It used to be good until they changed the search now you have to put a state in so disappointed

I have been looking for a poodle to adopt. I reached out to a person about a 5 mo old poodle that they couldn't keep. Their daughter had moved and couldn't take the dog. I had a nice conversation. They said I looked like a good match. Then nothing. I text back the next day about adopting the dog. I got a rude text saying "Dog has a home." I said thank you and that was it. I tried to look again today only to find out I have been blocked from the site. This site obviously doesn't screen their advertisers. I think it is a scam site!!

This whole website is a scam don’t buy shit from here. U can’t leave reviews which makes it difficult but this whole website is a complete scam . Save yourself the time from being wasted

I used hoobly today for the first time it’s Feb 19th 2026 and the puppy I found my wife was a corgi the lady we got her from was really friendly nice polite and most importantly she was legit the puppy is beautiful by the way they returned are call and we met up the same day at a location and I purchased the pup for a very good price so I would definitely recommend using hoobly just make sure you ask questions talk to them don’t send money up front not even a deposit to these scammers if they don’t want to talk and want you to send money or use WhatsApp something like that stay away from but we have a very good experience purchasing our pup from there! 👍👍👍👍

Sold a sick puppy, sad to say 100% puppymill

I used to love this site, but it has recently changed. There is no longer a way to report scammers, and I notice a lot of their sponsored ads (not the pop ups) are absolutely scam sites!!! This is appalling. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem as trustworthy as it used to be.

I cannot understand why so many people complain and leave bad reviews for Hoobly for things which obviously are not there fault. Many are like blaming Ebay or Amazon because the courier threw a parcel. It is not their fault. Similarly comments like, "Looks like a scam - as the seller did not get back in touch".., are not Hoobly's fault. For my business, Hoobly send regular emails checking I am still active. Checking I am genuine. They also send updates of recent scams and give advice on how to protect against bad people. What more could they do? Also claims they "Sell your information"are also unfounded. I register with each site like this with a slight variation in my name, (middle initial) and absolutely nobody has contacted me using my Hoobly details. From what I gather, Hoobly is run by one person. That is a lot of work for one. So how about you give the guy a break before leaving such unjustified negativity. Stay Safe Everyone, Gary. I’ve always had good experiences with Hoobly; however, this time I reached out to a seller about a senior dog she was rehoming at a decent price. I was very interested. All was going well until I asked to meet the puppy before going forward with any cash transactions. (Seller lives within an hour’s drive from me.) Suddenly there was total silence; none of my subsequent messages are being answered. She just shut down. Scam? I think so.

Filled with old ads. Users update ads every other day. Most won't reply to messages or call for Inquiry on items that they're selling. They are most likely, in my opinion, selling your information, email or phone number after you contact them.

I made an account because I was looking for a Sphinx cat. Two days later I was blocked from the entire site. My IP address was blocked. I don’t know why. Also the two customer service numbers do not work.
Update. I emailed Hoobly and I got unblocked. It took a few days I think because it’s just guy who is running it. Anyway I did buy a cat off of there.

I am not a breeder, but got lucky and posted my puppies here and sold 2 out of 4 puppies. I had a lady drive 4 hours to pick up a pup and we mutually drove 4 hrs to meet her halfway. No problems with this site except for a couple crazies using fake phone numbers for you to send extra puppy pics to. Other than that the site Hoobly is pretty good

I can’t get into my account that I have had for years. I’m directed to a sus site higopo that wants $40/ mo after a 3 day free trial.

Was sold a sick puppy from rvnsd437 (Anna) phone 419-665-6653. I contacted Anna within an hour of getting the puppy home. She insisted that he was at the vet on Monday and checked out fine. That he was playing and eating prior to us picking him up. To make a long story short she blocked me and I had no choice but to take the puppy to the emergency vet hospital in fear of him dying. Three days later he is still at the vet receiving 24/7 care. The vet bills are mounting and I feel as though the breeder should be held accountable for clearly neglecting this puppy. Does anyone know how I can pursue charges? As of today she still has multiple listings for other puppies. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.
So far I've left a message on the answer machine for Hoobly, I filed a complaint with the BBB, I messaged the seller multiple times through Hoobly since she blocked me.

I have an add on Hoobly.com and received two referrals from Hoobly but no data was sent by Hoobly to respond to. This does not bode well with me because Hoobly is suppose to help us sell our birds. I can not get on the Hoobly site as well.

I recently found this site and found it to be wonderful. I have been searching for a German shepherd pup to add to our family and thanks to this site I was able to find one easily at a great price. I can't speak to the issues that others were having on the seller side, as I have no experience there but I do know that one dedicated person basically does everything there. I reached out to him through there support email address and he responded within minutes!! Now I realize maybe I just emailed at an opportune moment but I was impressed none the less. I found the whole experience to be great and would definitely recommend the site.

Keeps blocking access saying I am using a VPN when I'm not! I've been a Hoobly member for roughly 10 years but it's gotten so annoying.

How come no kittens are being sold on Hoobly? Why does it take forever to sell something? I have gotten only 1 inquiry and that was from a scammer! Same old ads for kittens are up everyday! What is going on?

Maine Coon Kitten - At pick up the seller said she gave the kitten her first shots but failed to bring what was given so promised to text me asap the records. At that time I also requested a picture of the parents which conveniently she did not have on her phone. Several days later I asked her to please send the shot records again because I wanted to take her to the vet. asap. Ignored me, never sent the shot records and wow! what a surprise did not produce the picture of the parents. I took the kitten to vet. this week only to find out she has ring worm and a bacterial infection. This seller should be ashamed of herself and be banned from Hoobly. To make matters worse she used the same kitten picture for another ad. Total scammer! Userid is kittenss23. Buyer Beware!!!!

BEWARE of Hoobly.com and the breeder - mojgansophia. I had a bad experience with a breeder and cannot leave a review to warn potential buyers. Cannot leave a review for the website hoobly.com. I purchased a puppy, took him to the vet and discovered he will need surgery for an umbilical hernia. It was not disclosed prior to buying the pup.The breeder provided a booklet with the 1st visit vaccines recorded and a mention the hernia. I have taken him to my vet and was advised that he will need surgery. I contacted the seller/breeder and she has not offered even an apology. Even though I know better, I did not get a receipt in writing. I was too excited to pick up the puppy.
There is no way to leave a review/complaint of the Hoobly website or for the breeder we purchased the puppy.
