Homebase - Sittingbourne Avis

I was in Homebase this morning looking for a million things and didn’t know where to start, luckily for me Richard came to the rescue and helped me find everything with ease, he even helped me get things off the shelf that I couldn’t reach, he then took me to a check out where Trish and her wonderful self helped me bag up my goods and made me laugh and smile!!

I was purchasing timber in Homebase Sittingbourne and received great customer service from Jane. She was attentive, helpful and most importantly, very friendly. Thank you Jane

This was a really quick stop, as I knew exactly what I wanted and where it was. The two ladies on checkouts were helpful and happy, and talked to me about some decorating items on the ends of their checkout that I might find useful. I didn’t buy them on this occasion as I already had one of the items, and didn’t want the other. I wass as really struck by how cheerful the staff were. I think their names were Grace and Irene (but my memory is shocking!)

Arrived shortly before closure. I was after 3 items. Staff helped me to get them. In and out 3 minutes. Brilliant!

Wrong item was picked by Sue so when I turned up for click and collect it would have been quicker for me to get it but obviously that’s not the point of click and collect so was quite a waste of time.

Purchased 5 floating shelves of various sizes online using the click and collect service. Was expecting them to be ready for collection in a trolley of some description as 2 of the shelves were 1200mm 1 was 900mm and 2 were 600mm but no, they were placed into my arms to carry out to my vehicle. Because I was loaded up like a human donkey, I was unable to check the condition of the goods until I arrived home. Upon inspection, I found one shelf to have no packaging whatsoever and missing it’s fittings and 2 of the other shelves, despite being packaged as I would expect, were marked, dirty and had some minor damage. Very poor service, and very poor quality of product. Precisely why I ordinarily use screwfix!

I met Alex at the collection point, and as I wasn't sure if my sofa bed would fit in my car, he went above and beyond helping me.
He was thoughtful, practical, kind and together we unpacked the item, measured it and then he helped me put it in my car with a smile.

We waited ages at the click and collect counter pressing the call button a couple of times and nobody came to serve us so we had to go round the back of the counter and collect the pots ourselves. The pots were quite badly damaged to the point where they gave us 10% discount on them at the till
