This will be my last purchase at the Homebase store Pollokshaws, their customer service is absolutely appalling, the guy at the checkout is also very rude and abrupt. ! Such a shame Homebase is actually a good retailer.

delivery was good, price was great, never had to deal with customer service however did try to call the glasgow store to see if they had an item in stock, tried 4 separate times before purchasing online, each time there was no answer. I also wanted to check if the jigsaw without battery had the same angle function as described when battery was selected as this was not clear on the website and had to check the model number on black and decker site. if it wasn't for the reduced price u would have purchased elsewhere.

No Homebase near us so we drove to 25 miles to Glasgow store to see an advertised patio set.

It was too big to fit in the car - very disappointing and the store could not arrange delivery but an excellent young man and another older team member was incredibly helpful, guided us to the website and we bought online. Delivered last week and not difficult to build delighted!

I’ve always been a Homebase fan and was very disappointed when my local Homebase closed down. You’ve a lot of young staff which is great but I don’t think they always have the experience to run things efficiently. When I was in there was nobody on the checkouts and only one person serving on the customer service desk with a big queue of people waiting to pay for their goods. I was not aware of any attempt to get another member of staff to assist with the queue, though eventually another member of staff noticed and opened up a checkout which made a big difference.

Ordered the item on 17th of June, was told it will be delivered by the 21st. On 1st July I was told that the item was delivered to the local post office. Well, it has not so I emailed HomeBase again to request the refund. They advised they will contact the supplier and get back within 3 working days. It is day 3 and… nothing really changed! Waste of time and money unless they return it. I do not feel I trust the shop with that though. Do not recommend.
