kate at Derby Kingsway branch. Really impressed. Thank you for all you did.

From start to finish, Katie was polite, personable and professional- and never pushy. Her designs were accurate, her suggestions tasteful, and she was happy to rework the design when the penny finally dropped for me that splitting the kitchen into two (as it had been before) was a poor use of space, and would probably have looked rather odd! At the start I also had some rather unusual ideas about having different height worktops, and a 500mm deep worktop and sink so I could cram in two full size appliances. Katie managed to sober up my design without making me feel my suggestions were silly! She even managed
to match the full size Bosch dishwasher offer with the slimline version for me to match the sensible design, which made me feel great in that I was getting a fantastic deal.

In summary, an accomplished designer and customer service magician. Best customer service I have ever experienced.

Honourable mentions go to the pleasant gentleman and young lady who were my first points of contact and set up the design visit on the computer. I could tell the young lady recognised my face when she said hello on my next visit, which is really nice.

As to Homebase itself, I also tried two of your biggest competitors first. At homebase, there was no mis-measuring by 200mm, no fake smiles (just real ones) and no overgrown designer egos. Thanks again to Katie and all in the kitchens department at Homebase Kingsway.

Disinterested staff. Asked me my reservation number for click and collect the proceeded to talk to other members of staff whilst I was reading the number out. So inevitably I had to tell them the number again. Then had to wait too long for the trolley to be brought to me. (Derby Kingsway)

Free parking. Large shop. Lots of products and choice. Fabulous, helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Really impressed with the staff.

I went to the Homebase store at kingsway derby. The assistant called Lewis was so helpful very pleasant had a smile on his face and took me to the product I was after and adviced me on how much I needed to do the job. 5 stars for Lewis.

A great shop to find your DIY products. Ordered online ready in less than an hour. Staff very helpful. I use the shop all the time as it is a 10min drive.

Finding the product via the website was straightforward, with lots of useful information given. Had a good choice of collection points too. Staff at Derby Kingsway were excellent, so friendly and efficient. Product is very sturdy - just what we wanted and great value for money. Thankyou Homebase!

Guy in the paint aisle very helpful and knowledgable on paint choice and price ecomonical buying.

Paul in paints is amazing. I was deliberating for ages trying to find a match to an old Homebase masonry paint. Paul appeared and offered to help, normally I have to go looking for staff at other DIY outlets. He managed to mix the colour I needed, I didn't know that was a thing. I was thrilled. He then went onto impart knowledge on kitchen paints to another customer and showed, he really knows his stuff. Very personable, knowledable, friendly, and I am a converted Homebase paint customer owing to him.

How helpful the staff where at both Derby stores

Fantastic service, had help with products, so much help from Vanessa at the till to masonry expert and colleague who said they wanted to learn. Then carried the masonry sealant to the till for me.
Exceptional

Ryan collected a trolley, loaded 2 bags of compost and three bags of topsoil on for us.
Took us to pay and then very kindly loaded it all into the car.
